I was about to cancel my pre-order of your pic related but I didn't take notice of the release date change, I hope its really more white than the previous releases, need it to stand out from my roy fokker and armored valk sets so he doesn't look like a minor redeco

This is the only potential release anyone has teased me with that I actually want. Hi metals are cool but not my thing. Delta is an easy pass unless they release lowvis versions.

What I'd really like is a big battle 7. not that tiny little thing that was shown. Hopefully they don't misinterpret the lack of interest in the tiny toy as disinterest in the NMC class capital ships.

it's actually not expensive for what you are getting. Before this was announced just the VF-1S is over $200 without fastpack.

Macross toys are not cheap and even the lowest HI-Metal R is over $60.

You can get the cheap Robotech 1/100 roy super, but that is the opposite of best.

You can get the recently release Hi-metal VF-1a cannon fodder for around $65 or the just release VF-1J Hikaru. Get them soon before their price goes up.

I was really looking forward to getting the Hi-metal R Max VF-1 but sadly couldn't order it in time, so I started saving up for one of the bigger toys instead. I'm scared that I won't be used to transforming them though and end up breaking it, since from what I've seen that can be quite easy at times.
Also, should these toys be the kind of thing I should always be looking for new or would I be alright going with a used one from, say, Mandarake?
Maybe I'm just over-complicating this decision and the stuff about VF toys breaking often is overblown, or I'm just paranoid. I'm just really excited to finally get a figure from my favourite franchise and don't want a bad first experience.

The arcadia vf-1 is a great toy to start with. I have a few of the older yamato versions and they're pretty sturdy with the exception of the shoulddrs which needed a third party replacement. The issue that caused the need to replace the shoulder joints have long since been fixed by arcadia though so they're no longer a concern for newer releases.

i'm probably going to get a 1/48 hasegawa VF-1J and i'm looking forward to the hasegawa delta kits

If not for the Arcadia VF-1S being a really good deal at the moment, I'd suggest the VF-19. but the price of the VF-1 is too good to pass up att he moment, and those have been harder to find at a convenient price as of late. The others seem to stick in circulation better. Really, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the "main" Valk designs(VF-1, 19, and 25) as long as they're the newer release models(the v2 Yamato VF-1, the Macross 7 Yamato/Arcadia release of the 19, and the renewals of the VF-25s)
But the VF-19 is just really good, too, I'd suggest it over the VF-1 is you want the most articulation while balancing playability.

How fast do the arcadia offerings sell out? This one's coming out in a few days, will it stay in stock for a while or will all of them be gone the release day?

How playabul are they? Sturdy enough to whitstand regular transformation/ posing or are they more of a "pose it once, leave it in the display shelf" type of deal?

It's not coming out in a few days, the rerelease happened like two months ago and it's still in stock.

It's not very "playable". The engineering is bad making the transformation somewhat scary and it's absolutely impossible to transform it without scratching some paint here and there (not that visible but still bothering). It's still the best looking VF-1S mold though but its more of a display piece than a toy.
