It doesn't quite glow as much as I hoped it would. Wasn't quite sure what to expect.

I really love him. He looks really good and I didn't expect him to be so poseable.

Just got my ultimate ash today. That leg articulation is fantastic but he still doesn't hold his gun too great without fidgeting. Can't wait for hero ash.

Any recommendations on where to expand on horror figures? The retro cloth line seems great for Jasons and a couple of special freddys, though seeing how nice ash is makes me wonder if I should just cave and get the ultimate figures instead

The figure set is just phenomenal. The accessories,articulation to the amazing blood splatter on his forehead. This figure is pretty goat for any Evil Dead fan.

I got tyrael and arthas in that sale and they were both pretty cool. Arthas has way better articulation if that's your bag, though.

I also REALLY like ultimate gipsy danger, but keep in mind that the elbow hinges breaking seems to be a pretty widespread thing. The hinge itself is probably too brittle already, but then the balljoints for the different forearms are incredibly tight so changing them out puts a ton of stress on it.

Hello, can anyone tell me if they already made bootlegs of the neca contra set?

No, I don't want ANOTHER bootleg, I'm already dealing with one from ebay, I'm more familiar with other toys getting bootlegs but not neca so I need some help.

The figures look fine but the box looks like it has scan lines like some ko transformers boxes I've had, by fine general neca quality frm their video game series, passable for a video game look but nothing serious, I just need some warning signs, and before you suggst, no, didn't buy it from a chinese seller but from a local, it was just cheaper than the going rate online.

I kinda wish Scarface came with more weapons, giving his "Ultimate" status and the huge arsenal in the game, but i can see why they'd pick those weapons in particular, they certaily have the most unique looks.
Still, i might end up trying to build more weapons for it myself, would be cool to pair Scarface's maul with a glave for extra gory cutting action.

Honestly it almost seems stylized due to how much more "chunky" it looks compared to how it looks. While yes it should have chubby parts like the legs, it's still meant to look slightly elongated than a regular Godzilla (hence the first two forms even resembling some kind of eel abomination) but NECA's attempt makes it look like a regularly proportioned Goji with some outer sculptural changes made to resemble Shin Goji's fucked up appearance.

Really torn about this. I know NECA is generally the cheaper option and my usual go-to for Godzilla figures, but now I'm seriously considering just throwing down the extra cash for the MonsterArts since it seemed to capture the new design's overall vibes a lot better.

So I took the liberty to photoshop the head 3% smaller since Randy said theyre going to make it about that size smaller.
I also made a comparison with the actual maquette. I know they're slightly different angles, but it was the best I could find.

From what I can gather, all they have to do is make the lower torso a tad bit long, and the arms slightly smaller and it would be near perfect

Pretty much. Really my only problems with the sculpt is the torso needing to be stretched, while the head and arms need to be smaller. If they can manage some of that then that'd be great.

Got Flamethrower Robert Cop today. Never seen Robocop (yet) nor played the game it's from but it looked cool and for £15 I thought "Why not?"

Pros: Great sculptwork, the paintjob is beautiful, the springloaded holster is a cool idea, the flamethrower is neat, the projectiles are a cool idea.

Cons: Articulation is lacking even for a Robocop figure (the hips might as well be a V-crotch), the holster is kinda fiddly, he can barely hold the flamethrower as is and with the projectiles attached it's just too fucking heavy for him to hold, he can't stand up very well in many poses outside of standing straight up, and I wish he came with some alternate hands.

Still, not bad at all for £15. Overall I like him, I just wish he was less of a brick. I know the actual suit was very inarticulate though. That said, once I've actually seen the movie I'll probably buy the Figma as my "definitive" Robocop. I know they couldn't get the license for his face but it looks like a good toy otherwise.

NECA made two, Medieval Ash and S-Mart Ash. I remember almost getting S-Mart Ash back then because it was one of the only decent looking Ash figures and now we have all these new ones based on ED2 and AvED. What a time to be alive.

You know, I really hope so. It's nice that we actually got a recurring cast of characters out of Pablo and Kelly given Evil Dead's usual schtick of killing everyone while leaving Ash as the only survivor.

If I recall, I think NECA has already announced that they're making figures for Season 2 come Series 2 of the figures, but that's obviously hinting towards the new demons/monsters. I know humans don't usually sell, but if NECA could somehow put out a Kelly and Pablo in separate packs with other demonic creatures (similar to what they did with the helmeted Hicks/Hudson) then I'd be all over that.

Alien Dog is probably their best Xenomorph, great articulation.
Predators are also very popular an all have about the same qualities, more recent AvP preds and the soon to be released Ultimate Jungle and City Hunter have better articulation though, if you are going to pick just one i suggest waiting for those since they also will have plenty of accessories.
The Ultimate Terminator figures are badass, i picked the Ultimate T800 Arnold from T2 a few weeks ago and it went straight to my favorite list.
Plenty Freddy and Jason options too if you like horror.

I don't think you can really have essential NECA figures, for example I love the Evil Dead movies but I haven't seen AvED nor do I really want a figure of Ash. He could be the best NECA toy ever and I would still pass

I ordered all three of one of the alien series and they only sent me two of figures but said the order was complete. Had to complain about it but was only offered a refund since they were "sold out". Luckily BBTS still had them in stock.
