before bandai reissued him, he was easily obtainable for msrp everywhere. they also reissued figures like figuarts kamen rider chalice along with him, another example of a useless reissue (you could get him below msrp still)

bandai gets a lot of flak because they never bother reissuing things that actually do need one. figuarts kamen rider knight (goes for 11,000~ new, no way it'd get reissued at this point) and ultra-act ultraman dyna (13,000~ new) comes to mind on figures that genuinely need reissues but never had any.

I swear it was May when shit started hitting the fan, delays for no apparent reason (Chibimoon and Yoshi were hit HARD by this), figures like Ultimate Gohan, SSBlu Goku, Sailor V, Sailor Pluto and Golden Frieza put in the listings as coming out far too early then having the orders forcibly cancelled when those dates creeped closer much to the chagrin of people who put those orders in months in advance.

Their social media presence is all but gone, I can never tell when new figures will go up because they don't announce it ahead of time very often anymore (They put posts up for Cell and Gohan, but those have been the only ones for like ages.)

Personally, if you don't mind waiting a little longer I'd suggest going for MH Toy Shop when they open pre-orders, you have to put 20% of the price down on pre-order (or you can pay it off and pay shipping when it comes in) but their prices are really good. Almost AmiAmi tier levels of low prices on some items.

Yeah, around that time. Me and a lot of my friends had all our Bluefin items cancelled on Amazon, usually just days before release, or in my case two weeks after. I'd even gotten the shipping notification, so I was right fucked. Not sure if it's gotten better on Amazon, but if you have a Barnes and Noble near you they're very good about having the Sailor Moon and DBZ stuff. BBTS is also decent for Bluefin items as well, they have their Premium Colors Cell up for the same MSRP Bluefin has listed on their FB page.

I'm a longtime Figuarts collector, but I've only recently developed an interest in SW. How is ROTJ Luke? It seems like he's going for around 7k JPY on Manda which doesn't seem too bad all things considered, but is he worth it? ANH Luke looks neat, but a bit dead eyed. Also, am I missing out by skipping the first release bonus that came with Darth Vader?

I got him for about that price after the reissue fiasco, and I'd say he's just barely worth it. He has the right joints, but they're frustratingly limited in their range. Like, he's got the shoulder cutouts so he can twohand his lightsaber, but he can barely cross his arms in front of him. He's also got some really weird proportions going on; specifically his torso feels super tall. He's still hands down the best 6' version of that costume, so if you want it you want it. He just feels lackluster next to some recent figuarts like bruce and even other star wars stuff.

Well, there's the actual WWE wrestlers they're doing that are starting to come out in December. The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin, with a Triple H also shown not that long ago as I recall. The first two are out in December and seem to have Kinnikuman style bodies posability wise.

Sage Naruto in the house! If you were hesitant about getting this one because the first was so shit you're definitely gonna want to get this.
It's basically an awakening goku with comparisons between the mold quality, fixed the issue with the butt pouch, added his thigh holster, face actually looks like Naruto, colors are brighter.

lost four hands and a face for the rasenshuriken and better quality figure. The hands from the first do fit on the pegs for sage naruto but there is a color difference which I'll show in my next post. There is also a stand included for the shuriken which is cool.

Yeah the old hands are a bit more orange than the sage ones but it's not super different. The torso is a little restricted with the little bit of time I had with it but every other joints is great and smooth. I imagine they'll do a cloak version next to go with a pein after Itachi releases.

Yeah the Sage Mode figure isn't too bad. Would like for another release of it though to get more non-SM faces.

As far as Naruto stuff, with Rock Lee confirmed for March, we can probably expect Sakura soon too.
Hopefully we can get some new prototypes from TN next month. Really want Pain, Gaara, and Killer Bee.

but it is though, the figure is way more show accurate and is built better than the previous version. Everything awakening goku did for the Dbz line this naruto will do for this line and it can be used for another basic naruto release unlike awakening. With their recent jump in quality and ability to translate characters to figures I'd really like them to try one piece again. This is just my opinion so if you feel different that's fine but my hope for this line are looking good, it just needs some more support from bandai to make it great.

Gaim is in a weird spot. It did well enough for 2 V-Cinemas and could have taken on a 3rd if they really wanted. It also had a unique helmet set that was nice and costly compared to cheap mask lines.

Most of the figuart prototypes Gaim has can be ignored. 2 movie Apples wouldn't do well at this point, Ichigo/Kiwi/Peko/Dark are kitbashes that probably wouldn't get enough attention. The ones worth paying attention to would be Apple Baron, Dragonfruits Duke, Jam, and Suika Arms. Duke and Baron seem like such easy sells and Suika would be a nice mark up item that I'm surprised they haven't done those.
