>>5870852
I like your style.
>>5870898
>It was 79,800 yen on release
Holy
SHIT
And here I thought being a Macross fan was suffering when it came to buying stuff. Shows how little I know.
I don't think I have one. I mean, there is a ton of stuff I'd love to have, but none of it is hard to find. I just don't buy it because I'm not willing to spend what they want for it on a toy/statue.
Like, I'm not dropping 50-100 dollars on a figure that MSRP'd for 10-20, or 300+ on a statue shit that was 120 when it came out.
>>5870898
Dangiaoh!!!
>>5870908
Welcome to the wonderful wallet-raping world of Studio Halfeye.
>>5870852
>>5871208
haha
Daddy wants
Couldn't justify spending $300 on it. Most of my grails are statue shit, though.
>>5871012
Well it certainly makes me feel better about my grail if I ever decide to go through with buying it...
>>5870898
how in the hell do they justify that price?
>>5872308
Their contract with the copyright origin, metal content, size, the nature of the limited run figures
>>5870852
Where can I buy this?
>>5872322
>size
>metal content
Unless you mean the screws, that definitely isn't SHE's thing. What IS their thing is handmade resin pieces produced entirely out of a small building by a handful of people. And extremely limited releases, yes.
>>5872582
I believe that's the Brother Production "Redrum" figure, you can find em on eBay sometimes, and maybe forums. There's also the "The Screaming" figure made by Subway if you're looking for a 1/6 scale Jack.
>>5872793
Ahh, thanks for clearing it up
could have bought one for $150 not too long ago, but passed.
It's a conversion kit to make the original Mazinger SOC into Gekiganger 3.
Only a few hundred were made and sold at Wonfes summer in 1999.
I doubt I will ever even see one posted online beyond this one, let alone in real life.

It hurts.
With "intergalactic" japanese construction outfits.
>>5873471
But you can still buy those on their site I think. They're not THAT rare.
>>5873471
Just because they're expensive, doesn't make them a grail. If it were truly a grail, you'd do anything to get it.
>>5873471
Should I know who these guys are?
This. All day long
>>5873632
beastie boys
>>5870949
Poorfag.
I love this Jagi so much. I have three of them. It just clicked after I bought the first one.
$50 in 2004
Now it goes for $600 MIB
>>5876386
>grail
>I have three of them
Not sure if it counts but I really fucking want this
>>5880757
That's pretty cool. I wanted the movie theater myself.
>>5876927
Someone on /tfg/ blew like $350 on one a couple of months ago, and apparently he's not as good as he's cracked up to be.
I reckon Overlord will get a new figure soon
This and Mage of the Mirror
Not grail as in hard to find, but those eBay prices!
I ain't got £300 to spend on 10 miniatures
basically a team of laser beasts, but this guy is pretty nice looking.
>>5881000
these guys were a lot of fun
i used to rip their arms off
>>5880961
I don't really understand. What was he expecting? Something that wasn't a G1 brick?
>>5880757
Me too, it would be so cool having a gritty noir private detectives office in my Lego city.
>"Legoland, 13 February, 2016. "
>"Here comes the rain again. Sometimes I wonder if it comes to wash the sin off the Studs of these godforsaken streets. Then I come to my senses and realise that nothing can fix what this city is. A cesspool where degenerates in black and white striped shirts rob the innocent of their hard earned money tiles. Where people don their phoney smiles, pretending there's nothing wrong. I wish I could be like them, that's why I numb myself every night with clawfulls of anti-depressants, and wash them down with cheap Irish bourbon, every morning I find myself passed out on the floor in nothing but my underwear, drowning in a pool of bitter tears and memories. A pathetic sack of alcoholic shit is all this city has to keep the scum off the streets, seems apt in a strange way. Minifigs have stopped caring, there was a time when this was a happy place, even a detective like myself can find no evidence of that anymore however."
>"Legoland, 24 February, 2016"
>"My new case is the kind that's all too common in this town, the kind that makes it hard to sleep at night unless you've been liquored up to the nines. We found a body of a construction worker down behind the old Parisian cafe. His head had been taken off and was nowhere to be found. His left and right arms had been switched. This seemed to be the handiwork of a serial killer we've been calling "the constructor", M.O is consistent. The shrinks down at the lab believe he's building something with the head pieces, but only time will tell."
>"God help us all."
Do I want the original that is expensive with gold plastic syndrome and deteriorating shells, a knock off that is oversized and discolored, or a 3p that is more expensive and never coming out?
I want it so bad
>>5884479
The biggest crime is that even the KO of the Dinoforce version is hideously overpriced.
I'm not extreme, I'll never pay more than $150 for it and even then that's a lot for a toy. I may not have the heart to be a toy collector boys.
>>5884367
Lol.
One of my two Grails:
I remembered playing with these as a child but I never remembered what they were actually called. I did search after search for them, but never came up with anything. After nearly ten years, I started to think they might not have actually existed and EVEN toyed with the thought of creating them myself using a mold printing service and patenting.
But then I FINALLY FOUND what they were two years ago and armed with that knowledge I located my first box of them being sold from the UK. I used a third party middleman service to purchase and have them sent to me. I have since grown my collection of them to what you see before you.
A VERY short-lived, specialty set of Kenner's rail and girder sets; boxes and bags intact in all but one--these are unopened.
Gentlemen for your viewing pleasure; my Grail; Building Blasters by Kenner, circa 1989.

>>5870852
When did they make a Jim Hopper figure?
Some shitty toy from my favorite childhood cartoon that I can't find for under $300...
>>5870949
Don't deviate from your course, anon. Tis' a slippery slope with this hobby.
>>5873471
Oh hey /r/music
OP here.. Soon after I made this thread I said fuck it and ordered one. He did not disappoint..
>>5884526
Isn't there really cheap bootlegs that are actually good quality?
Micro Machines Super Van City.
It kept getting re-released like every year through the 90's (or at least a big chunk of it), I wanted it every time and I never got it...now ebay is full of ones that are either missing parts or discoloured and missing parts.
Unless I'm willing to live with one with all the fucking labels in Italian and fuck that.

>>5888953
The re-releases had different decos. I remember a black one and a military one, but apparently there was also a blue one. Apart from the military one I think they were all pretty much the same inside.

Congratulations to you my man!
So, the inevitable question: how far did buying him set you back?
>>5888848
Fucking nice, man.
>>5888848
Did it come the the alternate crab body?
>>5887126
the best
>>5889423
Why is this a thing. What am I missing?
>>5890116
You're missing everything anon. It started out as a guys art project, and some one took part of it and made pic related. The guy liked Crab Nicholson, so he made him into a figure. You can find all the originals on deviantart, too.
>>5890119
Thats...
Thats really dumb.
>>5888898
The Datongs are still kinda pricey
>>5889423
Always wanted to make a Crab Nicholson myself.
Getting Pucci isn't as hard as finding Whitesnake at a decent price. $300 is the cheapest I've seen
>>5891552
>nu-Channers
Mine is kinda sad, years ago I said these 2 were gonna be my reason to quit collecting.
The optimus was perfect...at the time, now an upscaled knock off blows it out the water, and the megatron was only the fact that he was the ONLY official adaption that also had a really nice gun mode compared to 3p's (even now), he was easier to get due to how old he was (gun laws in my country are tough) and the case of rust he has which brought him down to a reasonable price hurts, easily fixable, but thats alot of work.
So, I'm still collecting, waiting for the pic on the right to be replaced, in the mean time I'm just waiting on trypticon and scorponok, will I be done once those and a perfect megatron come out, who can say.
>>5884367
10/10 would unironically read a full lego detective novel
>>5888908
That is so. Fucking. Cool.
This seems exactly the sort of thing I grew up on.
Love the colour scheme and design.
Looking for this one
>>5894685
All the Micronauts aliens had super weird, 1970s designs. Crustaceans, reptiles, centaurs, insects etc.
>>5897660
Oh yeah, for the amount of sweat and blood I put into the pc version of that game it would be worth it. Sadly they only made like 100
>>5897869
I'm kinda the same way with that Piggsy statue.
>>5893091
>not abbart of the suber secrit club

>>5872190
Own it, this is my favorite ship. Diecast is the best.
>>5892328
Why not just get the SAS versions?
>>5897660
Did they ever make a Tommy vercetti?
All I ever need. Buddy in the Navy got if for me while deployed in japan
>>5900556
ech, sorry I can't help you with this one, but mine suffers from McFarlane clear plastic disease and broke his legs off in storage.
This is what my grail looks like, finally got it!
>>5890119
That's absolutely not how it went down. a bunch of guys on /v/ were using a random game name generator. one of the ones came up as crab Nicholson extreme sleepover. it just so happened there was someone in the thread also drawing what the box art for all these crazy game names would look like.
>>5880499
He does know what the word means you idiot he clearly wants ALL of the Jagis to build one big Jagi grail. Now kill yourself you illiterate meme posting fucksack.
>>5902372
What is it anon, WHAT IS IT?
>cheapest I can find it is $180 used
S-should I?
If you Fahd just bought stuff when it came out you would have no problems. You only pay the late tax once. Unless you're a retard or bad with money.
>>5907272
Some of us where too young to buy certain toys when they where new, or not financially stable. Not everyone has been collecting for years.
>>5907272
..... My grail retailed at 300 dollars.
>>5906942
>watch flcl as a kid
>think it's terrible, don't finish it
>give it another try last year, love it
>Well that was pretty cool, let's see if it has any toys
I feel you, anon.
>>5906942
I can sell you one loose for under 180 if you're interested.
Leave your email.
i want nothing more than for that sword to penetrate me
Not that hard to find but damn, the Mezco Dark Knight costs a small fortune in my contry, i really want one.
That and a Neca Alien Queen for my hive.
>>5889423
Still have not fucking finished mine. I moved and it's in storage somewhere.
Always wanted the Sideshow Collectibles Nosferatu, it's so fucking hard to find a decent vampire action figure.
>>5893132
Don't fret anon, a new MP Megs is coming out soon. Looks pretty good too. Also Trypticon is confirmed
>>5901404
no they made some weird lego rip off figs for SA, Gta 3 and Vice City
>>5909516
>tfw you have this and a bunch of other stuff mentioned in this thread
Feels weird man
>>5911119
Which ones do you have?
How is the Nosferatu by the way?
>>5906942
Shit I'm on the Canti-grail train too. At this point all I can do is hope for either a re-release or a new one with the new series coming out...
>>5909835
>star spangled banana hammock
that's kinda hot
>>5893091
>Not riding the cock of a dumb joke to fit in
Fucking 4chan retards never cease to dumbfound me.
Fuck me dead, I can't bring myself to drop $200+ on a berserk figure, but I want it
>>5913196
Won't be getting any cheaper most likely. Keep an eye out for a good deal, I wish you luck. I don't see them doing a re-release or variant either just because Max Factory rarely rolls that way.
>>5872190
my old roommate had one, pretty nicely done. It's not too expensive.
>>5887126
cover your eyes jimmy, hes doing this next stunt as nature intended
Just grabbed one of my grails from Mandarake. Don't even listen to vocaloid shit/ hardly know or care about Miku, but I just really love the designs of some of her Figmas. Need a white Figma horse for her as a poor substitute for that baller robot horse.
>>5917550
give her a real sword
>>5870852
I want it so bad....it's only like 180 idk why I can never pull myself to pull the trigger on it
>>5909516
came to post this, i like the burgundy coat one better though.
>>5909516
>>5923952
>MFW i saw this for sale but it's too expensive for me right now...
Sooooon
>>5923167
That looks amazing, I'm pretty sure you could part it out on bricklink for much cheaper than $180 though, not to mention if you did you could make it in custom colors.
>>5924063
Fuck yes! I was so stoked to see they're making 9, it's so damn hard to find merch of him. The accessories look really fun too.
...
>>5892328
fuck me that pucci looks gucci
>>5873471
when did they make lonely island figs?
I just can't bring myself to spend 90. If only I'd been a fan in 2013 when she was released.
>>5929044
If this was really your grail, you'd spend 90.
>>5929045
I don't have a lot of money for figures lately, when there's an upswing in work and less life expenses I'll likely pick her up. I've come so close to buying her these past couple of days though, only to back out.
>>5884580
Weird. I never noticed the claw vagina before...
>>5887083
Fucking awesome! Congrats!
I don't really have one. The closest to a "grail" for me would probably be any of the Guts figures. You get so little for the price I can't justify paying for them.
>>5912006
Reddit? Gtfo
Had him within my grasp once. I hesitated on the price and someone else snagged him…
>>No.5909516
Excuse me?
Pretty sure it was only given to cast and crew. Never seen one for sale.
>>5931271
I'd recommend getting it now while it's only $40-ish on Amazon. I dropped $80 on it about 3 years back when that was the average asking price and was not disappointed. If you're into Hellsing it's easily the best collectible out there
>>5884526
I got a bootleg, kinda loose joints but pretty good mate.
>>5931271
He asked for 'decent', not 'garbage'.
>>5913196
Got mine for $120. Just watch the usual places and you'll get lucky eventually.
>>5934478
How much did you pay for it?
>>5884479
Holy shit I remember when those were on clearance for a dollar at Children's Palace. I regret not getting all of them. I just got the green and purple one.
>>5936394
They do. If I'm not wrong they even have them listed in their "hall of fame" category or something. That's a damn testament to how shitty they are.
>>5931875
I didn't even know a figure existed.
This fucking Super Beast Machine God right here.
>Black Wing alone is $160, $60 more than I've ever spent on a toy.
>Dancouga is FIVE HUNDRED FUCKING DOLLARS
I'd be willing to spend $50 on this, if I could find someone selling it.
Even if I really wanted to spend the money, I don't think I have anywhere to put this thing.
>>5870852
I dont have super grail-ish things. I can afford stuff that i want with some savings and being patient.
BUT...i...so want more Street Sharks figures.
Just continue collecting them. I have only 2.
And they are SO FUCKING JAWESOME.
- super big and chunky
- awesome plastic quality
- awesome rubber quality
damn.
But they are insanely expensive in good condition. I just want some sharks man...
>>5911394
I have all the Mezco Bats, and Nosferatu. Plus the Cloverfield monster which I dont think has been posted in this one but ive seen it before. Every Mezco Hellboy figure, and SHFs DBZ guys like Krillin, Scouter Vegeta, the Androids, ect...
Nosferatus fucking great though, only weird thing about him are the bands that wrap around his shoes (not quite sure how to explain it) and the fact that of you open up his coat he has full blown pecs and abs. It makes for pretty funny pics
>>5941290
the hand puppets are better
>>5892328
I actually picked this guy up on Manda after I got some photos of him from them a few days ago. I'd say trying to find one that hasn't suffered from gold deterioration is worse than his price honestly, but completely possible.
>>5940199
Where the hell do you live?
