Who else is going to buy two so that they can have a deadite Ash and a farewell to arms Ash?
Maybe if the eyes didn't make it look like a cartoon. Disappointed and an easy pass now.
>>5872277
i want the mounted Buck...
where to find?
>>5872347
It'll probably come with the Ultimate Hero ash, like the original one did.
>>5872280
>implying Bruce Campbell isn't a living cartoon character
>basically miss the bus on Ultimate Leatherface and Part 6 Jason
Holy shit am I glad I'm not a fan of Texas Chainsaw Massacre or the sixth Friday the 13th movie.
>>5872277
I've got the originals, but I do plan on buying this one. Looks like the Linda head is the solid pupils variant, which is good, cause I have the white eyes version from the original release!
>>5872416
Speaking of the Ultimate... series? Line? Are all of the 30th Anniversary Freddy's on ebay from China legit?
>>5872401
The old Ash figures look like an actual human. This reused young Ash is goofy as fuck.
>>5872451
>is goofy as fuck.
That's how he looked when he was younger, yes, that's correct.
How are the Police Assault Terminator's arms for posing? They look pretty limited.
>>5872750
They let the Terminator look like he's shooting. So, exactly like the movie.
>>5872446
QC rejects and surplus.
>>5872750
Doubt you'll be able to pull off the "shotgun on the shoulder" look.
>>5872280
This. I never liked the head sculpt on the NECA Ash's, maybe I'll just get geezer ash instead.
>>5873280
I don't get why this needs to be repeated in varying closeups and flips. It all seems so superfluous.
Simply a loop of one view shaking his head "No" will get the point across that you dont want to buy NECA quite adequately
>>5873280
Outright stating it isn't.
>>5873441
Because then it wouldn't be "le so fannay maymay."
Warning to anyone who's ordered or is considering getting Ultimate Gipsy Danger - there have been several reports (including mine) of the elbow joint being broken straight out of the packaging, so watch out for that. If you have a spare Gipsy using the HKB molds, you can always use the elbow joints from it as replacements.
>>5873399
>Which is never a real answer.
Sure it is. He points the gun, he shoots the gun. Rinse and repeat.
>>5873399
Ah. Maybe if the bike has ape-hangers.
>>5873766
If that's all a Terminator toy needed to do they wouldn't have bothered releasing an updated version since the original release achieved that just fine.
>>5873886
You're right it did. This release is pretty superfluous.
I think I'll get one more set, and that'll be enough.
>>5874028
Awe cute babies. Needs some Ripley.
>>5872454
No, it's an awful face sculpt. Really glad I'm not into Evil Dead. if they did a Brisco County Jr figure that looked this bad I'd be bouncing off the walls with rage.
>>5874028
Thought they were pole dancing for a second
>>5872280
>>5872451
>>5874468
>I haven't seen the movie
Shame they're not including some new heads. I'd really like one of him laughing madly.
When is AvED Ash supposed to be coming out? Seems like it was announced ages ago.
Yes, Bruce looked different when he was younger
There's just something off about the eyes and mouth for this figure though
I'm more inclined to buy AvED Bruce honestly
>>5874537
They said it'd be October, pretty sure it was on Twitter. Maybe when they revealed the box art.
Can't find that tweet, but found this
https://twitter.com/HMZHorror/status/758216990314102784
Is neca releasing micheal keaton batman in 1/12 scale now
>>5874774
>in 1/12 scale
Nope.
>>5874028
Is there a way to put water in them? Without damaging the electronics of course.
>>5875014
Apparently, yes! There's lots of pics on twitter of people having filled them with water.
>>5875014
>>5875042
I see. Never thought to look on bbts
Hyped
>>5875272
Is that just the cinemachine photoshopped or are they actually doing a full size Space Jockey?
>>5875293
Full scale - all 7 inches
http://news.toyark.com/2016/08/25/neca-teasing-alien-space-jockey-7-inch-scale-release-219335
>>5875329
Oh dear.
I do believe my penis has exploded, and my wallet is attempting to hang itself.
>>5875336
I'm sorry for your losses
>>5875272
could seriously do with a fresh coat of paint
thankfully it's super easy to recreate Giger's ascetic
>>5875272
Who's the blue suit?
>>5875399
Lambert, who has yet to be released.
>>5875272
yep, i'll never be able to pay for that...
>>5875272
>The Fossilized Space Jockey is made of hand-painted foam rubber and latex with all the details you see in the movie.
Err, why? Those aren't exactly materials known for longevity...
>>5875014
this dude does it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59dF9FZ1Ets
>>5875429
Probably the only way to do that kind of thing, keeping it under a certain price, etc.
>>5875272
NEAT
>>5875272
320 dollars on bbts, so much for that.
>>5875458
That's an easy save up though, honestly. A little here, a little there...
>>5875272
Please NECA. Please re-release Deacon.
>>5875539
Is he hard to find now?
Also they don't have the Prometheus license anymore, but they do have the Alien Covenant one
BBTS fulfilled my preorder for the Contra figs. I'll have them later because I can wait and have other stuff on preorder, but
>>5875587
Mine are showing up tomorrow. I ordered from the ebay store though.
>>5873441
To make it obnoxious/ridiculous so it sticks out in your head. That is the ultimate goal of a meme. A real meme. Not what normies think memes are.
NECA needs to do more robots....
>>5875993
That's what I'd think. Perhaps a silicone gel? I'm not sure.
>>5875587
Saw them in stores yesterday. They look like absolute shit. On top of the colors being wrong, all of the Bill Rizer (red dude) eyes were cross-eyed.
>>5875272
>in-scale
lol no
>>5876507
It is in scale. Try posting the rest of the images from that scene instead of the scale shots with the children in the space suits to MAKE the thing look bigger than it actually was.
>>5876507
>not knowing the jockey's scale varies between shots
n00b
>>5876560
That'd be a miracle. Not even Hot Toys could get his likeness.
So I got a used Cracked Tusk recently and his right hand won't pop on. I thought it was the hand but I tried an alt hand I had and it didn't go on either, so I think the ball joint is slightly sunk in. Any tips on how to get it out a little and get a hand on?
>>5876720
Boil a little water, dunk a moment, should soften it to pull on it or whatever.
>>5876560
NECA said on Twitter that nothing has changed with getting Jonh Hurt's likeness. At this point in time, it seems like the best bet is to pick up another pressure suit figure, swap heads, and paint the faceplate black.
>>5875539
The Deacon was a poorly articulated figure. Almost a statue.
>>5876922
Nice figure though, but it would be done better nowadays. Then again, Prometheus doesn't deserve much better.
>>5876001
Man that Gipsy looks really nice. I need to get one.
>>5876918
> the best bet is to pick up another pressure suit figure, swap heads, and paint the faceplate black
Or you could post him facing away from front view.
>>5877314
>post
pose*
Got my Contra figs today. And they are...Dutch. So, they're awesome. But they're Dutch. I love the paint jobs, I love the faces, and I love those neat guns you can kind of customize as you see fit.
Really great set.
>>5877261
If you get one, beware of its faulty right elbow. Peg is too big for the ring in the joint, resulting the ring to break.
With that said, it's basically broken in final assembly before being packaged....
>>5875429
No shit. This thing will be garbage in a few years especially if you happen to put your hands on it. The acid from your fingers will start doing its dirty work.
I seriously could not have been that much more to make the Space Jockey out of normal plastic so it will have a proper shelf life and not melt into goo.
>>5877345
Didn't randy with some bitch on twitter ramblebrag how all that will be a lifetime durable and shit? Meh
>>5877351
Randy said it should last 20+ years with proper care, while figures will outlive us all.
>>5877452
Yep...for the most part this is true. I mean we still have toys from the 70s around. Of course some of them are in worse shape than others, but...
>>5877324
They own.
I take it 17.99 is a mistake on tru part for the contra figures?
I found them tonight and that is what they rang up for in store, I thought this was a $40 set?
>>5877809
Theyre honoring it.
Ended up getting cloaking Nova, Couldn't wait for the next series so i bought this to tide me over.
>>5877809
Yeah that was a weird mistake. But if you can get them for that price, more power to you dude.
Is there differences between the new ultimate edition Gipsy and the 2.0?
I have the boat version and the original, but the ultimate looks to have pretty much everything except the boat and I'm wondering if it's worth it.
>>5878664
New and better hips, and seemingly, sturdier feets. If that's not a selling point for you, then you're fine without it. Unless you want the light up feature too.
>>5878668
I'm torn between it and just waiting on the plamo.
Found this stuck behind some Waracraft Movie figs at TRU. I kept passing on him until his price doubled. I guess I lucked out or found someone's stashed figure. Any chance NECA will also make they're Catwoman and Penguin in 7" scale?
>>5878705
There's always a chance, not that they'd admit to it. I'm hoping and praying for both of those as smaller figures though, too.
>>5878705
Well, they can only make 7" DC figures as part of BluRay release tie-ins, so if another Batman movie with Catwoman or Penguin releases, then maybe thay can.
>>5878081
>those eyes
The team is finally complete.
>>5878763
>as part of BluRay release tie-ins
8bit as well.
My Gypsy 2.0 can't stand with his weak ass ankles.
Does Ultimate Gypsy fix this problem?
>>5879004
Mmhmm.
>>5878832
>tfw sold crimson because the line is doing great, surely a 2.0 is right around the corner
What's up yous homos...
>>5879004
Ultimate Gipsy has wider feet and better ankles. Combine that with the improved hips and he stands like a champ.
>>5878705
You didn't luck out, NECA started shipping them to TRU stores consistently for the past couple of months without the bluray. I've seen the Ledger Joker recently too.
>>5878832
Aw yeah! I got Ultimate Gipsy last week, and just got Crimson in the mail. Having all them bots, feels good man.
>>5879369
Well it's about damn time.
Next gimme tacticool Machiko to go with him.
>>5877802
Okay, that's pretty fucking neat. Might actually pick them up, never got to play Contra nor was I really interested in the figures but damn if that pic alone doesn't make me want them!
>>5880234
I just found this particular issue about 3 weeks ago at a local LCS.
Yeah, I could have gotten it online, but like the Predators, I myself enjoy the thrill of the hunt.
This particular series has some of my favorite covers out of all the Alien/Predator comics.
>>5880195
>>5880200
I fucking love it. I still have the first Cult Classics release so I get to display this new one with the display base the old one came with.
It sucks how it's not getting ultimate packaging. I'm gonna have Part 1 and 3 Freddy, Part VI and Part III Jason, Ash and Leatherface all with their ultimate boxes displayed behind them, Kinda like it's horror character museum, but then there's new nightmare Freddy. He's gonna have nothing. It ruins the consistency. I just want a really nice looking display,
>>5880367
Extremely soon. That's a guy that got a hold of one early.
Anybody else use Bandai Tamashii Stage stands for their TF2 figures? I can get most of them holding up nicely, but I can't figure out a good way to get the Soldier standing.
You knoe which version of Ahnuld needs a NECA?
Maybe with that sci-fi Chun-Li expy?
>>5879369
Wait a sec, is that Broken Tusk? Wasn't it supposed to be some funky GITD Predator?
>>5880690
The Glow in the Dark one is Stalker Pred. One of the Kenner figures.
They have pretty similar armor, though. Especially that chestplate with the Xeno face on it.
>>5880602
Yes. Ball joint underneath
>>5880794
Cool, thanks. I will probably pick it up, Neca is pretty good with the thin overlays.
Will the Space Jockey diorama float? Might make a cool pool decoration
>>5880857
>pool decoration
What?
>>5880736
So, are they gonna do both of them?
>>5880956
Its made of foam
>>5880967
Yes.
>NECA makes New Nightmare Freddy
>They refuse to make Friday the 13th Part V Roy
This bums me out. I guess it's cus the MEGO Roy didn't sell well enough or something? I hate that's what it comes to. But also, when they released Roy that was early in the MEGO style releases, with their type 1 body, when they had horrible articulation and terribly fit clothes. Look at pic related, I mean, c'mon? Can you blame it for not selling?
There are so many characters they do in the MEGO style that I want, but don't buy cus I'm personally not into collecting 8" dolls that don't fit in with my other NECAs, and have awkwardly fitting clothes. I can't be the only one. I get most of those characters are too obscure to justify fully sculpting and tooling though.
I just feel like if they sold a bloodied up Roy, it'd sell like all the other Jasons, I mean casuals who are looking to get a horror killer figure won't know shit about him not being the real Jason until after they buy it and take of the mask, and F13th collectors will buy it regardless.
And New Nightmare Freddy was more of a controversy/risk when it comes to those series. But I understand Freddy sells more in general. Can't wait for the figure, looks like it'd be one of their best Freddy's yet. Too bad it's not an ultimate release.
God damn, NECA me love you long time.
I'm WAY more into aliens than predators, but I need at least one or two pred just for completion's sake.
So what would you say is the best or just your favorite Neca predator?
>>5882931
Wait for the Ultimate Jungle Hunter that's coming soon. That's about as quintessential Predator as they get.
>>5882928
>Buy this figure you don't want and MAYBE if theres enough of you, you can get this figure that you want
Lame ass logic I know, but it's not like figures of Chop Top from TCM2 are gonna be selling out during it's preorder days
>>5882929
FUCK theyre out? I thought that wasnt gonna be till mid september?
>>5882939
Packaging samples, they're still slated for Sept.
>>5882929
>value stop ash pic is just photoshopped hero ash pic
Is there neca batman worth buying
>>5883292
All of them really. I'm assuming you mean the big ones? Then yeah.
>>5883307
Is there one worth buying though
>>5880414
I have him in a normal neca base, but you would say that is a boring standing with a rocket launcher stand.
>>5882931
I started with the Dark Horse 25th Predator, I love his bright blue, pale body and blood red colour scheme. Bad Blood is pretty great and probably has one of the best unmasked Predator heads. Big Red is neat but obviously weird.
If you want some Preds who specifically fight Aliens, any of the AVP guys are made for it and are all very similar, just figure out what accessories you like the best.
Saw the Dark Knight Joker in stores recently, worth buying?
>>5883702
Do you like Dark Knight Joker on a 7" scale?
I dont think it have any big issues like other figures, so if you are interested you should be fine.
>>5883702
My Joker's right leg popped off, apparently it's a common thing.
So if you do get him, watch out for that
Anyone know where I can get a 7" Jungle hunter without getting butt fucked on price? Or am I going to have to buy a knockoff from china
>>5883985
Just wait a couple more months for the ultimate version.
Did I miss the boat for Pacific Rim stuff?
I want the Leatherback and maybe Otachi but I'm passing on the Mechs, I hear most of them are a pain in the ass.
>>5884470
Those Kaiju are great but expect to pay at least 80+ for each one.
>>5884470
Eh you're missing out on some good ones if you do that.
Otachi might still be in stock on tru's site, but yeah, Knifehead and some others might be difficult to grab now.
So I'm assuming there's no word on alternate faces for their 1/4 Deadpool? (oh who am I kidding)
I'm REALLY not feeling the squint eye as a default. This is actually super disappointing for what it is.
>>5884563
I really like it. It gives him some character right off the bat. It's a good decision, at least one that makes sense overall.
>>5884776
If both eyes were squint it wouldn't bother me, but one eye? It just stands out too much for me.
>>5884782
But...that's the expression he makes. Often.
Also Aliens series 9 is on the Ebay store! Vasquez, rape mouth albino, and black guy!
>>5884470
Land otachi and leatherback are getting expensive nowadays, and I really wouldn't even recommend leatherback when he was new, he's basically a brick. Both otachi's are solid however, and the winged one is still pretty close to retail.
Don't sleep on the jaegers though, striker 2.0, horizon brave, and romeo blue are all pretty great and should be easy to get. Romeo in particular came out of nowhere and was one of my favorite figures of the year. Cherno is the star of the line and a no brainer if you can find a deal.
>>5884988
>and I really wouldn't even recommend leatherback when he was new, he's basically a brick.
I don't care about articulation honestly.
>>5876922
The shoulders were honestly the one disappointment in articulation. I understand Deacon is only on screen for 30sec and doesn't do much, but they could have at least given him some ball-hinges. The feet were the only other engineering failures of the figure. Crouching on the balls of his feet DOES recreate the scene but does nothing else for alternate posing. Fingers crossed we see Deacon again (or others) in Aliens Covenant.
>>5885014
Then get the x plus, its amazing
Do the Isolation xeno and series 2 Big Chap have any advantages over each other?
>>5885236
Big Chap's accurate to the film. Isolation is accurate to the game. Meaning the legs mostly, it kinda depends on what you want out of your creature.
But no, one isn't necessarily better than the other, it's just about which design you think you'd be happier with in the end.
>>5885241
Thanks. Figured they were about the same but wanted to be sure.
>>5885246
Iso Xeno is harder to stand without its base.
Do you guys like the Ultimate T800? Any known QC issue?
Saw the Ultimates of both T1 and T2 in a store yesterday and thought they looked awesome, cosidering grabbing one.
>>5887014
Great figures. Definitely pick them up. The T2 one's weapons get a little smooshed in the packaging so they'll need some heat to pop back into place, but otherwise, super good figure.
>>5887014
I've got the T2 figure. I really like him.
Some people don't like that his knees can't go perfectly straight, there's always a slight bend like in the pic on the box there. Can't think of any natural-looking poses that would cause problems with though.
>>5887037
>They covers the penis with a sticker
Lol
>>5887053
>Some people don't like that his knees can't go perfectly straight
I don't get this, they can. Maybe yours are just too stiff, but yeah, they can go straight no problem.
>>5887057
Yep, they did the same with the rape squid! The 'penis' was covered by the silver TRU exclusive sticker.
I'm very confused when it comes to licensing. Does Neca have the license to and plans to comics? I'm reading Predator vs. Dredd vs. Aliens and these predator designs are pretty awesome. I love the xeno chest armor and the one on the left has a great frontline soldier vibe.
>>5887238
I'm pretty sure Neca has the rights to do anything and everything from Alien and Predator, unless it requires an actor's likeness.
>>5887014
Excellent figure. The weapons are warped out of package, like previously mentioned. I'd really like an in-scale bike for him to sit on. I made a little flower box to hide the shotgun in, though.
>>5887242
>I'd really like an in-scale bike for him to sit on.
Tons of 1/12 scale motorcycle kits, but I can't say for certain if they'd fit him. ANd I'm not sure if they make the model he rode in the movie.
http://slist.amiami.com/top/search/list?s_keywords=1%2F12+motorcycle&submit=Search&pagemax=40
>>5887241
Neat, I'll try and remain hopeful.
>>5887238
>job is killing stuff
>lose hand while killing stuff
>simply replace missing hand with a big blade
>resume killing stuff
I love the simple yet badass logic behind this kind of thought, they just shrug it off and go "meh, instead of holding the stuff i kill i'll now just poke holes in the them with this big-ass-blade to carry them around"
>>5887295
Yeah, I was iffy on the first issue, but after seeing those predator designs, I'm confident it's going to do the franchise justice.
>>5876482
mineral oil maybe?
>>5887037
>>Preordered Bukakke-morph on BBTS a few weeks ago.
>>First of the month
>>The wait for payment request begins
Never got anything off BBTS before, how boned am I?
>>5887524
They don't request payment. They charge your card automatically. If there's insufficient funds then it just sits there for a while. I once went like two weeks without paying for my shit and nothing happened. I don't even think I got a reminder email.
This shit isn't your gay ass weeaboo pissy pants amy amy site where they ban you for paying late. They're an Anerican company. They want your money and repeat business so they don't treat their customers like garbage.
>>5887241
I think there's some additional licensing shit they have to do for video game figures, but Dark Horse is fair game
>>5887601
>so they don't treat their customers like garbage
Aside from, you know, the whole scalper prices thing.
>>5887663
that's just good ol fashioned healthy capitalism, son
god bless the U S A
>>5887663
If you're buying exclusives or old rare shit, yeah, you'll probably see that, but 90% of everything else is cheaper or retail.
>>5887748
Probably closer to like, 50%.
>>5887768
Yeah, misinformation is cool.
>>5887606
Man if Neca could do more Dark Horse stuff, I'd kill for new Goon figures. I've got Goon and Franky, but their articulation is limited, good sculpts though. Neca could improve them overall though.
>>5879369
about GODDAMN time! day 1 purchase
>>5882929
that likeness is amazing. Especially the value stop maniacal laugh one
>>5887242
>>5887252
It won't. NECA's stuff is around 1:10. Fortunately, they make motorcycles in that scale. eBay/Amazon search for a 1:10 scale Harley Fat Boy should get you what you want. Don't think anyone has made one of the T2 vintage (1990 model), but it's better than nothing.
Those of us wanting a bike for the T1 figure are shit out of luck, kek.
>>5887808
Broke boys think MSRP is scalper prices baka
Any ideas on when this guy is hitting stores???
Can't wait for mine.
Which AVP pred would you guys say is the best overall? Celtic or scar?
>>5891570
They're basically all the same, so it comes down to which head and accessories you like the most
I'd just wait until the 2pack with the actually accurate Grid alien drops
>>5891570
>>5891573
Honestly, if I had to recommend just one, I'd maybe go as far as saying the maskless Scar. It's probably the best unmasked head NECA has ever done. He also is the most armored-up one out of all of them.
If you must have a masked one, even the masked Scar is nice, because he still has a lot of accessories, and even comes with an extra right hand (so he has a fist hand, a gripping hand for his rights, and an opened hand for his left) although he has probably the least interesting mask. It does have the neat scar/marking on the mask.
Celtic probably has the most unique mask. But even the two "Literal who" Predators from the flashback sequence look nice, since the main trio has the same silvery armor, while of the other two, one has a more coppery/rusty look, and the other has a more blue look.
Either that, or wait for that fucking fantastic looking Ancient Elder who has unique weapons, trophies, an awesome looking head sculpt, mask, and the cape.
>>5891570
Unmasked scar. Or if you don't care about the film at all, I think the flashback press actually look the best.
>>5891570
Ancient Warrior has the best mask, but Temple Guard has that kickass coppery armor. Other than that, it's your choice.
>>5891582
The only one I have so far is Chopper, so I kinda wanted one that's the most different from him as possible.
Celtic does have the coolest looking mask, but other than that he's essentially the same exact figure. I've been eyeing masked Scar mostly because I love his huge ass blade and that armor piece going down his front chest area rather than his back. He was also the most memorable pred from the film w/ the scar on his mask and all, so yeah.
I do like the ancient warrior's almost metallic blue look, too, though.
Difficult choice, I keep leaning toward masked Scar, though.
And yeah, I can't fucking wait for AVP Elder. I'd like to have at least a couple fellow AVP preds to lead.
>>5891573
I already have a grid xeno. Don't really need another and the lack of a cut tail never bothered me.
>>5887601
Heh heh heh fucking awesome
>>5890443
Got my alien series 9? Or was it 8?
Anyway, they're great. Vasquez's skin is a tad glossy but no big deal. Finally some multiculturalism into my space marine squad
>>5891987
She was a sweaty woman, so I total like the gloss.
>>5890443
Looks so fucking good, just wish she had a yelling/grimacing face.
>no sign of the "summer" release HotS wave
>not even a sculpt of Murky or Brightwing
>>5892119
So far every marine except Windrix (who wasn't in the movie) has had 2 versions so I easily see it happening to Vasquez too
>>5891582
Don't forget that Scarface is basically a Celtic repaint with some added shit.
>>5892629
Nah, the only similar thing is the mask, all tge rest is basically new. Especially all those accessories. The masks look the same because those are both based on the original design for the first film.
>>5892738
Well, this >>5887039 is kind of a step up from the last one.
>>5892635
The core body is the same, just the Armour is new. And the mask is similar enough in design, even if the mould is different.
>>5892738
Yes, how dare we want more things from the things we like.
>>5892738
Personally I only started buying these last Christmas so I only have like 18. And only 5 of those are from Alien(s), most are Predators. I want the main characters from Aliens and a bunch of Xenos for them to kill. At least that makes sense, right? They're hive monsters, there should be 40 of the fuckers. But why do I have 15 Predators? Even in the movies they never have more than like 4 to a clan
>>5892740
Anyone think we could get a Ripley Alien 3 retool with Vasquez' head as this?
>>5891987
dat out of place matrix
Is there anything we could do to make NECA revisit the Rambo line?
Still waiting on that Bow Attack Rambo.
>>5892872
>Bow Attack Rambo body + Ultimate T-800 Police Assault head = Power Blade dude
>>5892872
I thought I read a tweet last week where Randy said they were going to still do a Rambo in the future. Not sure what that meant or in what context.
>>5892878
Really? The last Rambo related tweet I read said the line didn't do well, so they canned it.
>>5892902
Yes, I know. But someone asked about Rambo and he said yes they still had plans. But I don't know what that meant.
>>5892913
Any Rambo related anniversary/event coming up? That's probably when they make their move.
>>5892917
30th Anniversary of Rambo III in 2018, but otherwise nothing that I can see.
They need to make a proper Conan figure. *sits in corner and pouts*
>>5892980
spam them about 35th anniversary of First Blood (1982) for 2017
maybe that should give them an excuse to release rambo stuffs
>>5892985
>spam them
Yes, what a perfectly normal way to handle things. I'm sure that won't have any negative effects at all.
I'm really having trouble deciding which alien line to get into. I doubt it, but does anyone have both the Neca and Hiya powerloaders? Aside from the obvious difference in size, how do they stack up? The Hiya paintjob looks a bit better, but promos aren't always accurate and there's more to a toy than just paint. Also, it's only like ten bucks less for close to half the size.
>>5893432
What Hiya? You meant the "Asian" Aliens line?
>>5893468
Yeah, the 1/18 ones. I was going to start getting Neca shit, but then I found out Hiya's making an APC, some of the weird aliens like the Crusher, and they got the Predator license, so I'm on the fence.
>>5893619
Unless 1:18 is your scale of choice, I'd probably go with NECA. Hiya can be infuriatingly slow releasing product. They've been around 6 years (including their original incarnation, Teika) and have released three lines.
>>5893468
>>5893619
Purely on astetics I would go with NECA neither of those look like the movie counterparts
When?
>>5894502
and she better come with gimp/penis helmet
>>5894506
>I'm the Juggernaut BITCH!
Why would someone do this?
>>5894617
Because people are abso-fucking-lutely insane.
>>5894379
how are the joints?
>>5894617
I have no clue, but if I had to take a guess maybe Randy said something about not being able to ship something to Mexico, and this guy took it the wrong way.
Just my guess though.
>>5894617
i thought randy was half mexican? the fuck is that dude thinking
>>5895112
Well just reading his twitter you can tell he's a bit of a cunt, but who cares.
>>5892124
Stitches isn't enough for you?
Nah but yeah, really slow on the HotS line, i wonder if Blizzard is giving NECA the Valve treatment.
Neca's twitter said they wanted to make tracer next though, and were asking blizzard on that.
What's wrong with hating Mexicans?
New Horror figure in the works. Not from F13th, NOES, Childs Play, or anything Evil Dead related. And definitely not Halloween.
Whos it gonna be? I'm hoping they decided to do a sculpted TCM2 Leatherface. Or an ultimate Pinhead? Its probably not either of those though.
I hope it's not anything from that new Rob Zombie movie.
And also STARS wont let NECA make any Necrocomicons?.. Weird. Not as a prop replica or an accessory for a figure.
Atleast Ultimate Ash comes with one I think
>>5895505
Stitches has best ass.
>>5895550
That's interesting. I guess there's licensing rights for every bloody thing.
>>5895550
>>5895554
That is weird. Wonder if it's because it's an actual book that has licensing issues or if its just nerves because of religion or whatever.
Anyway, this eBay seller makes a ton of dollhouse books and there are a couple not bad stand ins if you want something. Not sure if 1/2 or 1/6 would look better with Neca's size, though. This one's Hocus Pocus and only comes in 1/6 or 1/3 I believe. http://www.ebay.com/usr/terrie36?rt=nc
>>5893619
Honestly, their only selling point is that they have figures that Neca hasnt made yet, and the size. Other than that they are WAY overpriced for what they are, and I wouldnt put it past Neca to eventually release something like the crusher.
>>5895567
It might be? I couldn't say. I know Anchor Bay or someone released at least 2 different Necronomicons for Evil Dead 1 and 2 DVD releases. I have both, and they're both accurate to their movies (with actual art from the books on the pages inside!), but it's entirely possible some rights got moved around or changed hands by this point.
Just saw this tweet. What is he talking about? I can name at least three other pulse rifle replicas on the market, including one being sold right now.
Why does NECA shy away from licenses and figures that would basically print money for them?
>Michael Myers
>Ultimate Patrick Bateman
>Ultimate Snake Plissken
etc
>>5895681
I'm pretty sure that they had the Halloween license at one point, but let it go and someone else picked it up.
So they just can't do that at this point.
And didn't they do a Snake in the Mego-style figural line?
>>5895681
Because those aren't worth any money. Randy's talked about all of those in the past in some form and concludes that they just wouldn't be profitable. He has the sales data, not us, so I'd be inclined to believe them.
>>5895678
They are not replicas, and not sold in "toy stores"
>>5894379
Is the series out now or is this an early review figure?
>>5895792
Wave 9 has been on NECA's eBay store for at least a few days now.
>>5895691
I don't know what you'd call this if not a replica, but the toy store point's a good one.
>>5895792
It's out online. Should hit tru and stuff within a week or two. My set should be here tomorrow (they're at the post office now, but holiday today, so no mail).
>>5895681
>>5895687
Randys tried crazy hard to make michael myers happen but the lisence holders will not budge. This has been said to death on their twitter. He refers to it as a "dead issue" or something like that.
>Patrick Bateman
>Snake Plissken
I'd buy these, but they definitely wouldnt make enough of a profit to justify the time and money it takes going into them. We know this because they made a retro snake and the sales weren't good.
>>5896317
Yeah but retro clothed figures are usually duds. Most ultimate figures can't stay on the shelves. The megos peg warm
>>5896317
I'm sure I'm not the only one who refused to buy the retro figure in hopes of it encouraging a 7" one. I don't care about those retro figures one fucking bit, but I would've bought two 7" ones.
>>5896320
The megos sell, they've got their own fan base honestly.
>>5896320
>>5896321
I'm in the same boat as you guys. I wanted nothing more than a tradiational figure of Charelton Heston from Planet of the Apes and one of Impostor Jason from part V but all we got were MEGOs.
But that's NECAs logic unfortunatley, if it doesnt sell well as a MEGO it's not viable enough to sculpt and tool a whole figure
But lets be real here. Part V Roy, Charleton Heston, Patrick Batemen, Snake Plissken? Those aren't near as known as Freddy, Jason, Alien, Predator.
I wish they wouldnt play it safe all the time, but I get why they do.
>>5895787
Yeah there were a lot of choices out there. I think NECA is just playing it safe to the chest. Some of those figures are still shelf-warming in comic book even today. I don't think they realize how profitable some of those licenses could be though. Not as big as Alien or Predator, but there is potential.
>>5896372
Toys are a lot more expensive than they used to me with the higher prices in plastic and modern day articulation to engineer.
It'd be my DREAM if neca just brought back the Cult Classics Line with their modern day articulation but a lot of the time it's not worth making a character unless they're widely known or they'd have a sculpt that can be recycled a few times. Unfortunately a lot of the figures they did in the past dont follow under those requirements.
I don't really by NECA figures but I was wondering what's likely going to be the price for the Ash vs Evil Dead figures?
>>5897012
Assuming USD, $20~$25 is the standard going-rate for the majority of their figures.
These figures will be in that range.
>>5897048
Alright thanks!
>>5896372
Man, I would love a comic style Eric
(Gabriel the cat included)
>>5897225
>Gabriel the cat
Jonesy repaint it is.
>>5895584
Lovecraft is public domain bro
THANK YOU NECA THANK YOU NECA THANK YOU NECA!!!!!!!!!
>>5897457
is this going to be a normal product?
or some exclusive thing?
>>5897465
Nycc exclusive, but this time you CAN order it and have it shipped to your home.
Orders start on Thursday, on the NECA store.
>>5897360
Lovecraft only came up with the concept of the book. The contents were written by other authors, most of whom are NOT in the public domain. (the oldest full Necronomicon is from 1972 according to wikipedia, and even that is too recent for public domain)
And either way, we're talking about that specific appearance and design, not a real book. Please do a modicum of research before presenting misinformation as facts.
>>5897457
>it's another exclusive
I'm not mad at NECA it's not their fault.
But fuck Playmates for being so strict with the license when they're doing nothing like this with.
They said they had two Shredders in the works to be revealed so I imagine the other one is probably an 18-inch movie one.
Goddammit.
>>5897671
Our only hope is that the special NECA knock off makers save the day.
>>5897684
and I mean, Im not in the US, so thats why it isnt as simple for me to just go to the NECA page and buy.
Specially for the coin exchange retion probably being brutal. and shipping costing more than the figures.
>>5887295
That hand was just holding him back
>>5887295
This shit happens all the time with Predators.
There are a lot of them that are mauled and shit, and they just keep going about, giving various creatures the business.
>One of the Predators lost a hand in the old AvP: War comics
>Ahab from the Fire and Stone comics got a blade straight through his helmet and head, fucking his face all up
>Even the City Hunter from Predator 2 had his hand chopped off by Danny Glover, and just put a band-aid on that shit.
>>5897920
Wolf from AvPR had acid burns on the side of his face
>>5897684
Unlikely, the original TMNT bootlegs only exist because the factory stole the molds.
>>5897715
I mean, the sky is blue is a fact, but it's completely irrelevant and has nothing to do with the debate just like that comment.
>>5897930
He was also missing one of his mandibles (so was Ahab from the comics.)
>>5897936
I know, I just hope they steal the molds again
.....
I know that sound terrible.....
>>5897937
Original post:
>I think its because the Necronomicon is from H.P. Lovecrafts works
Aswer:
>Lovecraft is public domain bro
How is that irrelevant? Not only it corrected Anon's original line of thought, but it also added to the discussion by allowing Anons to make other deductions.
>>5892738
Hey I've always wanted humans after the shit ton of Aliens we've gotten throughout the years, so it's not like they're just random rehashes and shit.
Here's the source straight from Randy's mouth:
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1snvtrt
"Last tweet re #Contra headbands, they're based on the original NES 8 bit version from early '88 where in-game both headbands appeared to be red in color.
Konami asked that we keep one headband red and one blue so we obliged
Anyone who wants to change the colors themselves or swap heads or whatever tickles your fancy feel free to do so. Enough said, now play with your toys & have fun. "
The issue is that they could have easily painted the bandanas the correct color to match the pants for each character AND the original Arcade/NES/Famicom artwork, but I think they were too far along in production, so they gave that BS excuse.
I'm sad about the Contra colours too but not enough to complain to them. I'll just swap the heads and call it good.
I also want some Dutch vests though. Might buy some knockoff Thermal Dutchs and paint them
>>5882929
The Ash figures look more like Mitt Romney...
>>5899538
Gee, i wonder why
Got to open a fresh case of Aliens series 9 today. Lucky for me too, since every Vasquez had questionable paints apps on her face. Watch out for shitty joints on your dick monsters too. Mine had a broken wrist loop. The plastic on the xeno joints seems really shitty compared to all my other ones.
Also, the "adios" paint app on the smartgun got cut. Bummer deal.
All around disappointing. Didn't get Frost, since I assume it'll stick around for a while.
>>5899711
Like this? Hope it's not a widespread issue
Opinions on this guy's backstory?
That's an awful lot of names, are those all Kenner clans?
>>5900097
There's nothing to do about it. Stop being a hamhands, that stops most problems right off the bat.
>>5900716
Things that are already broken before being opened have nothing to do with hamhands, shill
WELL my ultimate part 1 Freddy's hips decided to stop working, he just keeps falling back now, just like every Part 3 Jason mold I'd ever owned.
And Ultimate part 3 Freddys using the same legs right? Great. I doubt they fixed it. I own three figures with the Part 3 Jason Mold (Battle Damaged, and both NES versions) and they never bothered to fix those hips as those were released over time.
Im stoked for New Nightmare Freddy cus atleast those are all new. As far as I can tell the newer molds don't have loose hips like that. My ultimate and atari leatherface have great hips so far
>>5900741
New Bread
>>5899834
Widespread issue or not, they're sending me a new hand! Say what you want about their QC, but in my experience NECA have always been quick to offer solutions whenever possible.
Posting in this thread because I need a safe space.
>>5898514
It's not bs though. Randy's been saying for almost a year how much of a pain in the ass Konami is. They're the reason we're not getting the castlevania figure.
>>5887014
I love mine, but like others have said, the weapons were all smushed. Lucky for me I already had the shitty half-statue versions with more solid (and better painted) weapons. The old one also had better paint on the hands, but they were too lose on the new figure, so I swapped them back.
>>5900621
There's not that many names there.
Lasershot Predator is an old Kenner Pred, but NECA hasn't done an update of him yet.
Armored Lost/Borg Predator is one of the Lost Tribe Preds from the end of Predator 2. NECA just made up some badass non-canon armor for him, similar to how Viper is technically a made-up Predator.
Yautja Prime is just the Predator home world.
R'Zor I've never even heard of, so it is either a future NECA creation like Lost Armor and Viper, or it some obscure comic/EU Predator.
Those are really the only names in that bio.
