Sounds like spoilers but it seems that this one comes with all sorts of weapons and other accessories I've yet to see (just finished ep 3). If you mean something else, then that's not too bad. If there's such a drastic change that they'd need to make a second black lion but the rest could stay as is then that should be fine, as it could then form 2 versions with just 1 extra lion to be bought. I am really interested in seeing this things combined form, that's pretty much what will determine if I want to get it or not.

Basically, the Lion doesn't have a weapon for Voltron, at the moment, and yeah, it definitely feels like it's either getting upgraded with a new body/armor, or just straight up getting some new weapon probably based on their original sword.

Looking at the rest, they have Red, Green (this hasn't show up in the show), Yellow's, and Blue.. I'm not sure if he used that as his back mounted weapon or if that's meant to be the Voltron weapon.

Oh, and ALL the lions are missing their small daggers that go on their mouths.

I don't think this is bad at all, all things considered. The retracting tails isn't that bad because it at least integrates it into the sculpt, and though it isn't accurate and a little garish, you can always pretend they're turrets of some sort.

Test run toys are very fragile and usually lose. Most test shot toys you see have glued segments and what not from where they broke.
Transforming toys have it the worse becuase those extra joints and what not are usually easy areas breaks meaning they are breaking it even transforming it once.
It's why Hasbro has started showing transformer test with 2/3 figures to avoid the stress of changing the alt modes. It's still doesn't avoid the toy falling apart

Also there is no one to fire becuase the toy is usally handed to an organizer of the whole event or the like that puts it out there and with how fragile they are they just plop it out.
I know the botcon guys would be brave and set up dioramas but the pile of broken apart bots they showed were actual broken toys they likely caused when playing with the prototype

Well articulated figures of the pilots would be quite cool. Their weapons are fun and they have pretty good personalities and looks. They would probably have their style of TMNT figure for the characters, and I'd be ok with that, maybe with a few extra PoAs. Obviously right now they're thinking only Voltron, but if the toy line is popular it wouldn't be too surprising to see pilots.

More than anything I wonder how the sales are going to be, has a Netflix show ever gotten figures? I think this is the first. If a Netflix show can get a successful toyline then we'll have a happy Netflix/figure future.

Dragons is an established series, so that doesn't really count, as it's just more toys essentially. But Dinotrux is a good testament to Netflix's power, as it seems to sell quite well just as a Netflix property. One shouldn't underestimate the power and reach of Netflix to children.
