Whats wrong with hip articulation? Ive found it to be excellent
>>5864742
FREE HIM
Overall this figure is impressive, so bulky and THICC
His torso bemd is fantastic for squat and fire, tge grenades are cool, the little beam effects are neat and offer different alternatives to play. The cannons have little extending action too. Gundam finally has an ally to help. But guntank is missing...
>>5865035
SQUAT GOOD
Will be posting the diorama with gouf vs kai soon, the zgok one may have to wait...
GRENADE
EXPLODING KNEES!
imitating that one scene where he pushes that zaku off the cliff
And thats it for now, have a ridiculous pose, hope to see more guncannons soon
>>5865035
Outward movement, even the DOM can do the split but for some weird reason the Guncannon can't. Other than that legs articulation are amazing !
>>5865096
holy shit, had no idea the DOM could do splits
Otherwise guncannon doesnt need splits i think
>>5865130
Dom can do anything.
Dom is Love.
>>5865147
Can't kill Amuro
>HLJ didn't send me the first run bonus for the Guncannon even though I ordered it the first day it went up.
>>5865156
They did in the novel
I don't care even if these will be as high as 10k yen each, I will get all of them as Nagano lets them.
>>5865187
I got the first run and I don't really want the effect parts, if you have sone stuff to trade I haven't opened it yet.
[email protected]
Got this Unicorn Gundam in after buying it on the cheap during HLJ's sale. I like it enough to where I want to seek out the other versions.
>>5865594
Oh, the price will be insane. Way more than 10k yen.
A few years ago Nagano released a line of 1/6 scale Fatima suits. Not 1/6 scale Fatima figures, but SUITS. Each one cost 30,000 yen. Granted, they were made with some very sophisticated tech, but that still gives you an idea of how insane he is.
>>5865746
Unicorn in it's base mode is sexy as fuck.
Destroy mode makes me ech
>>5865865
Glad to see im not the only one. The banshee norn and unicorn both have such nice designs in normal mode. Makes me hate unicorn that much more when ever I see either in dedtroy mode
>>5865065
>All the hand holders can stack.
Neat.
>>5866990
Hopefully we get RDs that aren't fucking Gundam.
>>5867010
Every fucking time. Do you honestly believe that Robot Damashii would survive without Gundam? Do you honestly think that your gay little wishlist of obscure mechs can make Bandai a profit?
There's a reason that Bandai puts so much money into gundam and bugmen. It sells. Every once in awhile they'll dip their toes in the water and have some success with other properties, but they know that gundam will always be the cash cow.
>>5867090
Why the fuck won't they just make an Ez-8 already. They have to know that it would sell like hotcakes. They could even do a paratroop option parts set.
>>5867090
I'm actually surprised that they've given as much love as they have to Dunbine with this line. Hell, just looking at the poll options of potential future releases, theres still plenty of potential life left in the line.
>>5867304
Given enough time, they could make a mint just by revisiting stuff they've already made. (And let's be real, Bandai always does this, and has already done some of this in the RD line.)
Personally, I'm hoping we get a bigger, better Turn A Gundam at some point. Full 1/144th scale. Something that really shines as a toy, solid and playable like the Dom.
And ANIME Zeong and Gelgoog too, of course.
And Bastole and Gedo and cannon fodder Bozune too.
And Ideon.
>>5867523
I don't mind the ANIME line. An ANIME Zeong would be Godly as would a Byg Zam. But I wish the other Gundam offerings were more varied or at least came with all the accessories they were supposed to come with.
>>5867090
Stop acting like a spoiled entitled brat. I swear you Gundamfags are the worst. You won't even let the line be any less than 90% Gundam shit.
>>5867090
I would branch out to EVAs if they weren't so fucking expensive
>>5867090
Bandai can churn out as much Gundam RDs as they want, isn't going to stop any of them from shelfwarming as hard as they are now with a few exceptions.
>>5868005
Us "gundamfags" have no actual control over what Bandai puts out. Bandai and their market research does.
Deal with the fact they don't consider your personal pet franchise as marketable.
>>5864871
Whats that suit based off of? Come to think of it, what was that desert zaku that went up a while ago based off of?
>>5865035
>>5865130
Great set of photos anon, and wow I didn't realize the Dom could do the splits either, haha.
>>5865187
>>5865328
That freakin stinks! Now I'm worried if I'm going to get the first run bonus for the Gouf. Will find out Monday...
>>5865746
Grats anon, and grats on the Dingoes! Was happy to see you got them in safely in the last thread.
>>5865865
>>5866482
>>5866687
I like Destroy mode, but I definitely understand the appeal of the Unicorn mode.
>>5866990
My expectation/hope is that the ANIME line will ultimately end up visiting every animated Gundam work. Be the perfect excuse to finally start giving us RDs from OAVs that have otherwise been ignored or given very limited attention.
>>5869026
They're from what's called Mobile Suit Variation, or MSV. As the name implies, MSV illustrates variations of suits that are active in the background of a particular series. They generally don't have screentime, but they are considered canon designs (Desert Zaku appeared in Gundam Unicorn!). Basically it's a way to sell more toys/models, haha, but you get some really cool designs out of it.
You can check out some of the original MSVs here, including the Gouf Test Type and Desert Zaku:
http://mahq.net/mecha/gundam/msv/index.htm
And to the anon in the last thread who was asking about them, Bandai released these buildings as option sets in both normal and damaged versions:

>>5867096
I think Bandai DOES know how popular a lot of those suit designs are but are deliberately holding off on making them in order to stretch out the RD line for as long as possible (and to maximise profits).
How else can you explain how it took so freaking long for the Zeta, of all things, to come out?
>>5868718
That Blue Destiny Gundam looked so damn good. I wonder what happened to it.
The Blue Destiny was the first manga I've ever read.

Oh righteo. Thanks for the info.
Finally got around to putting up my Gouf and Quebeley on display. Yeah I know it doesn't make sense to have Quebeley displayed with Gouf and RX-78. It's a temp setup.
Both awesome RDs.

>>5871532
I will give you a hint. Their DHL rates are pretty damn good once you go over 2kg because they hardly change after that.
>>5871783
The best Robot Damashii are those of 80s niche characters, because they haven't had a merchandise in a long time and therefore the RD will be considered as the "definitive version" toy. Whereas, those of current TV shows or other mobile suits, since they have many offerings already such as Gunpla, they don't have to try hard enough. They only have to incorporate the bread and butter RD selling points such as double joints, anime onscreen style sculpt, able to recreate signature poses and so fourth.
>>5870864
Thanks! I'll have to order a couple sets to help organize my display soon!
I guess my only concern is that the 3" riser wouldn't be large enough to really display a figure unless they were just standing on it.

>>5872336

Awesome! Good to see they are still going through with the RD Dijeh.
Now we just need a MK-III and Shiki Kai to replace those ancient and inflated GFF toys and I'll have a nice gallery of beautiful Fujita robots to display.
>>5872106
The 3" riser is wider than you'd think, although it's true poses on them will be limited.
That's where action stands come in handy.
Got my HLJ haul in yesterday, haven't had time to do anything but confirm the contents, but happily I did get the Gouf first release bonus. The box for the destroid Monster is ridiculously huge, by the way haha.

>>5869267
>>5869270
I could definitely go for a FA Gundam, especially in those colors!
>>5871276
I only own the RX-0 variations, but they're really nice! The face sculpts (usually a Bandai weakness for anime girls) look great, the armor bits attach securely but swap easily, good poseability, and their accessories are indeed fully compatible with RDs! Conversely the Gundam Girls can make use of many RD accessories.
A particularly old pic, but here's Unicorn girl using the RD's beam gatlings while the RD in the background is rocking the girl's Hyper Beam Javlin and Armed Armor DE shield.

Oh... you probably shouldn't listen to me. I even tried splitting them between Destroy mode and Unicorn mode versions, and I still went over the limit of sanity. ;_;
>>5870864
Very cool anon, may check this out myself.
>>5872415
Personally I find them still very playable. The joints generally have the same great range of motion you'd expect from a standard RD along with the solid RD construction. You do need to treat Ka Signatures with a bit more care, as they are usually fully painted and often have more delicate design features (antenna, spikes, and the like), but as long as you're mindful of those areas you can have just as much fun posing them.
It also depends on the design, though. Some designs just don't lend themselves very well to being played with and there's not a ton you can do about it. For example I didn't think the Ka Signature Byarlant Custom was very fun to mess around with as it was just so heavy (such that a Tamashii Stage had trouble supporting it) AND back-heavy due to it's thrusters. Conversely, the Neros are great fun to play with thanks to their lithe grunt design.

>>5873003
Yep, Tamashii Nation event exclusive. You'll probably be able to find it on Mandarake anyway.
>>5873264
Will skip this guy since i have the 1/100 already. At this rate we should get MK-Iii and Hyakushiki Kai.
I just ordered pic related from manda. Anyone have experience with GFF figures? How's the quality? Comparable to RD's?
>>5873773
The GFF figures can be quite light weight and can be flimsy - more like posable statues, especially the earlier ones. But the Zeonography figures are a lot more solid because of the boxier designs.
Actually have those three and its a really fun set.

>>5874167
>ver Ka
>AND pbandai
IT'S NOT FAIR
Looks like this month's Bandai news got no new regular retail RDs at all. We do have Dijeh and Gouf Experiment type as p-bandai though.
Does that mean there are no RD lines left apart form ANiME and the rest of Dunbine.
Perhaps they figured that the Seed Destiny line is flopping and they are figuring out what Sunrise production should replace Dunbine.
If that's the case, RD is mainly for a select few for current TV series(RD for new Barbatos), a main long running line(ANiME) and a premium quality nostalgia line(Dunbine) for regular release.
>>5873264
They are only releasing Ka Signature if they lack an HGUC.
Bound Doc and Hizack Custom next?
Methuss Kai maybe.
>TFW all THICC Robot Damashii MS are either old releases or non-Gundam MS
>they finally release EX-S and it's an overpriced hunk of diecast
Fuck off RD, release a plastic version since I know you'll never release a new FAZZ.
>>5873264
Gonna pass of the Dijeh but the Ka Signature MK-II is damn tempting. I really hope this means the Ka Signature Zeta is next. The fact they included Zeta's Hyper Mega Launcher with the Dijeh makes me think its a hint that the Ka Signature Zeta is coming up
>>5874860
Patlabor's coming soon
>>5874860
L-Gaim might not be dead yet. I hope it's not dead at least. I don't even like L-Gaim at all or own any of the figures. I'd just hate to see the line get canceled with only a few major characters to go like some of the RD lines I did collect before they got cancelled. L-Gaim fans at least deserve to finish their stuff at this point.
I think we can safely say that Cross Ange is dead and I sort of doubt there was ever any plans to put out stuff that would require any significant new tooling.
I'm honestly not even sure they'll bother with any more IBO stuff.
>>5874901
I feel like Patlabor won't end up sticking around long, especially if they intend to stay with just the TV series robots. I We'll get three Ingrams, Helldiver, and Griffon for sure along with maybe two or three things like the Tyrant and Phantom that will bomb and make sure only the popular stuff that already has a bunch of merch comes out. Maybe Peacemaker and Brocken if we're lucky. It sounds like a lot, but realistically that's maybe five or six retail releases. Without much else on the RD plate that could go by pretty fast.
>>5874969
Honestly, I feel like L-Gaim killed itself a bit with all the exclusives of units for major characters with only a few that should be webshop exclusives (L-Gaim final battle ver, Calvary Temple guards type, Army use Allone)
>>5873773
That's a pretty cool set.
>>5874167
That Hyper Mega Launcher is sex. The figure itself seems like it would be a pretty great one, too.
I didn't care about the upcoming Dijeh release until I saw pic related. The way the Hyper Mega Launcher looks on its shoulder is doing things to me.
>>5874972
Still need Nouvel Dsserd, A-Toll, A-Toll V and original Auge.
There is also that purple ancient mech from Daba's kingdom.
I was surprised that they even released the Greaia.
The Dragonar line died after two "(heel face turn)bad guy releases".
I am pretty sure they will reveal their next Sunrise project in October, or at least announce which one got the most votes.
>Neat. Gouf test prototype ANIME on PO.
>sgd$85
Damn I almost forgot how much more this cost than kits.
>>5875017
Isn't the original Auge a regular release though?
>>5875012
It's up for PO now. Mykombini seems to have the best price from wat I've found.
My Zaku warrior just came in today, was a bit smaller than I expected.
But I was comparing it to ANIME Dom so.
>>5875723
So far I've noticed some problems with the Zaku, the side and back skirt armor would sometimes fall off, and the gun is awkard to position, and the fingers on the open hand feels really fragile. Other than that ir's pretty solid.
>>5875730
All of the gun metal swords and guns are kotobukiya weapon sets.
>>5875731
>>5875054
There are two Auge. The Auge and the Original Auge. They have different designs. Original Auge is the last boss unit. The Original moniker isn't in the show IIRC and was coined by fans as a way to differentiate the two designs that are both called Auge.
>>5874969
>not even sure they'll bother with any more IBO stuff.
Well there was the option parts which probably will come out at some point. Maybe a new Barbatos for the new season at the very least.
Somewhat of a shame as the designs really grew on me. I'll have to settle for a small army of HG Grazes to compliment them instead.
>>5876014
They already confirmed we're getting at least 1 season 2 related IBO RD next year when they did their season 2 announcement stream a couple weeks ago.
>>5873773
>>5873773
Zeonography figures are great. Hefty with awesome details. They can't pose worth a damn but who cares when they look so good on your desk.
>>5876014
It's really weird that they managed to fuck up the coloring on the head crest in the middle. Sixth form should have the top part white just like all the others.
I still really hate the sculpt on RD Barbatos too. It's really soft and loses the interesting balance of extremely mechanical styling and edges on a very organic silhouette that makes me really like the design. The RD looks like someone put it in the microwave very briefly.
>>5875012
yeah, now your shelf needs to be twice as tall to display it
Aww shit.
Man, that's a nice box.
Hope this is a good place to ask. I was thinking about getting into line, but seeing shit on ebay being shipped from china with minimally lowered prices made me doubt. Are bootlegs common or am I just paranoid?
>>5877344
I'm honestly not sure on bootlegs, someone else will have to answer, but either way just get them from Mandarake and you wont have to worry about that stuff. Their prices are good, for the most part.
https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/listPage/serchKeyWord?categoryCode=00&keyword=The+robot+spirits
>>5877344
Pretty sure they're not common if they exist at all. There was a bootleg of the Kshatriya made but IIRC they're also pretty clearly identified as such. It's also getting a reprint next month so it'd be easy to find legit ones soon.
Haven't heard of there being any major bootleg runs beyond that one, so it'd be a surprise if you did manage to stumble across one. Just order via Mandarake as the other guy notes, or via Amazon and you should be fine. Even if you get a bootleg off eBay you'd be able to report it and get a refund.
>>5874179
Since when has ver Ka damashii ever NOT been p-bandai?
>>5877648
Ex-S
>>5877344
Bandai products rarely have bootlegs made.
>>5872415
I love my Xi and Penelope. The Barzam Kai is kinda butts though. :(
>>5873773
HAHAHA oh you poor bastard.
GFFs and Zeonography's are made mostly of PVC. They are stiff, heavy, and not very fun to play with. They are good display pieces and that's about it. The ones that have armor swapping gimmicks tend to fall apart kinda easy too.
So in a word, no, they're nothing like like RDs.
>9000yen
I don't understand. How does Heavyarms ended up on scalper's price when it's not an exclusive?
>>5878408
Nah, don't listen to that hater. I have both GFF and RDs and I enjoy them both. It's true that the GFF line has limited posability, but they make great display pieces. The level of detail of GFFs just can't be matched by most RDs.
I personally enjoy the heft of the GFF figures, they just feel solid in your hands when you hold them. The ones I have with armor swapping holds up well and rarely fall apart. I guess it just depends on what model you get. There are RDs that will blow up into a dozen pieces too (I'm looking at you Gouf Custom and Nu Gundam)
My biggest complain for GFF is that the PVC plastic will warp as time go by, So make sure you don't put yours in stress positions especially the weapons.
Unlike the RDs, you can't put GFF in elaborate acrobatic poses, and most of them won't work with stands due to the weight. Literally standing there looking good is what GFFs do best.
Also the GFF packaging blows most RDs out the water
>>5878420
Rule of cool
>still no shipping notification for chars rick dom from nippon-yasan
Life is suffering
>>5878443
I also like that fact that Gundam Fix covered a lot of Mobile Suits RD hasnt covered and probably will not cover. Z II, Gundam MK-III, Ex-S Gundam, and all of them have better proportions than the Bandai Gunpla models.
I was really hoping GFF would have a RE-GZ, but the line died without one. I am really hoping RD brings out a RE-GZ, its long overdue.

>>5878817
I ordered mine form a place no one has ever heard of, won't ship till the end of september because I ordered g-3 with it
>>5878443
Can the RD's hold the GFF weapons?
>>5878967
yes for the most part. The GFFs are scaled slightly bigger than most RDs and but not really noticeable unless you have a side by side comparison. Also the RDs weapon hands are soft plastic so it'll have more give.
The Bigger GFF weapons are heavy though (GP02 nuclear bazooka, FAZZ main gun, Nu-Gundam HWS beam launcher, etc) so you might have a hard time keeping the RD arms up.
Personally I wouldn't have an RD pose with a big GFF gun for a long period of time without support as that might wear out the joint.
>>5879060
Awesome, thanks for the info. I'd basically just be using the weapons for specific photos, so I won't have to worry about long term wear. I really like how the GFF weapons look, with the little markings and whatnot.
>>5878834
Bootleg is not the same as third-party.
Dragon Momoko isn't trying to pass itself off as an actual Bandai product.
>>5879159
Maybe not MC. But there's still plenty of straight bootleg brand out there.
>>5879578
Still pretty uncommon compared to other popular product lines like, say, Nendoroid or those 1/4 bunnygirls.

How are the joints on these? Are they 100% identical to Bandai's engineered joints for Metal Builds or are they the old school, ticking time bomb, standard diecast-on-diecast joints?
>>5884190
aw shit nigga, where can I preorder that baby?
>>5884190
is this from the samy guys that made that metal build huckebein thing?
Mamdarake has the White Dimgo Sniper 2's in stock:

I already got mine so I'm just sharing the love now. 8600 yen.

This is from the guys that made the Strike 1/72 and the joints were good.
The Huckebein are from another groups but their control quality seem inferior.
>>5884277
>tfw painstakingly debated buying it over a couple of hours
>but it would be $120 AUD for a recoloured GM sniper II
>tfw australia gets the short end of the stick for their own MS based in their country
kill me pls
ill get it one day
>>5884489
wait i just noticed it was the non colour corrected version, whew that was close
>>5884508
I'm not sure how it works over there, but just so you know when I bought it it was that exact label and pics and it came with both of them.
>>5884190
the gkgundamkit.com seems to have it at the lowest price, anyone has ever bought from that place?
>>5884604
Just the one set of weapons, the fixed version comes with the GM itself, its antennae, and the two "default" closed fists with, no extras. I've just been using the RX-78-2's beam rifle with the extra, using the originals left trigger finger hand to hold it properly. Thank god they included two opposite trigger finger hands.
Freedom is getting a rerelease? I guess it had to have done well.
>>5884645
? which freedom?
>>5884647
Hopefully not strike
>>5884645
the robot damashii? the face was kinda horrid
>>5884645
It didn't even sell out until Impulse was announced. It was still in stock everywhere before then.

So this just came in from the Month long voyage of RSAL.
Are the special parts inside the box or did I get shafted by HLJ?
>>5884913
It should come in a box seperate from the figures packaging and it looks like pic related. Sounds like you got screwed anon.
>>5884936
Thanks!.
Oh well, I didnt really care for it desu. I wont be pre ordering anything with special with HLJ again thats for sure.
I should at least give them an email. Let's see what HLJ will do.
>>5884986
They might send it to you, every experience I've had with HLJ support so far has been pleasurable. I've never had this specific thing happen though, good luck!
>>5885026
No problem, let us know what they say.
Unrelated but just to save space, here's a pic of all three GFF figures.
>>5884913
Happened to me and another anon aswell.
I preordered it day one and didn't get them, I ordered the Gouf after his release and got the bonus parts. Thanks HLJ...
>>5885050
that zaku I machine gun with grenade launcher might be the sexiest thing i'll see today
>>5884190
when searching for this, I also noticed that Metal Club, the guys that make copies of the Saint Seiya Myth Cloth figures. made a copy of the MB 00 7 Sword:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n04lVqqCNxs
wonder if anyone here has that
>>5885933
The best part is the GFF weapons fit perfectly with the ANIME figures. Here's a shot of the RD Dom holding that machine gun.

I was gonna say the same.
Thanks anyway, brochachos!

welp, yesterday I went ahead and ordered that Qant
wonder about is quality, hopefully it is decent at least

Speaking of good deals, Mandarake has an ANIME Guncannon w/ first run bonus for 3700 yen:

>>5889768
Thanks for the heads up dudes.
Since we are on the topics of good deals let me tell you about a recent one:
About 2 weeks ago I stayed up late for no particular reason and to kill time I was just browsing mandarake's RD listings.
Mandy had an Eva-02 for 2000 Yen!!!
Now, I am on a toy moratorium so I was just literally windowshopping. I have the Eva-01 [got it for 40 shipped new, from ebay years ago] and while I like the Eva RDs a lot I was never fond of 02's horns, so because of that I never actively sought it. BUT I just could not pass up such a great deal on a rare RD.
Eva-02 got arrived earlier this week and she's dope!
Happy to provide pics of the RD or invoice [it's such an incredible deal I don't blame you if you don't believe me!].
>>5888280
Told you! They're pretty reasonable.
>Tfw you missed the preorder for Sirbine
>He is now 10k on manda
>>5890811
Sounds like Sirbine just funded more Dunbine regular rereleases.
Guncannon came in today! I think he's my favorite now. Decent amount of accessories, but beautiful sculpt and articulation. I felt a bit scared trying to move his head because those antennae feel like they'll snap very easily. Thank god there's a spare. The A.N.I.M.E line continues to be some of the best work Bandai has done yet. Guntank soon, god willing.
>>5890985
Very fun to pose
>>5889768
>white dingo at 6000
>bought it for 8000 plus 2000 shipping
CUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Ah well, I'll be balancing it out by selling my old Rei figures anyhow. I can't wait to display it holding an Australian dollar coin.
I also bought a GM sniper K9 to give the different coloured one a weapon to hold. Can anyone with a White Dingo confirm if HG weapons can fit in the hands?
>>5891025
This one doesn't come with the fixed version, so you're still good.
>>5891000
make them kiss
>>5892009
Makes sense since Im getting two after all I suppose. Just tested the K9 Gm Sniper pistols on guncannon, they fit like a glove so Im hoping to use them for the spare.
Guys I need help. I was packing away my Char Zaku in a hurry and seem to have lost a piece, but I don't now what. Can someone post an image of the part so I know what to look for? It's the part that sits above the hands. (pic related).
>>5893683
Is it just an alternate horn?
>>5893701
Yeah, it's in case you lose the other one.
Seeing as you only have one left now, I recommend you not lose it.
>>5893703
Oh so it's not even different? Ok, that's not so bad. I'll have to keep a close eye on the remaining one. Thanks anon
>>5893711
Yeah it's just a replacement, most of the RD's with command horns come with one. I think the Unicorn and the Guncannon do as well
>>5868718
Does Japan hate 0080? I rarely see anything done for that series. When was the last time we got anything modern of the Alex?
>>5893875
not as much as they hate 0083

>>5893683

does it vibrate?
I'll get one for my mom if it vibrates
Manda dropped the price on Guncannon w/first run bonus to 3240 yen. If no one wants it I think I'll get it myself, just to have a second:

So how is the Guncannon? Like, on a scale from 1 to Dom, where Dom is a 10.
>>5896132
About a Guncannon
>>5892587
I've missed the Gouf already and not going to go completionist on 0079 Gundam. So far I do have Gundam, Char's Zaku, 3x Dom, and 5x Zakus. Got G-3 and Char's Dom as well.
Will get one Guncannon as I am switching to Transformers collecting.
I will focus on the story dynamics side of 0079 and not care about world building hence skipped on the MSV stuff such as Zaku Desert Type.
I will get Zock, Gogg and Acguy but will skip GM and Z Gok.
I think Dom and Zaku are enough for me.
>>5896132
Pretty damn good, I like the Dom better though, I'd say an 8 teetering on 9. 8.9.
>>5896163
Goddamnit
>>5896163
This post.
This post makes sense to me.
>>5896132
Apart from the leg split, it's near perfect
>>5869103
do you think these will get bootlegs like the flame effects?
>>5869270

>>5899664

>>5869341
>I wonder what happened to it.
That prototype was from late 2013 or 2014, right? In that case it was likely a victim of the focus shift to 80s stuff that kicked in in the second half of 2014.
>>5898813
and it's awful. the #0036 remake is bad as well.
Just got my Char's rick dom in the mail, and i noticed something interesting.....
It says ANIME of the first generation on the side, i think that implies we'll be getting more than just 0079.
Haad a few problems with my dom though, still a nice figure.
>>5900383
You're just now noticing that? It's been plastered on the front of every ANIME figures box since the beginning. Also "of the first generation" implies that the line focuses on the earliest iteration of Gundam which would be 0079. I don't see how that tagline means that were going to get other shows as well.
>>5900383
Still waiting on mine, customs got all up in my shit.
Aw shit boyz
>>5900481
I wasn't even supposed to be geting mine in till late september, but my seller surprised me. Love thoose dudes.
IT honestly reminds me of a slightly more frustrating tallgeese, so i can see why people love this figure. One of the more solid damashii releases. They also got the pink hue correct, unlike the char zaku, which is off to me.
These guys were worth it, nice to have a little squadron. Shame I didnt realise that they both cant hold guns on the same hand, so other one has to be a leftie. GM Sniper K9 weapons fit perfectly though
STRAYA REPRESENT, POST YOUR WHITE DINGOES
>>5900660
Nice you got pics?
>>5900681
you have my envy, love the dingoes. can't afford atm. G-3 is coming soon too, as for pics, i don't atm, but i can later on in the day
>>5900731
I want a G3 to replace the broken beam rifle effect, fml, but i chose dingoes instead
have another snipe
>>5900757
but the g-3 would match your dingoes nicely color wise.
>>5900802
Oh shit, you are actually right
I kinda want to buy all of the ANIME line anyway (excluding msv)
>>5900826
The dingoes do a great job of sniping while lying down as well!
>>5900660
Nevermind, apparently the tracking was fucked up because it just showed 5 min ago
>>5900474
First Generation implies there are multiple, otherwise why highlight it's the first? Second Gen would be another show most likely.
>>5901003
Because it's highlighting that these figures come from the 1st generation...
>>5901003
There very well could be something of the sort but that name does not imply that there will be, only that these figures come from the 1st gen. If I start a line of figures called "toys of the 1940's" all that means is that I'm making toys from the 1940's, not that there will also be a 50's 60's 70's etc.
>>5899831
I have been considering the 0036 remake. How bad is it?
>>5901067
not bad at all, a beautiful statue, can't post worth a shit but looks great standing there. like the rest of the GFF line
>>5901279
Yeah it's best to consider GFF's as statues with limited articulation thrown in as a bonus, if that makes sense. The arm's are pretty similiar to RD's but you won't be getting much movement out of the legs or anywhere else for that matter.

what should i expect from Wing and Wing Zero? any major faults?
>>5903039
Well for starters, they're from Wing
>>5903039
I got the TV Wing Custom, the backpack falls off all the time, also the connection point of stand attachment is on the backpack, which really doesn't help with the problem.
I also have the EW wing (not the custom, the one with the super colorful wings), now that puppy is a work of art, probably one of the best RDs of all time, but it's exclusive and can go upwards of 10000k yen on mandy
>>5903085
>TV wing
>custom
Pick one.
When is the Kshatriya reissue coming out? It's this month, right?
>>5903010

First one is out on the 27th, second box is out in November.
Haven't had much chance to post, but I've been diligently lurking and enjoying the pics and discussion! May need to pick up Char's Rick Dom myself. The first MG I ever put together was the Rick Dom and the beam bazooka was the coolest thing to me.
Finally had the opportunity to start checking out my HLJ haul. The Gouf is such a beautiful figure!
>>5907191
The Leprechaun is likewise a stunner (don't have the wings attached as I'm keeping him in the box for the time being), great detail with a striking mix of gloss and matte surfaces. Love that head sculpt and was very impressed by the articulation (particularly the attention given to the ankles/feet). Another high quality Dunbine release.
>>5903154
>>5903527
Happy that more folks are going to be able to enjoy Kshatriya!
>>5907207
Leprechaun is a pretty massive RD too!
>>5906139
Had nearly forgotten about the ECOAS Jegan, now I'm anxious all over again to see it get a release date!
And lastly some burning love! haha
>>5907191
Yeah I love the ANIME Gouf, can't wait for the Dodai. I don't really like the heat blade though, I prefer the one on the Custom Gouf.
>>5906278
>They'll all be webshop exclusives
And I'll get them all. I don't care.
>>5869341
I just want that machine gun. I don't think any of the other RD's have it.
>>5907375
meh, i really don't care if it transforms or not, it's not like anyone's gonna display it in bird mode
I have to say I'm slightly disappointed with the beam bazooka that comes with char's rick dom. The MSIA rick dom had a nice color scheme with greys, metallics and blacks while this is fairly plain and uninteresting.
>>5908153
It's not meant to look realistic, it's meant to look like how it looks or would look in the original MSG anime, same as the figure itself.
I really, really need a deltof and or some risers.
>>5908526
>all Gundam
I think you need to expand your tastes.
>>5906674
As in, Master Asia himself? Like there was a figure of Master Asia? If so, I don't know what they were thinking. Why would people want to buy a figure of one of the pilots?
>>5908604
>not wanting Master Asia
I pity you.
>>5908603
I'm not into the fantastical aspects of it so much, so other Tomino shows that incorporate it like Aura Battler Dunbine aren't really my cup of tea. I have been thinking of getting a Patlabor RD though, just to check it out.
>>5908526
Is that MG FA Gundam any good? Any weight issues?
>>5908604
>Why would people want to buy a figure of one of the pilots?
To display with their mobile suit obviously.
I'd kill for some 0079, Zeta or 00 Figuarts
>>5908660
I haven't built it yet. I'll let you know when I do. I have a bit of a backlog I'm working through.
>>5908518
that's a great excuse for shitty details!
>>5909813
Its not really an excuse when its part of the selling point. There's like a dozen other representations of the Dom with better detailing if that's your thing. Some people like the fat blobby fuck that he is in the cartoon though. Personally I would actually prefer this line had even less detail, but I think they're afraid to go full QUALITY.
>>5910634
detail is part of QUALITY
>>5910634
>>5910854
Personally I was going to skip to whole ANIME line because I don't like fat robots and lack of details, the RD is already pretty plain compared to say EMSIA or GFF and the ANIME line's even plainer.
Until recently I found a Char's Zaku 2 on amazon for 25 bucks so I picked it up. While I would still prefer a more realistic, harden take of a RD Char's Zaku 2 with details, the ANIME is what we've got and looks like that's all we're going to get for a while. And guess what, it's not clashing horribly with the old non ANIME Zaku 2, or the non ANIME RX78. With the right pose the chubbiness is barely noticeable (much like the weird proportion of the Z line is not noticeable once posed)
My main grip with the ANIME line is it seems to compensate for the lack of details, Bandai has included a lot of effect parts which are actually very heavy. The Zaku's Bazooka smoke effect, while cool, requires an extra stand to hold up for long term, which is not necessary a plus.
I'm still not going to get anymore ANIME line unless it's going to be on mad sale.
>>5908518
that's why they used the ANIME design to build the life size gundam in Japan too
no wait, they didn't
Got this today thanks to the anon who posted a link to it earlier in the thread. I'll take a pic of it with some RD's tonight when I get home from work.
