For those who need new joints before the Poly set releases, you'll need Grey Hobby Base Ball Shape Joints (Part number PPC-Tn11).

Also here is the loose joint fix steps if anybody need 'em. If the joints seem to tight just use a hair dryer on the joint for few seconds and it should loosen up. You could also dip the piece in hot/boiled water for a couple of seconds to loosen it as well.

I'm shipping out the kit tomorrow to GK-M. Unfortunately the guy I was working with to try and get completed recasts out to people has been rather inconvenienced, so for now if you want a recast you're probably just going to have to grab an unfinished one from GK-M itself when they manage to start putting out recasts.

I'm pretty sure my Mel has the wandering eye thing, but also the other faces are a bit misprinted as well. I emailed daibadi about it, but does anyone know if they do support for overseas? Even with that said, I'm still happy with the improvement in QC. Hope it is even better with the November releases and onwards.

Does anyone think the white Shamrock and clover will ever get a reissue after the greys? I have hope since Yume got a reissue. I might pick up a couple of greys though.

I'm thinking more about it now. I think they would have to do a reissue at some point because of the omitting of the panel lines in the line now along with the change in coat finish. It would be strange not to I think. But considering that you can add the panel lines yourself, maybe they won't. But yeah, I hope so too.

Just got my first Diabadi and its not even a polynian, even though I've had my eye on them for a long time

Found her for 2,500 yen on Mandarake, at that price I couldn't pass it up, definitely worth it for testing the waters. She came in pretty much brand new, all seals intact, couldn't tell you where the "box damage" was.

I'm surprised by how finicky the joints can be, there's a lot of weird twisting you have to do to get them where you can use them. Her head comes off very easily and her neck joint is tilted and I'm not sure if its fixable. She's hella cute but I can safely say the original price tag is wayy too much, though I understand Daibadi can't help that. What I paid for her is a steal though, I'd say she's definitely worth it up to the 4k mark, 5-6k isn't bad but past that you' better have money to spare.

No, but you can do panel lining with a mechanical pencil and a damp piece of paper towel if you make a mistake.

Clover arrived today! I was wary of buying a pre-owned figure but there's almost no difference besides a very slight smoky smell to the box, which i'm sure will go away soon.

I think i'm going to need to tighten the joints, though- One of her shoulder joints fell apart when i tried to move it.

Also, is there a way to make the mid-torso piece fit better? There's a very small gap that's clearly not just the natural seam and it's driving me crazy.

pretty sure that's caused by the balljoint peg going through it being too long, trim 1-2mm off and should be okay. Some other anon will give you a second opinion in case I'm talking out of my ass.

It's one of two things: the peg too long but this is unlikely as they are made specifically for this. If you're trimming them don't over do it. The other thing is the casting is not very good. Sometimes flashes are too large and parts don't fit so nicely. I had a shamrock for a year since the first rerun and only last week I sanded it a bit.

I found out that rubber balloons turn to sticky shit in presence of heat, oil or sunlight. Leave them on for just a couple of days and you should be fine.

Are one of the joints from the joint set an elbow joint? I broke a joint on one of my other figures and Polynian elbow joint is a perfect replacement. And I guess having some backups for my actual Polynians would be nice.

Something was just really fucky with the grey releases. I didn't buy into people saying they had a bunch of QC errors either, and my Shamrock came with one of the knee joints fused solid. I'm waiting on a new joint pack in the mail, but it was just such a bizarre error.

Took some time to dryfit the Daibadi Tengen Toppa Solvernia kit I've had on the backburners forever, casting quality is superb, everything fits together lovely with well placed pour tabs.
Just held together with blu-tack for now.
got one bubble in the hair piece to fill before the joy of wetsanding some seamlines, mainly on the weapons, and prepping her for paint.
I've got the Tengen Toppa Yoko SP kit to match too

They're from a visual novel that Daibadi is making. Clover and Shamrock were bio-androids from space. If I remember right, a war between humans and Polynians arises but it eventually ends when Clover gets pregnant from a human man (an initial mistranslation said it was also Shamrock who got preggers and so mpreg Shamrock is a meme with the fans). The VN takes place like 100yrs after the war where Polynians and human co-exist as a society. Yume, Mel, Emil, and Vania are the modern-day Polynians who have assimilated with human society and have clothing-armor and gear.
