It ticks some of the boxes of good design, and goofs on others. I don't like his proportions and shape design. But I like his strong colour pattern and his teeth and claws. To me Pokemon should have that dangerous feral attitude, that's why it would be great if he was quadropedal. Id like to believe that too, as a last ditch hope at this stage. But it doesn't really add up, banking on new characters or a game no one is familiar with. Whereas the older characters have so much more pulling power. This to me is the ideal pokemon like. These ones and the smaller ones are quite good. The larger could lose the gimmicks for articulation. Fairly well scaled and articulated pokemon figures at an affordable price is quite ideal. I mention price because I'd rather a deep line with tons of Pokemon like the pinsirs and hitmonlees and other lesser made ones, as opposed to a fairly high end line that ends after the gen 1 starters. I really do hope this line continues for a long time, I think Tomy is doing an excellent job, though could continue to do a bit better with number of releases and articulation (which they did well with greninja) especially for the larger pokemon.

Sun and Moon plushies are out. Got Litten and the new Squirtle. $14.99 at GameStop. If the employees are holding them in the back for some dumb reason, show them that GameStop retweeted that they're out now.

By the way, they're not Tomy, they're the Pokémon Center plushies. Really good quality.

Yeah, canon-wise venusaur is a bit on the small size compared to the other starters. But he's the nicest figure you can get of him. Greninja is fantastic, he feels really solid and his articulation is smooth. Overall been really impressed with him. I'd recommend you get them!

Mewtwo is the only one that I don't actually have. I've heard good things about it though! I've preordered the RAH, but I prefer the look of the d-arts one. You can pick up a nice Tomy Mew which is the same size as the d-arts one. The d-arts mew is not great. Has lots of seamlines etc.

The D-Arts Mew is actually a fair bit smaller than the Tomy figures. Closer to 1.5". More or less close enough, though I do appreciate the ideal size of the D-Arts one relatively.

I'd honestly like both from Bandai. Both could come with different effect parts for Cut and Water Shuriken, or even an effect piece for Aerial Ace. Plus, other parts, like a bit of tongue articulation or other such things.

Classic is a good starting point, but truthfully, I confess to also wanting other Ashs. For example, lets say we did get a hypothetical SHF Ash Greninja. Then an XY Ash would be better to go with it.

Got one of these in Big W (Australian store), the bracelet with three crystals and a Pikachu figure. FYI for everyone, the crystals don't actually have a logo on them, it's just a blank coloured plastic diamond. The bracelet flashes different coloured lights and vibrates a bit when you press the button. It also has a black elastic wrist strap in the middle. You can have one crystal on the top, and a further six carried, three on each side.

Unfortunate. I don't personally like those figures as I don't feel they're worth it for the price for what you're getting, but still odd. M-Ray and Zygarde were a couple I was keeping an eye out for. Got a US one today. The Crystals DO have a logo on them like in that image, but only when the lights are flashing in Roleplay Mode or presumably when using a matching Z-Crystal in 3DS Mode. Like you can kinda see on the pictured Z-Ring itself, they're plain otherwise.
