i give it 8 for the rider -1 stuff and a 2 for everything else.

the worst part is that there is barely any scene transitions. it just plops to the next scene.

beginning of the movie, giant fight scene, ghost kinda gets his ass kicked, jump cut to the temple where he's being patched up.

i havent seen it subbed, but there seems to be no reason for his suit upgrade other than the fact he has a heart problem.

in fact, halfway through the movie there is a scene that would of been a perfect introduction for the new suit.

but he just has it throughout the movie.

Blade got it pretty bad, even for being heralded as a giant leap in figuarts production. Its only real big victory is in engineering... which Bandai has only integrated in few, select figuarts succeeding Blade.

Its worst offense is his helmet. I that department, I think it is the worst of the un-redone bunch. Only keeping my for the effect that the SHFSS surely won't have... and because one of the lousy Rouse Card stickers fell off his Blade Rouser and got lost to the ether. Keep in mind Amazon isn't all bad. White Wizard belt is dirt cheap with free shipping(Though it's gone up by like $10 over the years), Drive's belt was selling as low as $20 with free shipping up until this year, now it's back to like $35ish, and certain gimmick toys can be gotten for cheaper than it would cost to import + ship and you can usually pair the items up since they come from warehouses for the most part.

Just go to HLJ or AmiAmi and grab the belt, never buy new Japanese stuff from anything that's not Amazon.co.jp, especially when it's from a brand new series unless you absolutely have to.

Well, the amount you're paying isn't really going to be justifiable unless you're specifically getting a lone DX collectible for like $9-14 since that's more than it would cost to import it, but for the more expensive stuff it's almost always worth it to import, especially mechs or belts since Sentai mechs go for $100+ and belts manage the same even a while after release unless the series has a toy overstock/did poorly.

The problem with Drive sales is that they overstocked on stuff that nobody really wants (the shift cars, the weapons, etc) and yet they limited the good toys that everybody wants (break gunner, trailer cannon, tridoron shift car). The show did a pretty lackluster job in making certain toys matter, and when they do, it turns out not everyone can get it, which throws away interest.

I bought drive stuff at the near end of the show. Bought all the main form change shift cars and was satisfied enough to stop there.

Second, I'm only pointing out that it's not about "serious" or not, it's about how they don't even look like Riders. The lack of Rider-like eyes is what's mainly bothering me, and I think the whole SD thing looks silly on top of it. I figured that the SD thing was a silly mascot character, like Yurusen, which is why I was surprised. I don't particularly care about what the tone of the show might be, since it hasn't aired yet. It could be grimdark as hell and characters could die indiscriminately. It could be really well-written. I just don't care for the designs.

I'm bothered that you're glossing over my feelings to talk down to me, and treat me as though I should like it just because Gaim had fruit and dancing. It's not about the content of the show. Same here, the size felt smaller than expected but it's still fine, probably just used to the Eyecons themselves being about the same size as in the show (i think, i don't remember noticing the show ones being much bigger).

For me though it's always the DX weapons that are way too small to bother with. The GanGan hand was was like a baby's t-rex arm compared to how it's supposed to be with the show, so lucky it seems that there won't be any Gashats combo'd with the weapons for now.
