Yeah I should elaborate a little bit the individual components are brickish as hell but the proportions are pretty good on them outside of the one that looks like he's wearing giant pants.

I love JRX's overall combined form and just how well all his components are spaced out and accounted for. His combined form's elbows and shoulders actually work, he's solid as a rock plus who doesn't love those jetpack wings?

I'm sure the tolerances are mostly due to those train stick alt modes but he really does feel like one figure in his combined mode.

Honestly I like a combination of them. Defensor's OK either way, but I prefer the CW plus Groove. Be sure to pick up Rook. UW Superion is definitely the better one there. Menasor could go either way, but I definitely like CW Dragstrip better. Personally I like Offroad better than another of the mold Dead End uses. I don't care about the Optimus combiners. Individually Skylynx, Prowl, Hound, and Wheeljack are worth picking up imo. And Victorion if she goes back on deep discount.

If you look at Skullcruncher and Mindwipe especially the positioning of the cockpits, there is a good case they could be retools of Bullhorn and Wilder either intentionally by HasTak or by the Designers.

In my experience I find the takara's are spot on (even though its got a paint chip from being second hand my takara smokescreen has the cleanest deco), hasbro mp prowl was ok though his transformation wasn't as smooth because of excess plastic gumming him up and some crooked tampos (I have ocd, it hurts), I heard a mix bag on blue-bluestreak, no idea on silver-blustreak...

You may also want to give a few Cybertron figures a go (Leader Galvatron, Leader Prime, Voyager Starscream, Vector Prime). They're older figures, so their articulation isn't up to snuff for today's standards...but they're still really good figures. Even some of the Energon figures (Deluxe Starscream, Shockblast, Bulkhead, Landmine) are good; with the bonus of better articulation than the Cybertron figures.

Finally, give Combiner Wars a chance. There are some really good figures in that line, with Superion/UW Computron being some of the best official combiners ever released. Just make sure to get the Perfect Effect hands/feet to go with them.

No they are probably repaints of Mindwipe and Weirdwolf. Remember Hasbro is trying to reuse ALL the molds here and those animal molds have been woefully underused. The Autobot ones are most like reuses of the Blurr or Perceptor mold.
