How much have you spent on your toy collection, anon?
>>5969925
Like 1000$
Not much but there aren't lots of things I want
$1600-1900
>>5969925
Including a backlog of gunpla that fills most of a closet, a little over $2000
>>5969925
Enough that I'd probably be considered a failure in life if I added it all up over time.
>>5969925
Upwards of $10,000 when you're into BJD
Around 2k. And I don't even have many shit, it's just two Hot Toys and a handful of designer toys.
More than I'll ever know.
Well over 10k
Mostly import japanese robots.
>>5969925
About £800 over the past 4 years
At least 15000
The past 2 years would be about $3600. A few hundred more the year before that when I started collecting.
>>5969925
10k in the past year. already threw most of it away.
meh.
>>5969925
Around 3k. Probably 45-50% of that is from shipping costs
>>5970217
What'd you buy?
>>5970254
Figmas, Bandai...
400€ and starting to understand what slippery slope meant
>>5970283
why throw it out? may as well have sold it for at least a partial refund
About 200 so far if you don't include lego. Maybe like 400 if you do include lego.
>>5969925
>all these plebs that havent spent over a grand on toys
im guessing around 5 grand. HLJ says i have spend over 2 grand there.
I honestly try not to think about it. When I do I'll just remind myself I would have wasted it on something else I'm sure.
At least 3K
You tell me anon
Around $30000
enough to buy a house in a major city
Oh several several thousands of dollars for sure, but I've also been buying and collecting stuff heavily since I was like 13. It's easy to have a mountain of crap when you are doing that for 15 years.
>>5971011
What's that gigantic Eva 01? I assume the other Eva next to it is a RAH.
Yeah, unit 02 is RAH, unit 01 is this
>>5971528
>buying a giant revoltech with no joints
>paying SHIPPING for a giant revoltech with no joints
Jesus christ what a waste of money.
>>5971617
Well it looks nicer than your dick and your parents clearly wasted their time and money.
>>5971528
>Enormous size
>Still can't give it a headsculpt that doesn't look completely off
>>5969925
roughly 17 grand
[nospoilersontoy]in third world coins[/nospoilersontoy]
>>5971011
>buy expensive dollies
>buy poorfag shelves to hold them
>cram as many toys that fit into them
>display is ugly as shit because of that and you can't appreciate each one for what they are
i'll never understand people like this
>>5972351
I don't even have the space for glass shelves so we manage our collections however we can, don't think I like displaying my most expensive toys to the mercy of the dust that they can collect.
>>5969925
My God anon, don't make me think of all the money I've wasted on toys when I could've gotten a better computer or even saved up for a car, I'm 32 and I am yet to have one.
>>5971528
Thanks
More than I'm comfortable with, to be quite honest. I'm at the point where I'm getting out of the hobby.
>>5972642
Same... until I see a toy that I fall head over heels for, I can't stop thinking about it and then I'm back into the same darned vice.
A lot. I've cut down a ton and sold a lot of lines I regretted getting into and made a decent chunk of change back though.
>>5972446
I got a car, part time but close in hours to full, and I'm a serial hoarders at 29 waiting on parents to kick the bucket to get me a house, step up senpai
How do you people even keep track of that shit?
I spend more on toys than I do on food, it keeps me in shape.
>>5972642
Yeah, this. I'm at the point now where I've realized how ridiculous it is to get so many items, especially when I barely display any of them. I got pulled into the bullshit logic of a rotating display, where I tricked myself into thinking that items that I wouldn't keep up as evergreens are even worth having. Fast forwarding to the truth of the matter: they're not.
I've been in the $300+/month club for far too long. Christ as my witness I am actually going to impose a 2017 budget of $600 total for the whole year on toys. I think it'll be surprisingly easy and help me focus in on what actually matters to me.
>>5975175
No you're not
>>5975226
Well it's not like /toy/ will be around long enough for you to find out one way or another, but I will.
