The Chogokin base is nifty, but kinda useless as I don't even buy Chogokins. Wish they made that optional, as its own webshop release or something. 6000~ after discounts is still quite steep for a release that doesn't seem to have many accessories, but he is tall I guess.
Hopefully that nameplate is removable so you could have a generic base, but I doubt it.

Devilman looks like a very basic SHF body with minimal paint so the price is probably due to a low production number and the fact there are hardcore fans who will buy this regardless.

GSC has a near monopoly on the market and has destroyed nearly every company/toyline that has tried to compete with Figmas and Nendoroids. Well they'd probably do those as a limited release anyway, as long as they redid the molds (And from how the R Ver. Sailor Moon looked the last time we saw its prototype, they have improved.) or based them more off later season artstyles they'd be more sensible.

Considering there's so much left in the 90s series to do it'll be kind of a drag to start over with Crystal versions of the inner senshi (Though if they have a lick of sense they'll include parts to switch them to super variations since they do that incrementally in the Manga/Crystal), but hell if they do that maybe we'll see Witches 5 in the far flung future. What's the best way to fix pic related? It's really slight, but the hole is just malformed enough that it won't fit onto a neck peg. My first thought was to heat it up and try to bend it back into shape, but then I remembered the anon who tried to fix phasma's arm like that and melted it.

It's essentially an articulated Fewture figure, if you remember those. Instead of hairy legs it's shiny gothic leather "armor"

Legs come apart on the hips, dunno if it's qc or not, mine not only come apart but there's white ash all over the hip plugs.

He's colored like the 70s one. It's a really odd combo in the design, though he scales with the Fewture Jinmen, which was awesome. If anyone wants a picture or two, just ask.

Boiling water, let the bottom sit in the water (tape it to a stick or something) for like 30 seconds, and then push it on. There's a chance it'll deform the head but most of it should go back to its original shape once it cools.

It has a weird shiny line on the top of the cowl which distracts a little from his mate look. It seems to be a widespread issue, I've seen that line in two reviews already. Otherwise, it's great. Sculpt looks awesome, it poses very well, the joints are tight and the quality is way better than on the other Mafex figures I own (Batnolan v2 and Catwoman). Definitely my favorite Batman figure.

Not a problem IMO. The base outward mouvement is pretty limited (you can get about 70~75°) but you can achieve pretty much any outward angle if you rotate the shoulder's balljoint back first (the arm won't be perfectly aligned with the shoulders seen from above though, it'll be at a 5° angle or so but it's good enough for me).
