By the way, I got these cases at my local arts and crafts store. They're usually used to store beads, etc for jewelery making. I like these especially because you can change the size of the sorting bins to suit your needs.

For domestic stuff they're split between two giant clamshell packaging fronts, from Marvel Select figures. They're like the size of a salad bowl, I don't give a fuck how terrible it looks.

For the import stuff I tend to keep it in their little trays.

Those boxes the toys come in take up way more space and are mostly air. If they're Japanese toys, those boxes take up more space by volume.
Basically, one of those 12x8x3 containers OP has contains more shit that fit in the bubbles of 15 Figma or Figuarts boxes
