Favorite childhood toys thread?
I had two of these that I got one Christmas when my parents divorced when I was a kid. I had a ton of extra sets with more knights and the expansions. I would always make grand epic wars between the Golds and Silvers against the Black/Red/Blues.

Also had the Sherwood Forest and Dragon Pirate boat so I could mix those in as well. Had the old west too, but they didn't fit in.

No question, I loved this figure so much. These were so ahead of their time.

It's amazing how this survived all these years with MOST of it's pieces still around

Would bring it to my parent's country house/time share, friend's house for sleep overs. Long after TMNT was dead, it would be my base for Marvel/DC toys, later Spawn, ect.

Good times.......

I did the same stuff my nigga. Did you have the Dragon Tower, that came with that one buff as hell knight? He was my favorite, because everybody else used weapons, but he just had his gauntlets.

One time I set up the knights outside for a battle then took a power washer to them for some reason. All of the brown/red Fire knights got broken to pieces, but everybody else was fine oddly enough.

>>5894385
goddamn hitting me with all the nostalgia today, exo-force was that toyline that I only had one figure of, but would look at the rest on the card from the packaging and wish.

Now, anybody else have these dudes? By far the most poseable things I owned when I was little.

Brother and I had a huge amount of these wooden train stuff. We would spend hours setting up tracks that took up our entire room.
>>
>>5894672
I did have the tower. It had a black gate on the front and shot red arrows? And he had these big hands and an open gauntlet? Red hair?
>>
>>5894672
It's one of the figures from The Corps!, they repainted them several times. No clue which general era that one is from.
>>
>>5894753
That's the one. I have all my castle stuff in the Attic, Pirate and Mummy stuff too. I really should dust them off for this thread. Also the computer games.

Did you have the forest as well?

Oh man I got a gold one of these guys forever ago for $1 and a bike.
He's just been "future 90's Chrome man" to me.

BritBong here, I'm 23 and since we didn't really have Joes here, I had the Corps! Those rubber band crotch ones AND the newer T crotch ones that were all military realism.

The one like in your pic.. I remember having like 4 different types of that space type armour, they came in a small circular space shuttle thing!

I used to make my figures have in depth political wars. As toys though. The Corps! Would rule the roost as they were the most articulated and humours, they would rule over the Playmobil, Lego, action men (even though they were bigger - they were stupid, the Corps! Used them like big muscle slaves to win the wars).

Until the Joes showed up (same time as the power team elite, who were just grunts that the Joes used to win the war..).

This has been going on In my head for years, now the Acid Rain Figures rule the roost, but the Bossfight HACKS are now colluding with the joes and Marauder task force figures to overthrow the Acid Rain Figure Tyranny..

Anywho, I also had that castle in OPs pic back in the day!

Your parents threw it away behind your back, fuckers. I think we are getting a new one pretty soon.

In the UK Action Man was GI Joe. In the 90s Hasbro bought the AM brand and tried to make both brands work together.

YES, the Dragon Tower was the great siege weapon, and the two Dragon Knights were mercenaries hired by the black army to help them take the castle!
Did you any of you have these guys? They were always my 3 Heroes, like the D&D group that was defending the castle. I think one of my first D&D characters was based off the red knight, actually.
>>
Not exactly childhood but I still cannot believe I got my very own.
>>
>>5901206
I had a whole set of each. Had about 10 red and blue and maybe 8 silvers. Had about 12 Blacks and Golds and the dragon mercenaries.
Was that the actual story on them?

There was a vague story, I remember some kids book about the dragon knights but I don't think they really established they were mercenaries or anything like that.
>>
>>5895194
Amazing. Can you tell me more about this toyline?
I would have loved that as a kid.
>>
Anyone remember these?

>>5902678
I recall them being really cheap and having quite a lot of them. But that was like 25 years ago.

I had all of these. Even the jousting ones, even the McDonalds black knight who only had one arm articulated and was obviously lower-quality than everybody else.

I also had this Viking dude. My dad would do his voice, and he would make fun of all the other figures for wearing pants and armor and stuff, saying they weren't as manly as him, too afraid to get hurt, and call them "pantsy-wantses".

The fire and ice guys were some of my favorites, though my top picks had to go to the purple guys who came with the Wizard. Also loved the pirate line, pic related sub was my favorite, and even the later lines like the magic lion castle and the pyramid were badass.

>>
>>5894383
I, too, had one of these. Mine was more construction-themed, and had a crane, dumpster and a mine-cart. Also had a little mine entrance that I used to pretend was the secret exit for the Batcave.

>>5894590
Sadly, this is one of the few toys of my childhood that I explicitly decided to throw out myself. It had gotten stored in the shed, but moisture had gotten to it and absolutely wrecked all the stickers, and some pieces had gone missing. I still do have the green pipes, somewhere. Those were fun as hell.
>>
>>5902680
>>5902678
They are Jean Hoefler knights. I have a couple still. They usually go for .50 cents to 2-3 dollars a piece easily depending on condition and the like.

I still have some and pick them up when I can. They are some fun and weirdly proportioned pieces.

>>5894377
I loved this castle as a kid. It is what really got me into toy soldier collecting. I would set up huge battles with this as the center piece.

The castle was tossed by my rents years ago(Sad day) but I still have a lot of the knights in a box someplace.

I had a friend who lives in europe for a few years and they would get all the sweet toys like 2 years after we did, so he cane back with a bunch of g1 transformers and these bad boys, to this day some of the fucking coolest toys in the world
>>
>>5895777
No, wasn't aware of it's existence. Did you have it?
>>
>>5894383
Wow, I think I had one of these.
>>

Ahhh, memories. Of course I was a retarded child and destroyed it.
>>
>>5894377
Man I had the castle, forrest hideout, and pirateship one of these, loved them. Still have them but most of the accessories and a few figures were lost. Were there more then those three?
>>
>>5910326
Oh my man, what you missed..

The OG castle is still the best, but there was stuff like a western town(a whole town with multiple buildings and shit) and this badass pyramid with adventurers vs mummies and snakes, another castle featuring a more magical bend (wizards), and multiple pirate ships and pirate island and yeah. Lots of stuff.
>>
>>5910270
Of course you did, I'm clearly an idiot.

This faget

He remains one of my coolest and favourite toys
