"Shinjuku Showdown" 1984 Godzilla is being released in the 30cm X-Plus line, it's basically the previous release with a darker shade, and light up dorsal plates for the special RIC edition.

Well.. There IS a rampage movie in the works, so I guess it really depends on what direction they take the movie and how they wanna market it, with what merch.
Out of those 2, I'd rather see NECA get the license, just because I feel like we'd get more out of them (Movie appearance, Video game appearance, 8bit variant)

I'm just kinda bummed it's gonna star The Rock, cus I feel like with a big name like that the movie's just gonna focus on him being a bad ass action star fighting the monsters, rather than the story of the monsters and the people who turn into them. I don't get why everyone is acting like the design all lays on Anno. Higuchi had as big a role on this as him, and his new godzilla does look like it takes a few cues from the creatures of his terrible attack on Titan movie.

Regardless of the design and all the Ham-fisted buzzword crap, the movie will probably be good, the first godzilla since like 1984 to touch on big contemporary nuclear things happening, and looks to have a lot more substance than any big budget action thing coming out of Hollywood right now

America and Russia were willing to use their nukes on japan against godzilla mostly if not entirely to test out their nuclear arsenal. Male Muto could have two sets of winged arms with one being the flapping pose and the other for walking with just soft plastic flaps overlapping but not connected between the walking arms and body. I'm wanting to do a watch-through of the Toho Kaiju-verse. I know all the Godzilla movies, but what are the other essential movies to add in? I know Rodan and Mothra have their own films before they get to go up against Godzilla, for instance.

Review wise it was a hit on release, and while you shouldn't put too much value into opening night, I've heard nothing about a dip in positive reception since then, unlike say Batman VS Superman that was a hit on release but eventually plummeted.

X-Plus Kamacuras is in the 25cm line, which cost roughly around $85 i.e. your average Monsterarts nowadays.

I'd say the 25cm line is pretty good for collecting highly detailed figures on a budget, I know a few people that "main" them over the larger 30cm. The former cost less, takes up less space, with detail almost as good, and honestly, some of the 25cm figures capture the look of a certain monster/just look better than the larger counterpart.
