The arms are fine and his torso has a working ab-crunch for forward and back movement with some slight side-to-side. I'll concede that the legs are the most limited in its very slight ability to move outside but it can still get into deep stances using the forward motion of its thighs.

>You can't even feel secure leaving it in a dynamic pose for more than acouple days because you have to worry about the fucking cloth wearing out.

I've had my Mezco DKR Bats in a variety of dynamic poses for over a year with zero problems. Your assumptions of toys do not match reality.
>>
>>5926187

My assumption is of tight fitting cloth.

> dynamic poses

So you have a knee fully bent for a month or more? Something like that?

The BvS one looks even worse since those lines on his outfit look like they could peel right off of the fabric given time. Just like they did from all the clothing I've ever had that had those type of rubbery designs overlayed on it.

>>5928456
I'm already kinda sick of this action figure DLC crap that these companies are pulling. I want a whorey clown on my shelf, but I'm gonna feel obligated to buy the regular one and Batman so those accessories don't go to waste.

Could sell them, but that seems like effort, and I don't like effort
>>
>>5928475
It's likely just a budget thing.
Would you rather pay $10-15 more for the extra accessory to be included with the figure?
or
Skip the accessory you don't want, save money by not buying an unnecessary figure?
or
Buy figure you would have bought anyway and includes an extra accessory because the budget is enough to include it for the regular price?
or
Cry moar?

I'm glad i don't have to buy super overpriced figures if i want to afford more accessories that come with later figures.
>>
>>5926770
I'm genuinely interested in knowing how Funko takes its figures from the 3d model stage to actual production figure and how it's different from what other figure studios like Boss Fight are doing. They must still use injection molding, right?

Depending on the figure, the articulation can be basic to great. That Wonder Woman is pretty good.

But are you really saying that DCC or anyone can ever produce anything more perfect than that while sticking in more articulation?
Impossible, especially when you consider the fact casualfags will no longer remember how amazing Jae Lee's art was, thus no more toys will be ever produced for this already two year old series.

I don't know, I think most of the proportions look about right.

I think it's just the fact that the joints are broken up that it ends up looking less compact but if you compare it even to the HT figure the overall width and thickness of the armor pieces look fairly spot-on. Beyond that, I'd say the only notable thing is that the shoulder armor should cover more of his shoulder (though this was probably done to give more leeway for posing) and I'll give you that the crotch piece looks a little wider than it should be.

>>
>>5931163
that's pretty much a lot of people's (including mine's) main grippe with the icons line.
>>
>>5932646
Yeah, I'm not really planning on buying more icons until they get their act together on the articulation.

It's baffling how they keep falling short on this.
>>
>>5932656
I swore off the line from the get go because of their numerous issues. Delays are also a big issue, they just pushed their entire lineup months back.
>>
>>5932666
I got a few of them.

Flash can't even stay in a running pose on his base, meant to have him in a running pose, because the ankle joints aren't strong enough to support him for long.

Green lantern has floppy bicep swivels.

Luthor has sloppy paint apps.

All of them are lacking in articulation.

They are really really close to being great, but I thought for sure they'd respond to some of the criticism by now and we'd be seeing correction in the line.

Nope. Nothing.

Screw it. If they don't really want to be serious about making these great, I'll just wait and pretend they don't exist. Same as I did with DC figures for years before this.

They have a blatant direct model to use as an example and they just don't give a shit.

Nah, you can fuck off for acting like a big child who has to pretend that if something has average articulation it's statueshit.
Better to have something that poses alright with a near perfect sculpt than having a shitty design featuring a bad actress from a shitty movie. I pretty much have the opposite experience of this guy, but i didn't buy Flash >>5932678 . Joints are pretty solid, paint apps are great on everyone. Aside from lacking swivel thighs, they're pretty much on par with Marvel Legends in terms of articulation.
They're easily better than an ML and a hundred times better than Mattel's DCUC failure.

>Nah, you can fuck off for acting like a big child who has to pretend that if something has average articulation it's statueshit.
Nice strawman but that's not what I said, which is that if all you give a shit about is better sculpt and designs then you're literally better off getting statues which give you the option of far more dynamic sculpts and poses than what you're proposing (which is a good sculpt with mediocre articulation). Though I guess you can only say shit when you have to make up an argument for someone else huh?

And you know what's a perfect example of that?
>If you don't think the movie was shitty or that the actress worthwhile, whatever. opinions
This, THIS is the perfect example of how shit you are at coming up with arguments. Not once did I even mention the film (which I thought was terrible) but since it's the only thing you can cough up to argue back you resort to this kind of childish behavior.

Also kek at "big child" considering how it's shit with less articulation that's often targeted towards kids.

>Also kek at "big child" considering how it's shit with less articulation that's often targeted towards kids.
What a stupid argument, considering how many McStatues are made all around the world for adult collectors only.
All your arguments seem to be about is pretending to be stupid, huh? First you can't get the gist of my stating the DCC's is able to offer a good amount of articulation while doing some of the best sculpts ever. Then it's about thinking i should be able to tell every anonymous apart and now youre pretending an entire class of toys don't exist just to get a joke in? Remember when i called you a big child?

>>5933122
Actually, NECA, Mezco, Diamond, etc all do the same thing, because they want to keep the sculpt intact as possible. That's the market and price point DCC is in. It's mostly just Hasbro who offer better articulation and they're mass market toys sold for less.

If you value the sculpt over the articulation that the figure can no longer do dynamic poses, there's zero incentive to not just get a statue.

It'd have a higher quality sculpt, paint application, etc.

Releasing accessories like these for figures that can't really be posed to use them effectively is a joke. You may as well sell me gasoline for a car that has no wheels.

That's not, it's just like what you posted with batgirl earlier. Legs out, single jointed elbows bent to their max, no options at all for the torso since it has neither a waist or ab crunch articulation.
She doesn't even have an ankle rocker so she's standing on the side of her foot.

head twisted 180? dynamic!

If you lower the bar enough then everything becomes dynamic and the word loses all meaning you shitcunt.

>>
>>5934383
Come on man, you have to admit the possibility on that figure is limited. It's no statue, but I'm willing to bet that's basically the only "dynamic" pose you can get out of it. I can appreciate a sculpt that can capture Jae Lee's art, but I'm counting maybe 15-17 (can't tell if the boots swivel or not) points of articulation on that. And yeah, there's no ankle articulation so the pose looks awkward.

Obviously, everyone buys figures for different purposes, but Jae Lee's depiction of Wonder Woman and Catwoman is just as specific as a figure based on a movie. That's not even WW's standard costume, it's something Lee made up for the limited series he did.
>>
>>5934400
>implying i should know which asspie you are, the ankle one, the all or nothing one, the elbow one
or perhaps youre a new one that has a really specific idea of what dynamic really means?

>Triggered by people not liking what he likes
Nah, just triggered over people who actually get triggered over ankles not being parallel to the ground. But you know, instead of angry, I'm humored by people who actually get triggered by such things.

So which are you? Not the guy who keeps telling me to get a statue because i like great sculpts and paint on averagely poseable toys?
I sure love being told what to like by people such as yourself.

>but Jae Lee's depiction of Wonder Woman and Catwoman is just as specific as a figure based on a movie.
Of course, but it doesn't feature that talentless actress and won't support a terrible movie.
>>
>>5934231
I'm one of the anons you were throwing strawmen at before (I'll ignore the random shit you wrote last time since it was hardly even an argument >>5933900). Now you might be surprised by this but I actually agree that the pic you posted is a fairly dynamic pose. Still, what I'm saying is that given your criteria for what makes a "perfect" figure sounds more fitting for a statue, it's why I even said you're better off getting a statue at that point since it offers more in the way of sculptural quality and visual dynamism than a figure like that (which is NOT bad at all, given how I own a few statues of my own).

While you may disagree, I personally I find that DCC's figures actually end up marring Jae Lee's style where it doesn't end up as good as can be. At this point we can just agree to disagree, and while I agree that the figure you've shown are decent in their own right, I disagree with you in the overall execution of the Jae Lee lineup since it still leaves a lot to be desired; in which I feel that DCC still hasn't maximized the full potential of Lee's style in figure form.

Too bad it's a shit design.

>>

>>
>>5953265
Yeah, it says "I'm Superman." "Up up and away" and makes a "whoosh" sound. It randomly cycles through those three when you wave him around, however every time you flip the switch he always says, "I'm Superman."

From what I've heard, no.

His face is meh, a little too yellow, and whereas they knocked it out with batman's posable cape, they only wired the bottom of superman's which makes no sense.

I really like it. BUT I had to do multiple modifications to it to make it acceptable.

His biceps are reversed, so I had to switch those.

The ball joints on his hips are way too loose, so I put some small pieces of a plastic bag in the sockets to make them tighter.

The wire is in the bottom of the cape as opposed to the sides, so I took the wire out, cut it in half, and put it in the sides of the cape. (this was a huge pain in the ass)

The cape doesn't sit right on his shoulders, so I had to glue it down.

After all that, I think it's a really good looking movie Superman figure.

Nigger, I ain't got time for all that.

that doesn't look bad, i'm still debating between getting this one and the sh figure arts. also i'm thinking if i don't buy either then i could probably just get a hot toys one. but then i wouldn't have anyone to accompany my mezco batman. i wish they would just come out so i could decide.

at comic con i really leaned toward mezco from seeing them in person. and the biggest disappointment for me was neca batman. his face was weird and the texture was insanely busy.

Any runs worth looking into?
>>
>>5967180
Yeah I know next to nothing about the character, but that thing's had my eye for a while now. That nice cherry red and pearlescent yellow just looks so nice.
>>
>>5967180
I don't think there's ever been a notable Firestorm comic book run. He's just a great character design.
>>
>>5967180
Feels weird for me to say this but I've actually read enough about him to know the general idea of his character/personality dynamic, especially since he was (mostly) present in a lot of JLA crossovers I've read (be it Ronnie or Jason, or even both like in Brightest Day).
>>
>>5967180
Original run is pretty decent, though it's heavily dated. That'd be Firestorm the Nuclear Man. Then after that there's Fury of Firestorm (Not the New 52 one), though I haven't read that.

I picked up the Icons Hal today and I just don't know how to feel about this thing. It looked amazing in the box, felt nice and sturdy when I was taking it out. Then I actually got it out and realized how floppy his biceps are, and how easily the forearms fall off because of the swap gimmick. On top of that it's scary how damn fragile the armor parts can be. The jet pack came with a bent and almost snapped foil in the package, while the thigh armor parts can't even grip his thighs for shit, just kinda flopping around whenever I put them on.

I think the worst part is I can't even really use the cool construct fist he comes with, because every time I put it on the ring hand gets stuck inside and I have to spend five damn minutes fiddling around trying to get it out. I want to like this figure because damn does it at least look nice, but holy hell is it a mess in execution.

Sorry, but you just need to understand that they aren't going to articulate those figures as much as they can others because they're part of the designer series.

You'd have a better argument if you were talking about the Arkham figures, since some of htose figures had a lot of articulation... but that was before they started this new direction of how much articulation is to be expected from each line, huh?

Stay casual and keep watching those movies.
>>
>>5972888
>because they're part of the designer series.
Despite the fact that literally the first Greg Capullo Designer Series had a ton of articulated figures?

>You'd have a better argument if you were talking about the Arkham figures, since some of htose figures had a lot of articulation...
Again, your newfag is showing.

>but that was before they started this new direction of how much articulation is to be expected from each line, huh?
And what? Complaining about a figure that could have easily gotten articulation BECAUSE other figures in the same line easily did somehow makes that anon a newfag? It's like you don't even know the concept of criticism because of your blind dedication for the company or something.

>Stay casual and keep watching those movies.
Stay butthurt newfag, because when bringing up the shitty movies is your only argument I know you already have nothing else but shit to say.
>>
Looks like they fixed up Supergirl.
>>
>>5974576
>you already have nothing else but shit to say
Sure, if you're going to continue ignoring the fact that DCC has said that their designer toys are going to feature less articulation

>the concept of criticism
Criticism is fine, but guess what? Look at the fact of DCC's direction with their toys. All your bitching isn't going to change that. Yes, the figures have less articulation now and you're surprised? Again, DCC has said their designer figures are going ot feature less articulation.
Do you want me to repeat this to you until it gets through your slow brain? Because i can and will.
If you wanted and expected more articulation, you shouldn't have gotten the designer figures.

Seriously, go back to watching Batman vs Superman and pretend that you read the nu52 which is totally awesome.
