Made me laugh.

I feel the same towards Tsum Tsums as the Funko Pop line. It's a line that mostly looks like ass, but there are some cute ones that suit the simplistic style. Often times the characters that are actual animals instead of being anthropomorphic work well.

Lady from Lady and the Tramp here looks like an adorable, chunky dog.
Mickey looks like a disgusting caterpillar mouse and don't even get me started on how fucked up the actual human characters look. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite film and Belle looks like some kind of horrible science experiment gone wrong.

I collected the smalll Zuru/Jakks ones while I worked in a toy store, they come out with them too fast for me to bother with right now though

I used to like them a lot but there's just too many for me to bother with anymore. Plus a lot of the human characters just look... creepy. I sold all mine but 5 that I genuinely liked.

I agree that they're like Pops, only a select few fit the style well, but they are cute and much more appealing than Pops to me. None of the human characters look good but it is interesting to see how they deal with the designs of some of the others. The only one I won right now is Shere Khan because he is an adorable little tiger bean. I want some of the Lion King cats though.

Whenever there's a revision at work, we get a new Tsum Tsum display, but seeing as we don't need a new one, it usually gets thrown away. I was able to snag myself one before it got tossed to keep our Tsum Tsums in.

Is it blasphemous to cut off the super long tags so they only have the short one that says Tsum on it? It's just...They're like the same length as the minis sticking out and it bothers me. Even if I fold it under the Tsum it's so long and obnoxious. I don't care about resale value and I want to stack the little buggers without fiddling with a bunch of tags but I can't help feeling like I'm destroying the things.

I'm currently missing Hiro, Honey Lemon, Winter Soldier, and the first Spider-Man set. Also getting a shelving unit like hers to display them properly

Fiancé and I have a pretty sizeable collection, around 120 or so. We used to work at Disneyland so we got them pretty cheap. We only pick up a few every so often now when it's a set we really enjoy, just recently picked up the second Ultimate Spider-Man set which are chilling on my desk.

I like a few of the animal ones, and prefer the tiny ones so I don't feel bad about spending money on them. I have a few Stitch ones, stopped by the Disney store the other day to see if they had any and was disappointed but my bf got himself the biggest Sully tsum for $8 so it was a good trip. Small ones are cute, big ones make cute pillows. I like them overall.

Has anyone made a sewing pattern for tsums yet? I've got a friend who is into them and a custom tsum tsum would be a neat gift. They'd be would be easy to reverse engineer, but I want to make sure I get the measurements right and I don't have any of my own.

If you don't mind paying for it, teacuplion on etsy has a "stacking loaf" plush pattern for sale. It's pretty cute, though I don't think it's exact to the official tsum pattern. They sell a lot of cute patterns, but I know some people don't feel like a PDF file is worth the prices charged.

Alternatively one tsum tsum is really not that expensive, so reverse engineering is a perfectly viable option, like >>5989661 said (I don't think it's even necessary to get a bootleg, like I said just one is hardly pricey.)
