Do you guys ever see anything like this at your local dollar stores?
Still too much
>>5963563
every once and awhile but it's rare if it's anything good.
Strangle enough I went to my local TJ Maxx over the weekend and they had a pile of GI Joe retaliation vehicle toys mark down as little a $1.50. I pick up a few of the fangboats for $2 each and the Hiss Tank for $5
>>5963563
what store is this?
>>5963563
No, but I'm not sure those are even worth $3.
Wow, that's a really cool find.
>>5963640
99 cents "only" store.
>>5963563
There used to be this "superstore" called The Warehouse here in Kangarooland. They would sometimes get those McFarlane Spawn figures for like 5.99 clearance after the other stores dumped them.
Sometimes the Reject Shop gets some great deals too, but I havent really walked into a shopping centre in ages.
>>5963577
It's "once in a while," you dolt. That's why people roll their eyes when you speak. I wish people like you weren't a diamond dozen around here.
>>5963568
I demand a redo on that liliana.
Ross gets really cheap stuff like that as well. Not a dollar though. Like five.
I like the second or third brand kinda robot stuff we get though, it's neat.
>>5963563
Honestly, as shit as their attempts are, at least they were trying to break away from their shitty pop vinyls for a bit
Why have these figures ended up on these shelves? Are they that bad?
>>5964170
They're not bad, they just severely lack in paint, making them look really pale.
Apart from that, the armor/clothes hampers their articulation.
They're just okay toys. If you like the characters or designs, they're worth the $10 or less they go for now.
So are they 99 cent or $ 2.99?
>>5964170
I bought the Chandra figure and the plames on her hair and little fireball accessory are gummy feeling and slightly sticky.
>>5963647
It's a crapshoot but sometime these stores got nice stuff for a buck, like the one near me sells bayer, namebrand aspirin and crest pro health, the long tube, for $1. Sure as hell beats Walmart.
>>5964170
They can be broken in package which is why I return my 3.99 clearance target ones.
>>5963563
It's been fun to watch those toys get wide release at tons of stores, get out on clearance, get put on super clearance, get sent to overstock stores, and finally be put on clearance at overstock stores.
Apparently, no one wanted Magic The Gathering action figures
>>5964411
They wanted good figures not shit sold at 19.99.
>>5964411
You live a pretty boring life if watching a product go to clearance registers even the slightest bit of emotion from you.
>>5963677
I got this chicks figure on clearance at Ross for $3. Still have yet to open it but she looked really good for the pocket change I payed for her
>>5964578
did someone shit in your nutella today?
>>5964643
It's unfortunate if what I wrote makes you feel bad.
>>5964653
why are you so abrasive anon? Mom didn't hug you enough?
>>5963563
i remember finding a twilight neca figures at 99 before and i saw these magic figures just the other day, i though of getting one for a custom but i didn't get it. but for awhile they have been getting figures that have been clearanced out from retail. ross/tjmaxx/biglots does too. always worth checking them out.
>>5964655
Your dad refused to kiss me after finishing in my mouth, so I'm taking it out on his autist son.
>>5964672
>I drink cum
at least you admit to it.
>>5964578
nigga what the heck are you doing with your life? sit down man
>>5963563
Lol, tells you how well that Magic stuff that isn't cards + Funko shit does when it comes to action figures.
The Chandra isn't bad but the rest are dogshit.
>>5964732
Ajanni was probably the only one I have never seen on clearance anywhere. heck I only saw him once when they first came out.
>>5963677
do they sell the big guy too? I want to pose them and trigger faggot numales all over again
>>5964180
This is a legitimate question. These are sold for 2.99.
The 99 cents only store started labeling certain items for more than 99 cents several years ago; there was a lawsuit that rose from the stores' misleading title, but I don't know what became of it.
>>5964411
I think its more that the figures are fucking awful.
The proto shots looked okay, and then the production figures looked like dollar store figures. I would've bought a few if they didnt look like ass.
>>5964732
I think the Funkos only did well because Rosewater shilled them endlessly on his blog. Even now I still find overstock of them.
>>5963563
I really liked the girls from this line. They're great random background magic-wielder figure fodder. But what drives me crazy is my local BigLots selling Nick Turtles for $10, or WWE Basic for $20. Assholes.
>>5963563
The shitty character having way more toys on the shelf? Yeah, all the time.
>>5965147
They were a hard pass for most everyone. I used to collect Funko pretty hard and there was zero interest in them. Even the exclusives.
It just wasn't a good licensing choice for them. Most people that play magic don't collect anything else, most people that collect funko aren't the type to play magic.
>>5963563
I'm lucky if I can find something like this.
>>5963563
Didn't Funko use clear plastic on the joints of some figures?
>>5966560
As far as i can tell, it's opaque plastic in most places. Some pegs are painted over and i dont want to scrap the paint to check.
So if they do use claer plastic anywhere, you really have to hamhand their figures to break them. I was forcing the joints around right now to get a better look on my GoT and Magic figures, so you have to use considerable strength to break them.
So if you aren't a hamhands, it shouldn't matter.
I work at a Ross (like a TJ Max) and we've gotten some of those before. Not that cheap, I think they're $5 but we just got these in today for $4. There was an Assassin's Creed figure to for five or six bucks but someone bought it before i could take a picture.
>>5963563
A dollar store near me has like 50 of that stupid shit
>>5963563
I-I kinda wanted that Chandra.
Can't find one anywhere now, though :/
>>5963643
Back in 2014, I scored a couple if these tanks, bunches of the 3 packs, and a few small vehicles from ross. Also a few marvel universe 3 packs, the xforce and deadpool one and classic avengers.
Five below had a bunch of the joe retaliation final wave for $5. How I army built my alley vipers. Some marvel figs show up there as well. Good times, could walk in and buy a handful of joes and marvel movie figs, leaving plenty behind.
Tuesday morning also has stuff from time to time. Have scored some DC figures from there, star wars and other random shit shows up there but with little chances of restock.
