Takara versions are only imported and sold by international sellers in limited quantities. It's just how retail works in asian markets: They tend to only order enough wholesale stock to meet preorders and a reasonable amount of store stock and nothing more.

Generations Rattrap is fun as hell.

Both forms look great but I love how much poseability his beast form has it really has a lot of personality.

See those areas circled? You have to shave down on the hinge to prevent the pieces from snapping. Just shave it until it goes down flush, instead of with pressure.

You can't do it if he's in robot mode, you have to transform the leg a bit to shave it from behind.

Not him but I've done this as well and if you have a razor thin enough to squeeze in between there, it's also worth shaving a tiny bit off the sides as shown here.

They won't cause breakage but I've found that on my rattrap they were way tighter than they need to be and loosening them up just a little bit makes trasforming him a ton easier.

The official is jet gets the wide sword, car gets the other, and drill gets the ax. But the swords don't fit unless They're given to the other. Ax is loose no matter who. And the combined weapon has the swords reversed from the official version too. I added some paint onto my jet and it looks a bit better though I need to touch it up once it dries. You can also fold the eagle head out on jets chest. The set is well worth $15. The combined mode is even bigger than a leader tf.

I'm thinking if we get an Abominus, we'll also get Predaking or Piranacon. Alpha Trion was already supposed to be a CW mold (so Razorclaw retool potentially) and the limbs will probably be heavily retooled versions of each other. Like all the quadroped beast modes share like, two moulds each. Cutthroat and Divebomb share a mold and end up as straight repaints with the UW version being a retool. Rippersnapper and Blot are retools. Calling it now.

It seems like some of the Titan master molds are just friction joints. I know the Horribull/Skytread mold is, as my Horribull keeps getting his legs stuck in the tank. But then the infinitus that came with sentinel prime has his thighs backwards/upside down, and he's pinned in on both points.

Whether it's by design or it's a QC issue, I'd have to have another look when I get home. It's the first time I've seen the point raised, but now it's mentioned it does seem pretty odd to me and I know some of mine are the same.

Personally, I've ALWAYS been a fan of alternate dimensions and "what-if" stories. It's just something that's always interested me. You can do that to any franchise (TMNT, Power Rangers, etc) and make the villians into good guys and the bad guys into heroes and I'll be fine with it. I like the characterizations of MOST of the characters in Shattered Glass. Of course there are some cliche'd, boring, and predictable characters, but you can say that about characters from the Shattered Glass AND the original universe. You can't hit a home run every time.

So I'll just agree to disagree with you. I still haven't gotten a legitimate answer for WHY you don't like the SG universe aside from saying it's edgy and poorly executed. Well Beast Wars had it's fair share of "Buy this toy now" syndrome. I know that's what happened with Tigerhawk. The thing that helped Beast Wars was that it was CGI, so they literally couldn't keep including different characters into the show just for fucks sake (Like G1 did) because creating new character models was really time consuming and expensive. That's a big reason why Rhinox, Dinobot, Waspinator, Airazor, Tigatron and Blackarchnia didn't get Transmetal forms (though 2 of those eventually got TM2 forms).

As a result, the show had no choice but to fall back on its writing and character development...which turned out to be a great thing for the franchise.

The G1 cartoon was so shitty because of the animation budget (which was slim at best) and the fact that writers HAD to keep on adding new characters because of the toyline. Therefore, pretty much no one aside from Prime,Megatron, Bumblebee, Rodimus, Galvatron, the Dinobots, and the Constructicons got any type of character development. And even then, the character development was really thin.

I bring my Rewind almost everywhere because he is the only Transformers I have that is both modern and is freaking compact to a size of a TicTac box.

Takara is darker, hasbro is more vivid.
And roller is blue on the hasbro version and silver in the takara version

The eyes are also slightly better on the Hasbro version

Honestly the differences on him are so negligible that you can just pick either or for whatever stupid reason you can think of.
Like, I bought the Takara version of him because I like lining my walls with boxes and I think Takara MP boxes look nicer than Hasbro MP boxes.
