Abomination wave is currently shipping out from some online retailers, ymmv as always.
Dr strange wave is up for preorder everywhere, toys r us currently has 20% discount on it and other legends.

Previous thread: >>5895490

I just found out X-Men '92 is a thing, and with the recent Legends Rogue and upcoming Cyclops coming out, I'm hopeful for a Jim Lee Wolverine and the rest of the crew to come soon.
>>
>>5906635
We got a Jim Lee Wolverine in the current Juggernaut wave.
>>
>>5906663
I should've specified, Jim Lee Wolverine in the yellow/blue costume
>>
>>5906663
>>5906671
Considering how much of juggs wave wolverine was brand new tooling, a blue costume one is pretty much guaranteed. I doubt it'll be anytime soon though, as they'd probably want to space it out.
>>
>>5906681
I don't own the current wave Wolverine yet because I'm not really a fan of his mask and expression, but I didn't know it was using new tooling, that's good to hear. I haven't been buying Hasbro Legends for very long.

>tfw decently articulated versions of the X-Men I grew up with are being released

I think I got into this line at the right time.
>>
>>5906671

That'd be cool. I'd be down for a First Appearance Wolverine, even as a Walgreens exclusive.
>>
Just noticed theres a sale going on at TRU if you need any MLs. They're sold out of all the ones I'm still looking for.

pizza spidy/ new sdcc mcfarlane or wait for revoltech
>>
>>5906957
What's the sdcc one look like and how hard to come by will it ve?
>>
>>5906956
The pizza one from the hobgoblin wave is probably the best overall that's out now, but he's a little expensive. The ultimate one that came out recently with the abomination wave is pretty great too, but he's also a lot shorter than you might expect.

>>5906961
It's basically the pizza body with a more mcfarlane head. He was about 35-40 last I checked, which is way too much considering he doesn't come with all the hands.
>>
>>5906961
Same mold more less

SDCC
-better eyes (opinion)
-slightly better leg articulation

-No optional hands and arnt interchangble with pizza spidy even though more or less same mold

-30~40

Pizza
-pizza
-swapable hands

-meh Leg articulation
>>

They'll probably do one for Homecoming, though nothing has been announced
>>

>>
>>5906956
Pizza Spider-Man is good but the ASM2 legends was the shit before Pizza Spidey came along. It has really good articulation and it's a pretty good alternative if you can't find Pizza
>>
>>5907172
asm2 legends makes a great zombie spider man if you have the time or if you have solid painting skills painting em silver makes em look like a convincing armored spiderman
>>
Bought the Terrax Wave Thor for 5 bucks, but he came with no Mjolnir, anywhere I can get one cheap. I looked on ebay and I found one for 10 unpainted was hoping I can find a cheaper alternative that's compatible with my legends figure.
>>
>>5907234
I'm pretty sure allfather/Odin wave Thor has the same mjolnir but I can't be sure

Does anyone know when the Netflix figures are coming out, and who else will be released with Jess and Frank?
>>
Most of the x wave is under $15 at amazon aside from the three you would expect. Miles and Ult. Peter is under $15 too, just in case anyone was holding out.
>>
>>5907858
Oh cool bought Miles thanks m80
>>
>>5907845

We do not know when or how they will get released. Im betting we are NOT getting a full wave. Im guessing an exclusive 3 pack and DD would be the 3rd figure.
>>
>>5906615
Finally managed to land some individual orders for Enchantress and Nico on BBTS (Nico being one of my most favorite in Runaways alongside Molly and Victor).

It's so frustrating how it's always the female characters that are essentially waifu'd by collectors even when they know jack about said characters, and it makes it so damn hard to secure pre-orders when collectors and scalpers alike tend to hog them.
>>

2MB, 2664x3328px
This Wolverine is legit.
>>
>>5908017
I know this might be the case but somehow I hope not. I'd love to at least get figures of DD, DD's "Man in Black" suit, Kingpin and Elektra.
>>
>>5908324
I can't wait for a proper classic blue/yellow
>>
>>5907845
>>5908017
This would really be great as two two-packs, even if they were separate store exclusives:
One pack with DD and Punisher and another with Jessica and Luke Cage. That'd definitely make it easier to obtain all of the figures.

More than anything though, I'm excited about the remold possibilities from Jessica's body.
>>
>>5908323
I'm sort of not sure what you mean here? There're always going to be 1-2 figures per wave that are very rare due to popularity. And all the women in the last year or so that ended up being super rare have either been popular characters in the first place, or packed in cases with a bunch of c-listers. The strange wave is pretty much a textbook example of this.
>>
>>5908353
I could see Enchantress being sold out given how she's really sought after as a classic Thor character, but I don't really see many people knowing who Nico is beyond "Asian goth chick".
>>
>>5908355
A: people who are preordering figures online are probably more hardcore than your average moviegoer, and are likely comic fans.
B: runaways is a good/popular series. Whenever I see people ask for what to read to get into marvel, runaways almost always comes up.

I think there's a ton of intersection in there, and again, most of this wave is gonna be pegwarmers. Iron fist will be popular because of the netflix show coming out, and when I checked TRU's site the other day, the only ones sold out were him, with as nico and enchantress.
>>
>>5908377
>A: people who are preordering figures online are probably more hardcore than your average moviegoer, and are likely comic fans.
>B: runaways is a good/popular series. Whenever I see people ask for what to read to get into marvel, runaways almost always comes up.
That's fair enough, I may have underestimated Runaways's popularity given how long ago I've read the original series.

It sucks because ordering online is better for me since all toy stores in my area only ever stock ML once in a blue moon. And while my LCS do stock them, they tend to be jacked up in price by 20-30%.

In this case, it's literally cheaper for me to resort to online stores like BBTS where I can do combined shipping with other figures.
>>
>>5908323
Why preorder through BBTS? They're up on amazon where you can get them with free shipping through prime, and probably less than full price since they have that preorder price guarantee, the new IF is currently $16.
>>
>>5908415
Oh shit, enchantress is discounted too. She's on the old scarlet witch/wasp body though, right? I'd dig a new enchantress but God that body is terrible.
>>
Yeah. It looks like the whole wave is 15.99 aside from movie Strange and Nico.
>>
Damn. I wonder if it would just be cheaper to buy the MLs with the pieces than buy Dormammu off ebay with shipping prices
>>
>>5908453

That's what I would do if you only want the BAF.

You can always recoup some of the cost by selling the figures loose. The MCU Strange and Nico alone should at the very least get you a decent return.
>>
>>5908453
>>5908572
I actually considered doing that when TRU had all of them discounted, and it would have been a pretty good deal all things considered. 30 or so bucks cheaper than just buying a case, but it's sorta moot now considering they're sold out of half of the figures. My plan is buying the two I actually want, selling their parts, and buying a completed baf off someone.

I'm not gonna lie, I actually like finishing bafs, but it's some serious bullshit designed to move toys nobody'd buy otherwise. I'd much rather the budget went to actual better quality and they just sold larger figures at a more expensive price point. I'd totally buy dormy for 40 retail if it meant better mainline figures.
>>
Just scored Mark 46 iron man, and nuke for $11
>>

Is the Infinite Series Death's Head figure any good? Apparently there's the issue with the chestpiece+cape being a single piece, but other than that, people seem to find it worth it.

Toys Toys Toys has it for around 15 Canadabucks, might it be better to search for it at TRU/Wal-Mart? Thank you!
>>
Anyone pop the like, face-mask/front part of Giant Man's helmet off? I'm curious as to what it looks like under there since there are eyes painted under it, if anything.

Either you're new or you haven't noticed the enormous lovefest for the much better MU line.
Now it's hated, but only because we we're getting shit instead of the older amazing figures, such as that Deaths Head.
>>
>>5909231
He's great. The paint/deco is amazing, the weapons are cool, the sculpt is good. He is missing ankle rockers, but is generally perfect other than that.

But I like that scale for Marvel, as much if not more than ML.

My DH hangs out with my legends-scale Transformers, though.
>>
>>5908336
Two packs woud be good but I'd like a full wave with a Kingpin BAF.

DD, JJ, Luke Cage, Punisher, Iron Fist, and maybe Elektra.

I'd want the Kingpin to be way oversized with 2 heads: a D'Onofrio one and a comic accurate one.

Toy Biz was trash
>>
>>5909998
>>5910177
The Toybiz one was awesome. Good paint detail, good facial expression.
However, the articulation and claws on the new one are superior; and on a Wolverine figure you don't want the claws to be gummy. Bonus for the interchangeable hands. Hasbro Wolverine is better.
>>
>>5910177
If you honestly think that the one on the right looks better than the left, you need to leave this board.
>>
>>5910187
The face being more expressive on the Toybiz figure and the toe joint are literally the only things it has going for it.

I actually have both and each one has it's pros and cons.

So walmart Falcon, Winter Soldier, and walgreens Punisher, are they all worth picking up?
>>
>>5910538
No, no, if you like Punisher sure.
>>
>>5910538
Falcon is good, Winter Soldier isn't necessarily a must get but I like him. I don't have Punisher.
>>
>>5910538
I'd probably say punisher, then falcon, then bucky. Punisher is pretty good, comes with nice accessories, and is only really limited by his shoulder straps getting in the way of his arms. His hands not having trigger fingers sucks too, and while it's fixable, even if you cut them the finger is still a little too short to properly stay in a triggerguard.

Falcon was obviously done by the b-team, but his wings are amazing and the headsculpt is perfect. His body is clunky and that's the only reason I'd put him below punisher, but it's still passable and he does flying poses just fine. Bucky's head is great, but that's about all he has going for him. Dude has trouble standing up straight and can't hold his gun or knife.

What the hell even happened? There's these ugly light purple lines all over the top of head. They're completely smooth, so they're not scratches.

Oh and to top it off, there's some pink paint from the mouth on his right cheek too. Hope it'll be easy to find just the head somewhere.
>>

they're called highlights usually done by dry brushing or paint wiping.

I always say it's better to be light than heavy handed.
Of course, if that's the only spot it has them, then that's just wrong.

Yeah, the figure itself and the hands and extra head are perfect, but this head is the only one that has these highlights you speak of. I know Hasbro isn't known for their quality, but this is just strange.

Everything before then is shit but the solo series is surprisingly well written.
>>
>>5913211
Still no double-jointed elbows though. Is it really that mechanically difficult to make a spidergirl with >90degree ROA?
>>
>>5913380

Any time she appears in something written by Dan Slott (her co-creator), she reeks of Mary-Sue waifu insert. Even her origin is pretty groan-inducing. She was bitten by the same spider that bit Peter and gained the same powers, but stronger. Oh, and she and Peter also releases a pheremone that makes them want to fuck like rabbits whenever they're within 100 feet of each other. She's also quirky and awkward.

Her solo series is pretty alright because the writer ends up ironing all that out and gives her some lingering trauma and bitterness from her origins and the events of the Spider-Women crossover.
>>
>>5913477
OK, I mean "better" as in her elbows and ankles don't have a 50/50 chance of shearing off right out of the package, her chest joint isn't a joke, and her ankles aren't floppy. It's basically on par with the rogue/captain marvel body, which is sadly the gold standard for women in legends. I really hate single jointed elbows too and I've done the rant about how easy they'd be to do, but it ain't changing anytime soon.

It's Storm with Jubilee's torso & legs that's apparently worth its weight in gold. $100 or more everywhere. Now, I really want that version of Storm too, but I can't imagine she's just that popular. Was she shortpacked to 0.5 to a case or something? The hell happened?

Found this guy at Walmart. First time buying an ML, or, Hell, any comic book character since I was a kid. Pretty good all around, guess they're making figures much better these days than the old "you're lucky if you have elbows and knees and aren't shit on by some dumb gimmick" of the 90's.

Always loved this costume, total impulse buy. But does the ankle range on these things always suck so much? He really could use more forward/back motion for his feet. And maybe a toe joint. Other than that though, he's really good. Are the rest of the ML figures about as good as this guy, or is he better/worse than the average figure?

So some of the females have more or less range? Because honestly, for the price, he seems pretty good. Might pick up another at some point if I can find some characters I like. Guessing they don't make 80's/90's costumes that often, do they?
>>
>>5916687
Looks like he's taking a shit while trying to fight someone.
>>
>>5916624
>But does the ankle range on these things always suck so much? He really could use more forward/back motion for his feet.
I don’t own that Wolverine, or many recent ML figures, but I think yeah, they lately tend to have little range in the ankle, especially forward. They may have good range backwards if the sculpt allows it, but the way the secondary joint is built along the foot obstructs the forward movement quite a bit.

>>5916687
>So some of the females have more or less range?
Females in general have less range of motion:
-The hips joints typically have a smaller range.
-They usually have no waist/lower torso articulation, only an upper torso ball joint of quite limited range.
-They usually have single jointed elbows (plus some form of bicep swivel, of course).
>>
>>5916943
Oh, and females also tend to lack any sort of extra shoulder joint that some of the guys have (the clavicle joint).

>What figures did you guys miss at retail?

None for years.

I preorder everything...that I can. Ever since online stores started offering the line I've just bought everything online. Everything that I can't preorder, like exclusives, I find myself or have one of my several friends around the country pick it up for me.

The best thing you can have in this hobby is friends all around the country to help you out. Some areas get some stuff in abundance while others hardly get anything.

The last stuff that I missed out for ML was Toy Biz's Wave 7 that had Apocalypse in it. Wave 6 and Wave 7 back then hit retail at almost the same time and lots of areas including mine never got the wave. That's when I started to make connections with other collectors so we could help each other out.
>>
>>5916998
>TRU exclusive

It was also available to online retailers like BBTS and EE. If you wanted one all you had to do was buy a set from BBTS. Lots of people were idiots and thought that the wave would be easy to find so they decided to not pay the small markup on BBTS and EE, which was like 1 or 2 dollars for each figure, and save a few dollars by buying them at TRU. The problem though was that the distribution on these was shit and some stores got whole endcaps while others got none.

The really funny thing was that BBTS was warned by Hasbro that they couldn't get their full preorder allotment so BBTS put out warnings to customers that their orders might not be fulfilled. When the wave arrived, BBTS had more than enough and even had extras. The wave was in stock for almost 2 weeks on their site.

TRU does this too sometimes, so this isn't sound logic.

I think some collectors just like to fuck themselves, the thrill of the hunt, finding a good deal, it triggers the reward center of their brain lime gambling does. Others want none of that and just want the figures.

Coulson worked ok, so did Maria Hill.

May could use Maria Hill body, Quake could use standard girl body, presumably FitzSimmons wouldn't get any sort of figures so there's no need for those.

Sorry to invade your thread with newfag questions, but i'm not really into marvel and dont keep up with releases and such. I'm looking for a few figures for my cousins birthday, she like Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, and Bruce Banner (not Hulk) best. She likes the comics and movies. One's that aren't too pricey would be good because I want her to be able to have fun with them and not worry about damaging them (her brother is legit retarded too, so will probably feed them to the dog or himself at some point idk).

Are there any nice Hawkeyes out there, a lot that i've seen in stores look kind of crappy/ridiculously roided up?
Do Banner figures exist? I havent seen any in store
And what Winter Soldier ones are good?

She doesn't have any figures at the moment so any recommendations would help since they won't be doubles. Thanks in advance
>>
>>5917380
What figure is this? It's not the Legends from what I can tell.
>>
>>5917471
There's an Amazon exclusive 4 pack with MCU Banner, Hawkeye, Thor, and Black Widow that you can still get for about ~$100.

I remember this, but forgot it because of this:

>The really funny thing was that BBTS was warned by Hasbro that they couldn't get their full preorder allotment so BBTS put out warnings to customers that their orders might not be fulfilled.

Pretty sure it was available through Previews but a lot of people never got them. Also, they went up for preorder on TRU.com during a ridiculous sale so people bought a fuck load, which apparently screwed some people's orders and some TRU stores.

>>
>>5917581
How did they do that shit? Even for underpaid retail workers, I feel like someone would notice some dude saying "Hey, these figures are defective" or some shit and every figure being the same, how did they get by the employee(s)? Why did someone buy 5 Rhodeys in the first place?
This picture raises too many questions
>>
>>5917581

Some scalper fag who bought 5 hulkbuster cases obviously. They couldn't see off the extra WM at a profit so they're making walmart each the cost.
>>
>>5917581
Saw that shit just the other day, somebody stuffed a Janet in a spidergirl box. Had chafed up chipped paint titties and everything i was laughin my dick off... didn't think that shit was real.
>>
>>5917639
WM2 was 2 to a case in a hulkbuster revision, so there's more of him floating around. Also, hasbro was selling him for 6 bucks on their ebay page a couple days ago, so depending on how recent this pic is he might have bought a bunch specifically to swap.

Hasbro needs to go back to plastic clam shells. Boxes are nice for collectors but shit fucks ruin it for every body else. NECA's plastic packaging for their figs would be ideal. Their boxes are getting hit as well. Found a T2 police station assualt Arny, but someone gutted all the weapons. Fuck that shit.

No Black Panthers? That's weird, there should be two of him and Cap in every case.

>>
>>5917380
Most people who've been buying Hasbro toys for the past 8 years know how great their sculpts are. It's mostly online people who don't, since sculpted details don't stand out when brightly lit photos cause the glossy plastic to refplect the light and 2d photos generally don't allow details to stand out.

These are 1:18 figures and 99.33% of the details are still there in the production figures.

Finally found someone good from the xmen wave: Rogue. Found her a t a Walmart 45 minutes from my town.
