Glad I didn't know all these reveals were happening, otherwise I'd be disappointed.

I'm going to get the updated Shuffler (don't mind his robot mode not being the beast), Brawn, and Maybe Skyshadow (not sure, looks like too much of deviation to the original, do the two seperate head masters he comes with have different faces?).

Not getting him but really impressed with Broadside, carrier looks great, and the little jets are simply fantastic. Some of the updates of the more obscure nonheadmaster guys are really tempting, perhaps I'll get them if I see them IRl.

It probably depends on the character. If the triple changer has altmodes that aren't too much of a stretch to share parts with one another (unlike, say, Astrotrain or Broadside, whose modes are as far apart from the other as could be), some 3P might do it. But most triple changers have wildly varying alt modes.

There's a few angles.

Some people just don't like it. But reasonable people like >>5953881 are probably not the ones you hear 99% of the time.
For the older crowd, some of it is just people who grew up with G1 and didn't like that BW was different. The classic "Trukk not Monky" crowd. Most of these people have cooled over time.
Another group is a reactionary one. A few years ago, people really started to say that BW was the best-written TF show ever. In that era of badly-dubbed TF anime, it wasn't a high bar.As this became a more popular opinion, naturally, a counter-movement occurred (there are similar situations with Animated and Prime). Some was just pushback and others just trolls.
Lastly, sometimes you just have shitposters.

I remember really losing interest in the show when transmetals became a thing just because of how dumb and weird they started looking.

I have it and really like it. The arms are nice and the shoulder give you a great range of articulation. Plus all the add on pieces actually look like weapons so it has that on the other sets.

The foot cover for Mixmaster is kind of shitty though. Like, not the quality of the rest of the set; it's weird.

I wish Big Convoy would get a remake of some sort. Fuck, they could do him as a TR Leader figure and make his base mode a big tribal fur-and-bones hut type thing. Ideally I'd like to see him done in a semi-Transmetal 2 style, with a mix of organic flesh, bone and fur with mechanical detailing. They sorta did that style for Alpha Trion so there's precedent.

I dunno. The concept of a colossal armoured warrior Prime who turns into a woolly motherfucking mammoth is just awesome, but the original toy (AFAIK, don't own it myself) suffers from being a major shellformer and the actual body being pretty skinny.
