I decided that one vehicle wasn't enough, so I made this oversized chopper fit for wasteland mutants.

It has some asymmetry going on, and can hold the mutant's weapon. I tried to make this build different from my pickup truck by minimising the amount of spikes, and trying to make it look like it belonged in a post-apocalyptic world through other means, like the colour scheme and the rider.

There are a couple of things that are imperfect about it. The vehicle is meant to be oversized because, originally, I was designing it for one of the troll bigfigs. The concept was that it was custom-made from salvaged car and motorcycle parts for a very big dude - but every solution that fit their inanimate legs looked like shit.

I just reason that in the 'fiction' of the build, the minifigure is taller. Super Mutant height.

AcceleRacers guy, reposting poll.

Gonna make more AcceleRacers cars, that's for sure, but not for a couple weeks. My birthday is soon so whatever Speed Champions sets I get will be saved until then. So, when the time comes, what do you guys want to see first?

Options:
Jack Hammer, Pork Chop's first car
RD-09, Gelorum's car
or
AcceleRacers skin Sling Shot, Kurt's first car

Things to consider:
Jack Hammer will be an 8-wide, and have Pork Chop's anchor, bigger rear wheels, and side-by-side seating
RD-09 will be just 6-wide, and feature the fold-in rear fins from The Ultimate Race, as well as bigger rear wheels.
I'll try to make Sling Shot's entire cockpit open forward like the actual car, that may take a while. Rear won't have wheel arches, it'll just be the fins of the cockpit like the actual car.

I've never used the LCD or LDD or LLD or whatever the Lego computer program is.
Is there ways to upload parts list to Bricklink and find everything you need?
I have enough trouble with Bricklink as it is, but I'm going to try and make my own modular, and while I would love to just have all the pieces in front of me and figure it out, I also don't want to buy too much shit I don't need, right?

For what it's worth: I think it's okay that the rider can't see forward easily. It's just one of those things that happens sometimes with MOCs. I like the idea of a stupid huge unmanageable motorbike blasting through the wasteland, narrowly missing various rocks and friends because the rider can't see.

So, like heres the thing. Why do you care what color your grocer is? Yea it isn't a green grocer, but it could still be a cool building. I agree that a limited re-release could be fun. I personally don't own any modulars, so maybe I can't talk. I just think its silly for people to worry about collecting sets that are so expensive and have no reason to be exactly the same. If it is a starwars ship or a real life place then it has to be the same every time, including re-releases. Those are just my thoughts.

I'm kind of tempted to see if I can turn this set into a full fledged electric RC car. There's plenty of space to install batteries, motors, receivers, ESCs and all the wiring needed. I just wonder if the plastic is going to be strong enough to withstand all the torque the motor will be putting out. Working out steering might be a problem too.

I can't figure out why LEGO still hasn't included hair pieces for the NEXO knights sets. I mean 80% of the show they aren't wearing their helmets. Clay and Lance's hair is easy to get but Aaron's headphone hair looks like it's from the movie limited polybag Robo DJ. With Mr T coming out, Axl will be able to have a hairpiece, a bit expensive like the Robo DJ though. Macy will still be bald. None of the existing hair has a large enough hole to fit the ponytail from her helmet. I'm hoping Wave 3 sets we get some hair. A CMF with Macy hair would be practical since they get unique molds.

There is so much azure, dark purple, grey and black.
Jestro is back as the villain, only this time he's been corrupted even more. He's blue and his outfit is purple and flamish-yellow. He is accompanied by an evil lightning cloud.
The monsters are rock monsters, but they're sooo awesome. They have purple helmets and weapons.
The Knights all get makeovers, with new armor, trans visors, and new prints.
There's a new piece that's like the lightning bolt piece but cut in half and with a bar on the end
New piece that looks like a small, flat blade.
The theme this time around is 'COMBINE YOUR POWER!'


70347 - Similar to the Knighton Battle Blaster but the wheels are smooth and it's a stud shooter in front. Soldier and a rock villain (purple gargoyle-like headpiece) with a scythe

70348 - A small wheeled vehicle with two lances in front. I think it's called the Dual Jouster? The villain has an awesome, new swirly leg piece similar to the ghost legs. Lancebot and Lance included.

70349 - This looks like a weird chariot. The front is meant to look like a beast with claws. The back is a cage with someone inside, with an upside-down corrupted shield above. Ruina has light blue Bellatrix hair (!) and a scythe. Aaron is included.

70350 - Rolling vehicle with a castle turret railing as a mouth, which looks pretty cool. New big wheels that are rocky, similar to the Power Miners wheels. Small catapult on back. The two bad guys are one that looks like Tremor from UA and a smaller guy with a purple helmet and a ball-and-chain. Another corrupted shield and Axl

70351 - This one is absolutely stunning! Blue jet with trans orange wings, new canopy piece, and dual six-stud shooters in front and one in back! There is a giant, Burnzie-like character with glowing wings and a mace hand. There are two rock guys that are a circle and a brick, too. Clay, Claybot, and a corrupted shield included.

70352 - The big one. It's a giant, long tank with a jester head at the front. It's not as great as you'd think but it looks hilarious. A lot of the new rock wheels. The Action sets are actually called Battle Suits. They're really neat little mechs using the Mixel joints. They all use a specialized torso piece that can open from the front and have the figure inside. Their heads pop out the top. They all come with bigger versions of their weapons, so like Axl has a new axe piece for his suit and Clay has a bigger version of his sword used for his suit. They all also come with a new triangle shield (a shape that will be used a lot throughout next year's theme) that can hold 3 NEXO Powers .

Now, Combo NEXO Powers actually is mystery Nexo Powers! That was a lucky guess on my part, you get 5 mystery NEXO Powers in a bag, 35 in total to collect. Every bag comes with the triangle shield that has clips on each side so you can combine them with others, thus COMBINE YOUR POWER! The boxes are similar to the Ultimate ones but wider.

Is it better to buy a train set and customize it or buy the parts separately and build the thing from scratch?

I've heard that at least some Chinese sets are close in quality to first-party Lego. So far, I've only seen these sets of minifigs, but I'd like to go further and maybe get some larger sets.

The good thing is, they are so cheap you can splurge a bit and test the waters. Some good brands for figs are SY, POGO and ENLIGHTEN. Good Brands for sets are ENLIGHTEN and SY and several others (im sure a few people who dont give a fuck about the "rules" will chime in.)

And for the record, the 3rd party general is a graveyard, on good days no one cares about them being talked about here. If people dogpile you over it, just ignore them.

Kinda. If the set has rare or exclusive parts they tend to go up in value. Lego could release a new set with those rare parts and that would lower the value. Having the original box and instructions/stickers helps keep the value I'm told. There is a website that tracks the value of retired Lego sets. I can't remember the name, but they make you register to look at certain pages.
