Monthly Building Challenges:
>Summer's almost over - make a scene with your sigfig enjoying the last days of the season!
>Bonkle is dead. Build something that uses parts specifically meant for Bionicle.
>Make a police MOC. Be sure to include some ineffectual chasing with handcuffs.
>Brickheadz are stupid. Let's revive Cubedudes! Build a Cubedude to show their superiority over Brickheadz!
>The 2016 Paralympics are on in Rio. Create a MOC or scene showing that minifigs that are broken, damaged or missing parts can still be the best!

>>
>>5921784
Also you are being a dick, I just said I find clear studs ugly, how does that imply I'm a blind fanboy?
>>
>>5921674
This for you and everyone else curious about these modular knockoffs.

ATTENTION, ANYONE INTERESTED IN THE LEPIN BRAND MODULARS.

Theres a BUNCH of reviews and even build logs out there, you just have to look. It took me several combinations of words (Lepin Modular, Lepin Place Cinema, Lepin lego modulars, you get the picture) to dig up the reviews and logs, but there does seem to be a consensus that they are definitely bang for your buck, BUT, they do have some issues. Missing pieces, mis-molded pieces, baseplates that are bent and wont settle down, even with the weight of the build on them (granted, im sure if you let it sit for a month itll stabilize), some pieces with mismatched sizes etc. Thing is, who cares if they didnt give you the extra five 1x1 round plates you need to finish it, the pieces that were missing all seem to be easily replaced.

Personally, im going to go for that mansion when it comes out, and ill be sure to post a build log and review on here when I do.
>>
>>5921799
>muh tism
>muh thread purity

But for real, isn't the only thing stopping people from making their own mansion a few sand green pieces that are unique to the set? How long before they're used elsewhere?
>>
>>5921547
I don't think they're robots. They look like they have a face shield like the CMF Space Marine's alt face.

But it does bother me that we don't see them in the show. Last season's finale would have been perfect, instead they made the King and Queen defend the Kingdom.
>>
>>5921805
What the fuck are you even talking about? That was a PRO knockoff post. I was just letting people know that there are legit reviews for these sets.

Purity my ass, im the guy who is constantly preaching the good word about our chinky friends and their wonderful knockoffs.

>>

>Also you are being a dick

>I just said I find clear studs ugly, how does that imply I'm a blind fanboy?
Because clear surfaces on objects that are used to represent structures or environments are OBJECTIVELY better looking than off place brand letters covering the entire build.

Everyone who asks about third party stuff in this thread are also wrong. It's fine if it happens because they don't know they have other options, but let's not kid ourselves. If "like a dozen" people were discussing a topic in a thread about that topic, it would keep that thread alive. If I stared talking about why K'nex was so great and posting K'nex MOCs here, you'd know it was in the wrong place.

I'd have to order both from S@H, they're both 40€ and they both have pros and cons.

You have an exploding fuel truck with a super jumper or a magical office with a squid hole. I'd go with squid hole personally.
>>
>>5921956
Get Dr. Strange.

I've never said this about LEGO before, but the pieces from the Tanker set feel like Chinese knockoffs. Some of them fit way too tight, so tight that they bend other pieces. The orange pieces, the bulk of the build, are somewhat transparent. If you just want the minifigs, bricklink them.

I love how blocky they are, they are easily expandable and reproducible with just basic bricks and without the need for specialized parts. If i were a kid i'd want all of them.

I'm missing Tom Cruise, cyborg, spooky boy, dog fucker, and lesbian boxer.

Have 2 extra pirates, 1 extra rogue, 1 extra teen mom, 2 extra bananas, 1 extra terrorist, and 1 extra mariachi.

i have only 1 penguin boy, only 1 imp, only 1 photog, only 1 ice queen, only 1 hitchhiker,

Am I allowed to dislike shiptember without being labeled as hipster contrarian trash?

Seriously, all I think of when I see the great big fuckoff ships is a bunch of community elites jerking each-other off and egostroking themselves for owning more than an average amount of pieces.

Lego has always acknowledged AFOLs. That's why they started making Model Team sets, or our current high-end D2C sets. That's how we got Ideas, and the interaction between TLG and fansites.

However, a majority of their product (particularly the sets that all of the regular stores get) are still very much targeted at kids.

Dimensions seems to be trying to sell to console-owning parents and other adults as much as the kids that those parents would have.

I really wanted to use the Space Orc armor for the Fighting Sibling because of the pauldrons, but that's the only white hair piece I have and it's too wide to fit inside the collar of the armor.

Build should be self-explanatory from this shot.

Just found out about brickset. I have now learned that in the two years since I bought a Power Digger and my dark age ended, I have amassed sixty sets and somewhere around sixteen thousand pieces.

Have I gone too far, or not far enough?
>>

read below. when you click agree it will make you select the shipping option before buying
>>
>>5923666
look at this page: http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=figman#/splash

That page has 4 tabs. One of those should have shipping info listed in a way that you will have to calculate. You need to do the math yourself if you need to know the price before you order. If you place the order and you still don't know the shipping you will just have to wait for the seller to give you the price. If you don't have enough money or decide that it is too much, just ask the seller to cancel the order.

Ok guys, i got it. I could calculate the weight of the order by myself since this order was so small, but is there a function that summarises the weight automatically?

I'm guessing that there should be, since the weight of each product is listed in each auction. Or does it only calculate the weight after i place the order? Like, if you guys order 30 different products in various quantities, do you actually have to calculate the shipping by yourself? I hope you understand my question, my english is terrible.

Looking at the theme and minifigs, Exo-Force looks like a proto-Ninjago. Obviously it wasn't purposefully done that way, but Ninjago took a lot of the good ideas from it and integrated them. You have mechs, an old master, a cast of heros that are similar, and the general anime theme. Anyone who wants Exo-force to come back, we've got it, but bigger and bolder than anywhere Exo-Force went as a theme. I'm satisfied with Ninjago now. Now if only we could get those anime hair pieces.

Do you want to see what this looks like?
>>
>>5925164
i don't know, would it turn you on?
>>
Other than last year's Pirates line, which sets and figures would fit in a 1700's coastal warfare setting?
>>
>>5925261
The previous years' pirates.
>>
>>5925081
no, it's your fault for being such an autistic faggot who gets triggered by such an insignificant matter, and then becomes annoying complaining about it, so I annoy you back because it amuses me

Jesus christ, im up for like two days on speed watching the biggest autist ive seen yet screaming about bootlegs on here, finally crash, wake up 13 hours later and hes still going.

And some of you say pics of Hulkbusters are autistic. Fucking hell.

ANYWAY

I AMDE A CUSTON DOC OCK FIG for like $6 in parts, most expensive being the torso at $4.10.

Why are his OG figs so expensive? Even WITHOUT the arms?

>>
>>5925505

Enlighten Pirates (which is fantastic by the way) are about the only option aside from a few select CMF minifigs. The George Washington from series 10, the pirate captain and conquistador from series 8, Swashbuckler from series 12, Captain Hook from the Disney series, and the pirate from series 15 that's out now. You might be able to get away with some of the sky pirates from this year's Ninjago series as well.

Does anyone know where you can get pic related by the way?
>>
>>5925673
The Lego store near me has the battle pack. Other than that, I'd assume online or bricklink.
>>
>>5925673
Sky Pirates might be possible, at least with some modifications. I didn't think of that one, thank you.

Denzel Washington and Chris Pine
>>
>>5923351
What's the problem here? Can't they just be pulled out where they come out of the frame?
>>
>>5926075
Read the post again. He's saying that if you push them in all the way, they'll be stuck.
>>
>>5926075
>>5926110

The idea is that if you push them all the way in, you can't get them back out.

But since these frames have small internal cutouts, you can use a map pin or compass point to slowly guide the 2M axles out. Those are expendable compared to beam frames, so it doesn't matter if a sharp metal implement mashes them up.

what does space pimp wear
>>
>>5929436
It has a skull necklace that can't be heresy'd off because the underprinting isn't the same color as the torso. If you don't mind the skull necklace, it's probably good.

Joker wears purple.
