The body she mostly reuses isn't the best, but it's alright for what it is. It does have some really nice new sculpting, though. She looks fantastic. The biggest issue is honestly that it's based on her post-Avengers Arena look, so even if you choose to not use the dumb witch arm, she's still got the stupid short Staff of One. But the figure itself is fine as far as female Legends go.

I found a Strange-wave Iron Fist today (thankfully), and as I was unpacking it, something caught my eye about the Dormammu piece.
The die was clearly cast off of an unfinished 3D print, or the die was milled out and not well-polished. The horizontal lines are very telling of a 3D print, and we've seen this in the promotional photos that Hasbro are using for their teasers and packaging shots. And on closer inspection, Nico Minoru's skirt has the same horizontal lines.

Is this indicative of a rush to get product to market, or lax QC? I know that Dormammu existed as a part of an exclusive box set before being packed as a BAF, so the previous molds should show the same banding. Are we potentially going to see more of this kind of thing as more and more waves are being produced faster?

I have a question for you all, it's been bothering me lately.

Do you all throw away the boxes or save them somehow for your legends figures? I've amassed quite a collection since I've started and keep my figures in their boxes for the most part due to not having a proper place to display them yet but I'm really debating throwing away the boxes to make space and putting them in special baggies that don't mess up the paint on figures. I feel they'd be easier to access for photos and they could all probably fit in a large container. I can't quite do it though but maybe you can all convince me?

Legends are one of the easiest toylines to trash the packaging for. The boxes are really nice and the line doesn't really get enough credit for it, but there's pretty much no value to saving them beyond display purposes. Case distribution and character popularity determines price for a figure, and there's virtually no difference between "used with package" and "used loose". Hell, I'd almost rather buy something loose if it cut a few bucks off shipping.

I've been keeping my boxes as I have no idea when I'll be moving to a new place, but I put them in a bigger box in a closet to keep them out of the way. Yes; verified by putting the hands back into the old Iron Fist body. There is nothing stopping a shorter peg from working in a longer hole, and there is no shaving down of the circumference of the peg to worry about in any case.

Am I the only one who really doesn't like the spidey body on IF? Something about this release of the body just exacerbate it's overly long torso. Plus it's a bit too skinny an IF for my liking. Even with it's slightly annoying hips I preferred the mold they for the Allfather wave IF. Shame too cause i really liked the new hands and i'd been wanting a good new green Iron Fist.

The torso is definitely a thing, but after messing around with it for a while, I think it's the shoulders. They're just too narrow, if you bend them a little so that his arms go straight down to his sides, they get a bit broader and it bulks his chest up.

It's a new one. Same size as Bucky cap but a little more lean. And more articulation too. Spider UK is also Bucky size, but bulkier. Essentially since that's the most common size they made new molds to fit more characters around that size.

It's really random, to be honest. Some will be good and some will be bad, so it's luck of the draw. I do wish they could be more consistent but that's how it is. I did thin all the basecoat paints, the flesh tone and the black basecoat and painted it over several tedious thin layer. The blue paint is not thinned because I was trying to drybrush it. If the paint is too thin it'll fill the crevices and it would be just regular painting rather than drybrushing. That's sadly kind of the limitation of paint brush, but I'm not spending $250+ on an airbrush to paint $20 toys

Meh, looks whack to me, but your sculpting on the teeth seems on point. Why not grab a black base body, or swap some nu marvel legends black legs on to a red torso and sculpt it yourself? The pain rub on the joints is gonna be shitier than it is now and there's not much you cna do with it. Witha black leg piece you can at least drybrush the blue on and have no paint rub.

Body also looks like it need bulking up.

Anyone know if Black Series Kylo Ren's hand pegs would work for Black Panther?

I'm thinking of using BP as a base for my upcoming custom but I need black gripping hands and Kylo's is one of the only ones that Hasbro has seemingly produced that looks remotely decent while being molded in black.

Has anyone tried it?
