A fair amount of takara MPs are like that actually, not just MP10.

My only real complaint from a design perspective, excluding the hollow legs, is that the tail is kinda awkward in robot mode. That said combining it with the gun and flipping up the peg gives him a kinda cool looking heavy weapon.

Neat panel lining. I just wish he could use the tail as a sword like in G1. Seems like it'd be easy if the pegs were just slightly moved. I mostly do what you have pictured, but sometimes I make the tail into a shield.

>>5937445
Yeah there really isn't anything good to do with it.

It's one of those things where you just kind of put it off to the side while playing with him in robot mode
>>
>>5937446
Super glue won't ruin it, I've had my Springer, Blitzwing glued since day 1 and there's no issues.
>>

Wasn't Hero Factory in its Brain Attack and Invasion from Below years during that time? Those weren't exactly the high points of the line.

>>5937466
I seem to recall some anon found a way to make his tail into a big spiky club using the gun barrel as a handle, but when I tried it the barrel was far too small.

It kinda works as a bludgeoning weapon when it's on his hand, but only kinda. I'd kinda like to see someone make a Shapeways upgrade that allows it to be held like a riot shield. Maybe when I'm better at 3D modelling.

>>
>>5937489

I do.
>>
>>5937489
If there was a handle on the outside I would, but as is the "shield" would be concave facing away from him.

I did trim the area behind the handle on Mindwipe's weapon so that he could hold it like a shield though. Plus it can go up his back in bat mode instead hanging down like a weird tail.
>>
>>5937489
I've tried but I can't find a way to make the "top" of the tail face outwards. It just looks silly the other way.

Better tabs so the wings don't flop down in robot mode. Added die-cast in legs for better weight and stability, also the tab above the butt which tabs into the cockpit is long enough to hold the torso down so it doesn't pop out every time you pick him up. Also pic related is my BB7 Skywarp I got for $95 shipped from california new.

It doesn't come with decals applied, but it has rub-on transfers so you can choose what direction the logos go onto the figure as per your preference which is neat. They are also very high quality transfers.

>>
>>5937612
The only thing moderately wrong with it is Blast Off's brown is off, which I expect to be corrected if Hasbro ever does a single card version. Any other issues are minor with everything else being superior. Color feet is a lateral move that I don't mind either way.
>>
>>5937607

>>
>>5937621

Yeah, the Thrilling 30/CW/whatever Legends Seekers. They're nice enough, but their knees are unfortunately pins and not ball joints, and they have no head movement.

They also have somewhat weird feet, but Seekers usually do.

Pretty much. But Strafe has absolutely none of those issues. It's weird.

What are the shittiest plastics being used right now?

I have red plastic and gray plastic on top of my list. Absolute fucking garbage. Stresses at the lightest touch and generally before you even open up the package.

Never had a problem with clear plastic personally. Black plastic seems the most solid in my experience.

Anyone else having problems with Weirdwolf's cockpit hinges cracking? I just opened up mine a few hours ago and it's now extremely scary to use the hinges because one has already broken
>>
>>5938365
Hasbro or Takara? An anon the other day had a broken hinge.
>>
>>5938365
You're the third guy I've seen in this thread to post about that, so I guess so. Fucking Vietnam.
>>
>>5938368
Hasbro
>>5938369
Yeah, I saw someone else had the same issue and was hoping to god that it wouldn't happen to me. Now his wolf mode is borderline unusable
>>
>>5937975
Some of us are retards/poorfags who didn't buy the mold the first 8 times

If they've got a 1986 movie theme going, they can't not put a Unicron in the line
>>
>>5938371
FUCC
>>
>>5938368
It's reasonable nowadays to assume the same problem will be present on both Hasbro and Takara releases, unless they're actually using different plastic.
>>
>>5938371
So you knew it could've happened? What actually caused it? Did the plastic look stressed before?
>>
>>5938372
I wouldn't buy him personally. Bought that Anniversary one and I regret it a lot. I just don't want to sell him just because he's Unicron.

>>5938374
Well I just curious because the Takara just came out and I have not seen any reviews of that version yet.

>>5938376
The plastic hinge for the back is really small and it can get cracked when it gets pinned while in production.
>>
>>5938376
I was aware that it was a possibility but my copy's left hinge is cracked in two places, making it very difficult to use, while the right one seems to have a crack but I can't tell for sure

I'll be fucked if I'm paying that much for him. This is why we need a Legends Unicron, or another planetformer unicron mold that people can actually afford.
>>
>>5938384
Paid $150 CAD on mine and it came with an almost complete Primus. I actually just wanted the Primus but when I saw that in Kijiji I just had buy it off the guy.
>>
>>5938369
They only took them away from China because of the leaked report on the Chinese factory workers, where a number of their issues were caused by themselves.

Don't make a mess then

>>
>>5938386
Well shit, I like my toys but I wouldn't want them to end up killing people in the production process.

Why did they pull out of Vietnam? CW didn't have quite this many issues.
>>
>>5938388
I thought they were still in Vietnam. They must have found a cheaper factory, or be testing the waters for how far they can cut production costs before people stop buying the toys.
>>
>>5938392
According to this thread they're moving production to India. But yeah I imagine it's for lower production costs.
>>
>>5938395
That's just shitposting. They're still in Agent Orange land

Also no amount of glue seems to fix this hinge issue. We're fucked
>>
>>5938401
I remember the other anon said only the yellow bits broke but the red clear plastic part was still in tact. What about yours?
>>
>>5938403
Only the hinges for the cockpit. Everything else is virtually untouched.

Also, seems like I was wrong

http://news.hisstank.com/2016/01/26/hasbro-toys-manufactured-india-57894
They are actually going to relocate entirely to shitting street land
>>
>>5938388
They went China->Vietnam because of labor costs. All the QC issues you've seen in CW and TR is due to them not having the expertise China has built up over all these years. That's also the reason why they won't be moving over to India soon because it would be resetting their production lines once again.

Hasbro is currently testing out less complex MLP lines in India. They've done this testing for Vietnam previously, TFP Cyberverse toys were made in Vietnam.
>>
>>5938409
That explains why some of the Terrorcons were so shit (Twinstrike with the pun that you have to street to transform the leg armor until it comes off and the C-clip on Rippersnapper that doesn't hold his robot head in at all), and why my Blight has two right legs.
>>
>>5938409
I honestly thought CW was pretty good. The biggest issues were only in a few specific molds. Most of the toys held up really well considering how much work they have to do in combined mode.

Vote Trump. He promised to stop companies from outsourcing by making them pay out of their asses to bring the products back in.

Actually I doubt that'd even work. It feels like Hasbro is already happy selling 90% of their stock in Asia. Chinaman money is probably as good to them as whiteman money.
>>
>>5938417
You do realize what Trump proposes will inevitably crash the economy right?
>>
>>5938417
CW is pretty good with a few relatively minor exceptions. Specifically the helicopter's combiner port being too small, some of the Slingshot molds not closing the jet front properly, Brawl's waist, Prime and the first run of Motormaster ratchets and a bit of looseness here and there, plus of course the G2 Superion Silverbolt fist. But other than that CW qc was pretty good.
>>
>>5938423
Shh...you're ruining the surprise. He's too young to remember how popular Dubya was.

>biggest issues were only in a few specific molds
The problem with those type of issues is that they originate from the making of the steel molds. Unlike those assembly line issues (2 left hands, missing paint app, etc), you can't simply exchange for a fixed figure since the problems are line-wide until Hasbro gives up the $$$ to rework the mold.

I'm actually wondering what will happen when TF shifts to India completely. They have much better standards of machining so I'm expecting more assembly line issues. Maybe we'll get TF toys with perfect tolerances but with the smell of poop and curry, idk.
