While the Hasbro Computron hands and feet are good, they're still not better than the Perfect Effect ones. Plus, I like how the PE ones can become weapons for the bots when they're in their individual bot and vehicle modes.

Granted, I do think MegaEmpress's feet look good. I'm still not a fan of the hands, though. I'll probably just use the 1st run skinny black PE hands since I have an extra set.

The first run feet (the ones that are more rounded and that came with the skinny skeletal hands) definitely wobble. However, I have some of the 2nd run hands/feet along with 2 sets of KO 2nd run hands/feet and they don't wobble at all. The 2nd run hands/feet (KO or "official") really improve the stability of the CW/UW figures by A LOT.

The reasons are probably commercial. Female transformers probably don't sell well in the retail environment that Hasbro works with. If they did they could have easily used the Chromia/ PrimeArcee mold and just do all the female autobots as bikeformers ala Botcon, but with different heads.

She's easily my favorite Combiner in the line. She is the most "complete" and put together looking combiner yet. Just wish Takaras Megatronia combiner had a legends partner like Victorion. The chest armor gives a nicer shape that really sells the figure as being female - especially when put next to mold mates with no armor like Bruticus and Defensor (UW).

I just realized that for the first time in over 2 years people actually gave a fuck about Transformers because everywhere the LG/TR line are mostly sold out while for the past 2 years UW/CW had a hard time selling shit. Now most of the releases per quarter is sold out.

TR sold pretty well in my area, on the revision wave 6 caused trouble, and that's because they decided to release the same figures from wave 5, and no one wanted them. Oh and Skywarp, no one fucking wants him and he's fucking everywhere.

Combiner wars may get lot of flack for using the same basic transformation schemes across the board for the deluxe class. But going back and messing with all the combiners on my desk, I'm really satisfied they did it that way. by keeping them simple they made it so there was a lot of versatility in how you can arrange the limbs. Really helps them looks individual despite being the exact same mold in some cases.

Yeah but the problem is both BoA and BoJ make bricks. BoA usually what actual collectors avoid more because they skip out on paint and they redo the molds to about 30% smaller to make it cheaper. While BoJ is much better on a shelf if you just want more gimmicks, paint,size, and generally just being out in the market at least 2 years before the BoA version, but at the cost of it being double to triple the BoA's price. Either way they're both bricks and Sentai/PR fans usually don't bother bitching about it since they know it's a toyline marketed to kids for the most part. Japan aims it at the richer kids to regular adults more cause their versions usually cost an arm and a leg.

He has pretty good articulation considering his design. His legs are similar to tfa/prime bulkhead in that everything is there but their stubby. His arms are great but no wrist swivel. The head can turn from side to side and the mouth can open. I think he has a waist swivel too but he's put away and I don't feel like digging him out to remember.

Speaking of RID...

Found Windblade at Walmart today.

The mold does a lot of things right, but the arms have a lot of problems. The bicep swivels are tight as fuck, and came out of the package with stress marks already. So if you want the toy to stay in tact, she basically won't have bicep swivels. There's also the issue of her having no wrist swivels like the Gen mold.

But what do you know... Gen Windblade's arms fit perfectly on her. The ball joints seem to be just the right amount of tightness.

Transformation isn't affected either since the RID mold just has the arms hang on the sides.

The red colors don't really match, but that's not an issue to me since the legs are already a different shade of red, so you just go from two shades of reds to three. Not to mention the Gen arms have more paint apps. However, the arms will be a bit more obvious in jet mold since now the colors don't blend in.

Unfortunately the RID arms will not fit on Gen Windblade. These arms have deeper sockets for the ball joints.

Incidentally, the fan crown from Gen Windblade can also be worn by RID Windblade, but it doesn't fit quite as well.

They are. But I've never been bothered by gorilla arms like the ones on Hardhead. The two points of extra articulation also make it very worthwhile.

I forgot to mention I'm also not a fan of RID Windblade's hands. They remind me a little bit of Gen Arcee's hands. The sword she comes with is a really tight fit and I'm worried about the thumb breaking off. Generation Windblade's hands feel much more solid.

For me at least, it isn't the transformations, but rather the lack of retooling between releases. Deadend to Streetwise was fine, but Alpha Bravo to Blades was lazy. Hell, none of the Brakedown or Offroad molds had different weapons. I got so fucking sick of those axes.

Blast-Off is by far the worst example since he's not only a jet, but a straight recolor of another mold. They do a fuckton of retooling to get from Rook to Swindle,then do jack shit for Blast-Off. Even fucking Trailbreaker got a new head, arms, and HFG.

It was the shock of going from the heavy retools of Wave 3 to the headswaps of wave 4 to the recolors of wave 5 that killed the combiner hype.

I believe I figured out WHAT purpose the bellybutton hole blaster has, its simply to quickly retrofit a new crotch guard to soundwave rather than remold the whole section.

It wouldn't surprise me if its glued in there although from pic related it looks kinda sealed in, its the fact it looks like the front is still a separate section to the main bulge of the crotch.

The option for retooling is nice but it leaves a hole in the figure, one that could only be thought of as a homage to the rubsign

Just needs some wing extensions to help hide the cab, I'd buy it if it used the actionmaster deco, I'll wait for Octane.

I'm really hoping my theory (based on the stage pics) the shoulder pylons can be folded down, the body shape generally follows (well, loosely, generations afterall) g1 octane but I don't want the shoulder pylons the old deluxe had, but that's just a preference and wouldn't ruin it for me

It looks like the wings are on a double hinge since in this picture they're positioned farther back which hides the top of the cab halves better. I still think the wings should be bigger, but I think this looks better.

Makes me wonder how long some of these toys have been in development, I heard leader megatron from cw was meant to be in the generations line up, wouldn't surprise me if sentinel train was supposed to be as well, and seeing how they retooled the leader magnus mold to have a titan master port its a possibility.

Admittedly sentinel train has few logical places to place TM ports, you put them on top of the shuttle and the pegs may get sandwiched as he goes back into train mode, would be silly to put ports infront of the guns as well now that I think about it.

Though the octane/OP voyager mold ports just seem like a strange place as well

Can't use the front of the plane since that gets folded up in between the legs, would be silly in the middle of the tanker, the rear section is left untouched in all modes apart from the wings.

Its a flat panel too akin to skullmashers so you can hide it better yourself if you desired

If hastak had added a little more cockpit detail and a hatch, it would have been a perfect place to put the headmaster.

As for the truck mode, I guess the actual hatch would work well if the hatch wasn't piss

That's the lamest thing about it, the Titanmaster can't even sit where you want it in either mode, and it's a diaclone homage as well and they could where they're meant to on the original figures.
