I own over 70 figmas and have several favorites between them, that's why I have to resort to objective facts to choose a single one. And that one is Saber 2.0. without a doubt, as far as articulation and sculpt goes she's a step over every other figma I've handled.

But if we're talking about how fun it is and nothing else, I guess my choice would be Kaiji even if he's not as good a figure as Saber.

For me the best would be figma Sakura(op version).

She has loads of accesories(2 Wands, 2 Cards, 2 Wings, Kero) and she uses 2.0 figma articulation(pull-out shoulders for 2 handed wand poses) and her skirt doesn't limit her poseability(I'm happy they made her post figma 200 else she'll not have the articulation she has today). Max Factory really out did themselves that they were able to make Sakura sit on her wand for flying poses without resorting to shift body part swap. You can really tell that they put alot of effort when they made her.

Only downside I didn't like was she didn't have a neutral looking straight face, I hate figma's who doesn't have one(figma Kuroko, Kiritsugu, Index forever looking at a side ಠ╭╮ಠ ) but thankfully, Max Factory released her in a School Uniform outfit and that one has a neutral looking straight expression.

Saber gets a nominate too since she blows out the old one out by alot in terms of sculpt and articulation.

All figma butts must be segmented, and Hibiki is the only one that shows the whole shape of her ass given her design, so yeah, still the best looking articulated ass. Angela's not even that impressive, a ton of figmas before her had asses like that.

You don't have one. You've never owned one, and have never played with one. They're amazingly fucking articulated, which is impressive because Max Factory did a good job hiding the joints.

The ONLY one with subpar articulation--at least compared to Guyver 1 and Guyver 3--is Guyver 2, because his breastplate is so big you can't cross his arms in front of his chest far enough to do the pressure cannon pose.

But it actually does in this case, because the joints were the most fragile part of the figures. It doesn't matter how awesomely articulated they are if those same joints snap easily and are unusable.

It's possible than an old Max Factory Guyver in perfect shape is more poseable than the figmas (I don't really know), but you can be sure that a figma is going to be more poseable than a Max Factory Guyver with fucked up joints and falling limbs, something that it's bound to happen if you try to actually make use of their articulation every now and then.

Everybody says this, but I honestly wonder the amount of people who actually own them and have experienced this vs. hearing someone's hamhanded experience and parroting it ad nauseum. Given the aftermarket cost of the figures, I'm inclined to believe it's the latter.

In my own personal experience, the joints were fine. If you treated them delicately, you shouldn't have any issues. You can put them into battle poses, move the limbs, etc. without having to worry about joints "disintegrating" in your hands. Try not having fingers that are sausage-sized, I guess.

Also, not my picture but just look at this, how could anyone want the Figma with such a cheap-looking mega smasher? It's his iconic attack, and it's just...silver? Come on.

How tight are Figma Joints supposed to be? I got my first one and it seems kinda awkward smooth loose but not so loose it can't hold a pose. One wrist for a hand is also a floppy mess.

compared to guyver III, he looks a bit small iirc, also the height boost sho gets while he's on the guyver armor is not that big, if this pic is to believe (i tried to find a size comparison pic, but it seems that my google fu skills are simply shit). the big proportions many people remember is from the ovas and anime, where he's quite bulky, and with the pass of the years, the mangaka made him a bit slender.
maybe they made him small so the upcoming guyver III will tower him, but then we have IIF, i'm not sure how tall she is in the manga, and also we have the fact that the figma line is really all over the place in scale and sizes, we have something decently sized as samus, and then we have manlets like tekkaman blade and evil, who are meant to be really really big

Ryuko you're probably not going to find for anything resembling cheap anymore unless you luck out. She's firmly in the $90+ territory even if you find a "deal" right about now.

Satsuki I wouldn't pay over $50-60 for. She's not a bad figure, but so much shit gets in the way for her. Shoulderpads and hair basically kill her head articulation and really limit her ams unless you remove some of it (and it's all removeable) or do somewhat awkward looking poses to get it all out of the way enough.

Her fantastic painting (which I hope is replicated with similar grit for Dadserker) definitely helps her joints hide even better than Gilgamesh's!

She also isn't limited by back-panels and capes, though, it remains to be seen how much articulation Gil's have.

Shielder stage 3 could probably just barely topple both as far as a figma that has well-hidden joints and whose articulation isn't hampered terribly. That's a long way away.

Since people are still going on about this, I'm compelled to say this makes me sad.

The first thing I locked on to was how nicely the photo quality, natural lighting and comparison with the gun's texture really showed what a great transition she made from 2D to 3D.

I was so close to grabbing her, but I'm still slightly bothered by the fact that her front doesn't have a white under-layer. There are so many awesome shots where Saber's dress "blossoms" and I weep that I can't replicate it with this.

That said, it's clear how they compromised for the sake of articulation and it's done quite well. That and the fact that we get to see her "fencing pants" gives her a distinct and more action-like look.

Well, as well as seeing the anime (Not seen in the anime, it's the creator's own alternate design, only seen in artwork), and the artbook it comes with, it's a really cool design. Her boots are a bit limited, especially with the saws fully out, but she can hold some nice poses regardless. She was well worth the money, for me at least.
