While we all had our eyes turned to NYCC for more news on new sets, new Destiny sets started trickling into retail unannounced.

Texas anon posted a few pics in the last thread, but from this pic and other pics he posted (as well as some previously dumped info) we can put together that we're getting;

>Two Cabal-themed Sparrow sets; one with a Titan mini and one with a Warlock mini
>Two armory sets, one Titan and one Warlock
>The hive seeder set, with three thrall and a new Warlock

Hopefully there are a couple more we don't know about, because so far, the Warlocks are kind of reigning supreme yet again.

But hey, at least we got a couple more Titans.

I would say so. He found them at Toys R Us, so I'd say keep an eye out there over the next month or two.

None of these were even officially announced, other than the Hive seeder set info leaked maybe a month or so ago. But we had no idea when they would be out.

One of them has a full on winch with thread and a hook, the other 4 have that little fake bundle piece.
One of them has completely free floppy suspension, two of them have high resistance pins and a neat little flat spring suspensions, one of them has free suspension but construction around it limits it's traverse to not be floppy, and the last one doesn't even have suspension, just basic brick w/ pin wheels.
And the ones with guns all have a different mount.

You'd think they would standardize them since their core bits were all very similarly built.

Well, it happened with the first wave too.

They were meant to be summer releases, and didn't even become widely available until late June/Early July at TRUs (and about a month later at Targets).

But the Cabal Interceptor set and the two Sparrow sets were briefly available on Amazon as early as March.

We definitely don't know for sure, but I know that I am going to be keeping an eye out at TRU when I make my rounds and Amazon just in case.

I'm guessing it's a fairly recent one, the UNSC Dual Mode Warthog. No suspension, but it has the winch.
Too bad it's nearly impossible to use if you install the "Upgrade Pack" with the bad ass looking front bumper, which is installed on the box art.

Not them but it has holes because it works based on concussive force and the tubes are meant to be reusable and there are different models. The actual charge is the cardboard insert you can see through the perforations, and there's also an aluminum insert.

Well, if you're lucky and you keep an eye out on eBay and/or Aliexpress, you may find lots of just the minis. With wave 1, that's what happened. Factory workers probably sneaked a few out the back door and listed them. But that's about the only way you'll be able to get them on their own.

That figure is from a $16 set though, so it isn't exactly bank-breaking to begin with, and comes with lots of other cool stuff.

What are people's thoughts on this guy? Is he worth the 30$/€? I know about the titan armory, but I don't know if it'll reach my country. Plus I like this titan's colours more.

I ended up liking the Jumpship a lot. So much so, that I'm hoping we get a new Jumpship every wave. It would be neat to have a big collection of Destiny spess ships.

Also, has anyone else been able to find any of the new Destiny sets yet? I can't believe they're no where else. I haven't even seen one single listing on eBay yet. You'd think even a scalper or two would have found the new stuff by now, so we could at least see where the stuff is making its rounds to so far.

Workin on a diorama. The Krang are place holders for flood. I will focus primarily on building up a scenary and gathering a few dozen floods. The Covenant are the good guys, but with a few other made up aliens and humans too, just not as many humans.

I think most are customs from a guy on deviantart. Good stuff though. There was a bit of Showa stuff featuring the original KR but I dont think too much of that was made. I think the only Heisei stuff is Faiz and a couple of figs from Blade (Blade, Garren) and Hibiki (Hibiki,Ibuki). The latter two series came in a bucket of bricks if I remember correctly.

Question: how in the absolute flying fuck do you strip paint safely from a Halo minifig? I like my spartans without insignias and have tried (unsuccessfully) to remove the paint without damaging the figure. Vinegar, nail polish remover and rubbing alchohol DO NOT FUCKING WORK.

I generally applaud MB for offering kinda violent-looking toys in an industry that is getting increasingly emasculated and toddlerfied. But I'd throw my money at them and promote them for free if they marketed toys of characters who say things like "You turd with teeth! You stay dead!" to little kids.

Though if we're talking Epic Games I'd rather they made an Unreal Tournament line. Imagine Assault senarios playsets, or recreating the scene where Gorge snaps Malcom's spine.

I bought him because I wanted to make him into a Brotherhood of Nod soldier/Black Hand at first. He ended up inspiring a fanfic I can't be arsed to write further than the first part and a synopsis on what'd happen in the rest of the series. The protagonist is Biker Ninja, a ninja wearing biker protective gear who rides a bike and is trained in the ways of both ninjas and biker gangs.

Tl:dr A teen girl genius hires a dime store Snake Eyes (Biker Ninja) to track and capture three depowered semen daemons alive and unspoiled. She also provides him with the odd gadget. Things take a turn for the worse when Biker Ninja discovers that the meanest of his marks has a crimelord with a good public image wrapped around her finger. It only gets worse from there.

I want to build him a bike at some point. Also I'd like to mention, I gave him a Spartan crotch and CoD legs after I took that photo days ago. TNMT/Halo legs look damn short to me. I fact, Spartans look like Johny Bravo to me with their short legs and top heavyness. A mod that allows halo thigh armour fit on CoD thighs would be very appreciated.

Ultraman got some bootlego minis that have floated around for a couple years now. The helmets at least look pretty cool.

Of course for licensed stuff there were also a few Ultraman Mega Bloks sets, Tinibiz by Run'A that were generally fragile pieces of shit, and Kubricks.

Several of the oldest guys still have Brickarms weapons, at the time there weren't nice armory packs with extra guns so some figs had to make do, can't give them anything else now cuz their hands are too loosened. Something cool about a Spartan wielding an energy sword and Kalashnikov...

Nearly every combined unit of mine has more Spartans than Marines, those desert guys are a rare exception. Series 6 came out at a good time, they were still about 3 bucks each, Walmart got in a truckload and there were several useful army builders including that desert Marine. They never really did any desert-camo vehicles though, the EVA's Last Stand Warthog comes close but that's about it.

My personal canon describes this yellow unit as psychological warfare specialists, they wear the highly visible color to take on the appearance of Covenant infantry, they use Covenant weapons with a few UNSC, and their overall mission is to sow confusion behind the lines. Now originally they had to take Covey stuff since I was low on human weapons at the time but I liked the idea, decided to keep even now when I have a surplus of UNSC.

Something that continues to bug me about the Arctic themed figs they've released is a profusion of pilots, when there's yet to be an Arctic aircraft of any kind. A couple of the blind bag series had an Arctic Pilot and Arctic Pelican Pilot respectively, and more recently I think it was Charlie series had that same Arctic Pilot in the newer design. Très bizarre...

Not sure what happened to my post but to answer your question, "soon"! I got on this ride late so it's more important to me to build up as many figs as I can as opposed to the vehicles. I've been trying to focus on sets that give me an assortment of figures, especially the older ones, and I've been buying the bagged ones just to build up the particular designs or colors I like. On my next big paycheck I'm going to buy as many of the terrain sets as I can and then after the holidays I'm going for the older, bigger sets like the scarab.

I just bought a couple Destiny sets. This thing are amazing. The level of detail is incredible.

WoW sets did not sell well
They were overpriced, likely due to high licensing fees and mandates forced by Blizzard
They were odd choices for releases, not releasing main characters
Blizzard notoriously hard to work with, you can see countless lines almost come out and either have only a couple of releases then be cancelled or not even make it out at all

So the high price point and poor set/character choice turned people away from buying the initial sets, they were often found on clearance quickly, Blizzard no doubt bitched and moaned about this and made things even harder, so the license broke down and someone, or both, bailed.

I have mixed feelings over this. On one hand we dodged a bullet with the helmet and shoulder pads. I'm happy to see they didn't use the sparrow set titan's molds for those parts. But on the other hand the gold suit palette is bland and would look better on a black rather than mostly grey body. Plus the red helmet looks like ironman. Honestly, these figures tend to look pretty different from these shiny, CGI-esque mockups to the actual produced figures.

Sometimes the bodies look kind of off compared to the armor on the mockups, but they look better IRL.

Like a melee weapon? Are you familiar with the game? Melee weapons don't really extensively exist in Destiny. There are like, 5 swords in the game, and the new expansion added a giant battle axe, but you can't keep it. Its just kind of a special weapon that appears on maps under certain conditions.

I'm sure they'll eventually add the swords, but they're not really all that predominant in the game.

If you mean close combat guns...well. There's tons of shotguns to go around in the sets themselves.

Basically all melee weapons in Destiny are Swords. The only exceptions are the Aegis (A shield/cannon thing) from Vault of Glass and some orb things from the first section of Kingsfall

Just picked up the last 2 packs of Foxtrot in my local Walgreens. First pack was a drone (snore...) but the second! The second had a red recruit AND an active camo elite ranger! Fuckin' score! The number on that pouch was A25066ES if anyone was curious.

What you have to understand is that it isn't really a set. It's a mix of multiple sets, plus a unique arm part. Mega bloks actually creates the sets as if "shaders" are applied, which unifies the colors of multiple different sets.

OP here, finally found the two new sparrow sets myself.

Picked them both up, along with the new Halo drop pods. I'm not sure why nobody's really talking about the second new Sparrow set. As much as I like Titans, and am kind of tired of Warlocks, I kind of like the other set better. I guess I like the overall colors more, and the set has the Hung Jury scout rifle. Even though I'm not a huge scout rifle user, the mold and paint look awesome on this.

The Colossus is also a really neat mini, if maybe a little undersized. The sets are both pretty nice, but I have to honestly admit that the Sparrow sets have been some of my least favorite builds so far. They're just so small and fragile, but really at that size, there's not a whole lot they can do.

Also of interest, TRU restocked some of the old sets, and they now have the new Mega Construx box/packaging.

Well you can't do shit effect-wise as a Sunsinger and they'd have to make a new couple of pieces for Stormcaller.

Defender will get the bubble from the Halo set redone maybe and that's probably it.

Hunter has it the easiest because of how simple their ults are.

I have a smaller set with a diver like that and I have to say the helmet isn't very well made, it doesn't fit right and will forever look like it isn't pushed down all the way. This seems to be a recurring trait in Enlighten copies of Lego helmets, I've seen it in some of their Medieval guys but it's not as problematic as this one.

I just got a couple of the destiny single pack Guardians. fuckin love em. really disappointed at the lack of Titans though. deffenitly gonna be grabbing the new one with the Sparrow and Cabal trooper when they show up in my area. might have to get one of the CoD space soldiers for a makeshift Taikonaut helmet.

Does anyone have this set? How bigger is Krang's head compared to the asscreed ones? Will it look big if I put it on a normal minifig?

Jang just did a review of the two new Destiny Armor sets. They're also starting to crop up on eBay, so it seems that they're making their rounds now.

They both look great as well. I'm a little sad they can't paint all three weapons in these armory sets, because the painted weapons look ace.
