Not sure if this is a troll thread or bait thread or whatever (it probably is), but I've always liked this collection. Honestly, it's probably the best looking collection anyone who regularly posts on /toy/ has. Not just in terms of furniture/decor placement in the actual room, but also in terms of actual figures.

I'm not a fan of the dino shit, and I think some shelves could do with a bit of decluttering, but I've yet to see someone actually post a display that looks better.

This really makes me want to repaint my office.

No severe UV risk from what I can see, but yes, ideally you'd get blinds as the other anon suggested. If you really don't like or want blinds though, I think you'll be fine. It would likely take years for any real yellowing to show up on a white figure.

If you live in the ecuator like the picture suggests you shouldn't have to worry much about the light from the white wall. The sun should typically hit it at very steep angles and not much will be reflected to your room.

Posing. I wont derail this thread but if you want more posts just ask in the skeleton general. I really enjoy them only flaw is the legs are kind of weak so they can struggle in more complex dynamic poses or holding heavier accessories and the right shoulder socket in every single fucking one is loose because of the mold. All six of my Takeya Skeletons have the same problem.

Sorry, but I have to ask what is considered a clusterfuck these days. I see that term tossed around indiscriminately especially whenever a Transformer makes a single appearance in someone's collection. While the OP's collection isn't perfect, I can only spot one or two shelves that MAY be considered a clusterfuck. If you look at his display, though, you can see pretty much each and every figure clearly because he's using stands and risers. It's not like any of his figures are obscured because they're standing behind a figure of equal height or anything. Hell, even the majority of his poses are decent.

No matter how good your display set up are, once it reaches like 30-40+ figures in a room it'll look like a manchild cave. This is not a matter of hiding your powerlevel, or being insecure about your powerlevel. Manchild cave looks aesthetically bad, especially when your room is 70% figures and figure display set ups because it makes it seems like that's all your life. I'm sure that's not the case for most of us here (who can afford those expensive plastic cracks by being manchild). I'm still trying to solve this conundrum, one day when I have a house I'm gonna have a library of rotating shelves probably to fix the conundrum.

Clusterfuck-y just means it looks like one even if it ain't.

Transformers are just a jumble of pieces, which is what clusterfucks are from seen from afar. When you put in multiple transformers, it's hard to distinguish the different forms or seperate figures.

Why does a Transformer look like a jumble of pieces? Because you have the extra bits just sticking out. Antlers sticking out of feet, snouts sticking out of backs, antenna sticking out of shins, wheels on a shoulder, and that sort of shit. Pieces that shouldn't be where they are, making it look disjointed. Add more than a few transformers to a shelf? Extra extra busy looking.
So it's jsut the nature of Transformers. Can't be helped, unless you can streamline them like an 80s cartoon or with the help of magic and selling your soul to transcended autist .

Basically, a clusterfuck is where you cant tell what's what at first glance. Having figures where you can't see whos in the 11th row is a clusterfuck. Just obscuring the 2nd row can be a clusterfuck, hence raised stands being used.

To me there is method to my madness. The prop wall started as simply a wall of Morphers but then I realized I didn't have as many as I thought. Second realization was that I had quite a few Role Play toys that where good enough imho to be considered props and so I started tacking stuff up. The only reason Saba is over the TV is 1. I really fucking like Legacy Saba 2. It wouldn't fit with the rest of the props. The original idea behind the Amiibo and Infinity figures was to place them on either side of Saba but after a bought a hand full of SkyMounts the guy on Etsy that makes them up and vanished.

It may seem haphazard but there are themes to each pocket of stuff. I said it was good for a laugh cause it's not a cool as anyone elses, I really dislike the idea of Detolf stands in general and that seems to be what's most popular. Didn't mean to trigger you annon.

I'm aware of these. I have a few myself. What I meant was how in the world have those figures not toppled over period? I have Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors combiners and they've been known to fall over if you even look at them funny. Having them on such narrow little shelves looks like it's just asking for trouble.

The blaster is from the Loyal Subjects ranger figs they used to sell at hot topic (Pic related). The guns are just the right size for the legacy figures. You can still get the little guys off of ebay no problem

Rats. If it makes you feel any better, the white looks good with the paint color behind it. It's not too bad, and you could always paint it if you're handy. Maybe make it red or something so it really pops it whatever room it ends up in.
Don't sweat the displays yet, it will look better as the cabinet fills with toys. Then you can start to think about spacing and risers. Everyone has to start somewhere
