I was sanding down part of a transformer to customize it, but I wasn't keeping a good eye on my angle and accidently sanded part of a surface I didn't want to. Is there any way to restore the finish, like a weak solvent?

if you ask me you can redo the finish. go over what you've done with a finer sandpaper, and then spray with a semi gloss. you could probably mix glosscote with dullcote if you want to get it perfect

Also, lightly touch a flame/lighter over it. Like rapidly touching the flame against it can clear away and smooth over the little burrs and white marks. I do it all the time now ever since I learned about it, very helpful.

Then again in a place where people get butt mad when you buy high end products, having low standards must be common. Check RobotKingdom you might still find legit ones for retail. Don't buy the KO even if people say the quality is "almost" the same--almost doesn't mean same. People probably bloated their opinions because they regret spending $10 on KOs instead of paying a bit of an extra to be sure they get the best quality.

Not the anon you're replying to, but I literally just received a couple of the KO hands/feet today. Haven't gotten home to check them out, but I heard they were of the same quality as the official ones (which I also own).

I bought 2 sets of the black hands and feet. One set for my G2 Bruticus, and another set for the CW Liokaiser that's on its way.

I'll post a few pics if you want when I get home this evening.

Of Wave 1, Hardhead and Skullcruncher are the best on the Hasbro side in terms of deco, but Skullcruncher's legs will probably need some Futureshine.

Blurr and Scourge are also good, but their color schemes are all fucked on the Hasbro side.

I think he was a cybertronian tank in RoTF but other than that I have no fucking clue. Part of what I dislike about Bayformers is how little design elements from their alt modes are used in their vehicle modes.

Cybertronian alt modes have always been somewhat of a free pass to do whatever the fuck you want so I can sort of excuse Megatron, but AoE Optimus is the worst at this. Literally no part of this is a semi truck, it just looks like a red and blue robot that doesn't transform into anything.

I kitbashed parts from Scoop onto him, but the hips were a different width compared to Sideways, so the thigh placement had to be at a funky angle. And it feels really unstable when I transform it due to it just being hotglued.

I suppose sculpting/adding styrene on the thighs and using better stuff for bonding the parts.

AoE went to a much different look. This seems to be going back to the first movie's whole look. Even the third movie had some weird race car mods. The only thing that really remains from aoE is the mask.

Speaking of it being 10 years; from a cultural standpoint its interesting funny to look at this franchise and see the changes in movies and automobile design that have happened since then. I take it you are not familiar with Brave. Victory is basically Proto-Brave, some say the whole Proto-Brave design influence could go as far back as Headmasters. Also, Optimus is basically a truck themed gundam in a red sweater. His head is much more gundam than SS.

Him being expensive, not having good ankle tilts on an MP, and not actually caring about him are valid complaints tho.

Summary of Legends Rewind and a fuckload of Nightbeats:

Rewind introduces himself to an unseen figure, explaining that he's recently upgraded into a new body and seeks to record all the knowledge in the world, his most recent obsession being the mysteries surrounding the Masterforce system. He begins to tell a story...

It begins with Rewind providing the Autobot Axalon Trading Company with blueprints for Master-Braces that anyone can use to become a Headmaster, unlike the original braces which could only be used by certain chosen children. It's not long before all Axalon employees are wearing mass-produced braces, with Rattrap excitedly showing off his Headmaster form to Hardhead and Chromedome and displaying its power by tossing Hardhead across the room. Wanting to try out transtectors, the Headmasters proceed to swarm over Blurr, removing his head from his body and stealing it.

The Headmasters then make their way to Decepticon Tera-Kura Co., mobbing the company leadership and demanding they build them transtectors.

At a soccer match, Wheelie is causing mischief by flipping the skirts of the cheerleaders, earning the scorn of Shūta Gō who wants him to watch him play. Wheelie retorts that soccer is boring compared to the excitement of a real fight, but their argument is cut short when an explosion heralds the appearance of the Galvatron transtector, moving on its own even as Megatron's head mode lies helpless at its feet! Galvatron tells Megatron that he no longer needs a head, and all Megatron is now good for is being a soccer ball.

With soccer and fighting suddenly having become one, Shūta transforms into his Goshooter Headmaster form and races into battle with Wheelie, who brags that as a survivalist he can make it through any crisis. I have an honest question for all of you.

Why is a voyager with minimal hollow sections and a dedicated mold inferior to a deluxe that was remolded from another toy with hollow sections and the only real saving grace is the new one matches the new crew?

I'm serious, I was tempted to track that one down but I wanted a cohesive set of deluxes, but how is liking the old one a bad thing, what was wrong with the mold that I'm not aware of?

New face, lighter white, inner soft plastic mouth is now transparent red, with the teeth painted silver, and some of the painted green sections on the Hasbro version aren't painted in the Takara version. The green and pink look almost exactly the same.

The two Brainstorms fill completely different roles. The voyager is the IDW design, the deluxe is more 80's based. I also have Classics and Generations Jetfire, because the former was his design in Stormbringer.

I'm guessing they've bought into the mentality that everything newer is better than everything older. That's true for many things, but Transformers isn't linear.
