I hope we get some stand alone playsets from the line eventually. I love tiny figures and sets.
Although I still love this tiny space bridge.
>>5859786
Damn, every time I see either of them, the more I'm sold on Crashber/Clobbash.
>>5859786
>>5859791
Doubtful we'll get those but you could look for other cyberverse playsets or just playsets for small figures in general. I bet those Age of ultron ones are clearing for pennies right now.
>>5859807
Does anyone have that Quinjet, or any of the ships from their GotG line? I want to see TMs riding those things.
Micro master sets are also good.
>>5859838
I have 3, and I've had no problems to report.
>>5859786
Of course we won't. That's a kids line staple. TR isn't aimed at that demo.
>>5859805
What do these come with?
Fucking hell, I just want the titan masters and they're all sold out.
I could get the 4pack set but I already have Terribull and Crashbash.
>>5859885
aw shit even the 4pack sets are sold out in all the online store sites
FML
>>5859805
I love how the titan master becomes an integral part of the combined mode and isn't just a block to fill a gap or something
>>5859896
But Titan Masters are only good for filling gaps!
>>5859887
>See all of wave 2, and a Siren (plus one other wave 1 dude) on ebay for 20, plus shipping.
>Someone got it immediately.
>>5859911
Is wave 1 some kind of "preview" wave like TFP:First Edition toys? I notice most retailers in my area skipping directly to wave 2 when they finally brought in Titan Returns.
>>5859916
No. Just weird distribution.
>>5859916
Someone fucked up with the distribution at some point, and had both Wave 1, and 2 delivered. Some stores get 1, others get 2. I've only seen wave 1, once.
>Trying to quit Transformers
>only high end imports for me now! SHF, Figma, Hot toys, chogokin master race!
>See Skullcruncher in stores
>eeeh, he's got bad QC, I'll just skip it or get takara's
>See Takara skull on HLJ
>..maaaybe
>Skull sells out
>Fuck, oh well
>People keep posting pics of this glorious bastard
>Buckle down and order one online
Now I'm ordering MP Cheetor and looking at 3Ps. I'm such a sucker for beast formers, I'm probably getting all those TR Decepticons (Hasbro version. Besides Skull, I prefer the Hasbro heads.) Just when I think I'm out, I get drawn right back in.
>>5859941
I'm not surprised if we get more beastformers down the road since they were popular in the media tie-in line.
>>5859767
>Follow your dreams.
I had a dream of voyager Horrorcons.
>>5859941
I'm the same, I was thinking of not buying the regular line tfs and only some masterpiece figures, specifically primal and cheetor, but I ended up wanting the original decepticon headmasters, mostly just cause I only have normal vehicle tfs and they look pretty neat
>>5859767
>my pic was used
Feels good man.
>>5859941
>only high end imports
>SHF, Figma
See, this is where you messed up
>>5859828
From the other thread: from where is that gray plastic you are using as a chest panel for your custom?
Looking at it again, BW II Galvatron is so weird. He almost feels like an older style figure, like late Japanese G1 or even Brave toy, but with BW aesthetics. His articulation is slightly better than the former, but with the chunkiness and everything its like someone glued a Beast wars head on a scrapped prototype. Actually, considering the BWII Predacons where reused mostly late 80's/early 90's molds I guess that makes sense.
>>5860066
...and the grimace makes him look like a TMNT character
So what's the status of Legends weirdwolf? Has anyone got him? delayed like Blurr and Scourge? I missed the preorder window, but i'm quite confident I can get him since people dislike the square head.
>>5860066
LOOK AT 'IS ROUND HEAD.
>>5860065
Looks like Siren's little boat.
>>5859951
Neat.
>>5860075
He's a later release, Blurr and Scourge weren't delayed they are still coming out on time, they just weren't part of the first Japanese wave.
>>5860075
Still a while ways off for Weirdwolf.
>>5860065
Just a random leftover from another custom, I think it was FoC Grimlock light trigger, any small panel can work, that was just what I had at hand.
>>5860093
>>5860100
Cheers, I was worried for a bit there i'd missed him.
Thought I'd ask another question: what's the generals stance on legends highbrow? I don't know If I'd get him, I like how the head is shaped somewhat like the original toys, but that visor man.
>>5860115
Here's what it's meant to look like.
>>5860118
The original.
>>5860122
The tr one.
>>5860123
And what it's based on, this is version I have the most connection to, and all I remember him doing is giving a targetmaster to the cons.
>>5860133
Eh, the top of the tr head is undeniably based on the comic/us cartoon design, and the legends has the general shape of the anime design.
>>5860126
I can't remember him doing anything in the shows, but I loved the original toy so i'm going for the TR.
>>5860179
I might just go for whatever I can get, TR if I can actually find it in shops, legends if I have the online funds.
Has anyone tried to separate a Titan Master's legs? I'm lookin' for a bit more articulation and I could use some results to convince me.
>>5859941
>MP Cheetor
Preordered one as well. I really hope they do a MP Tarantulus next, pretty much every fig of him looks like ass.
That, and a Generations Dinobot. There's so many dinosaur molds at this point, surely they could redeco Scorn or something.
>>5860239
Like your penis, too small for the effort.
But nah the jokes only there because someone else was gonna make it.

I figured you meant because they had Takara Skull and Hardhead in stock, right? Well, I tried and they shipped my order out last night. we'll see how it goes.
They're back in stock at HLJ, too, btw.

>>5860317

>tfw they ship from Hong Kong
>I live in Australia
Meaning I'll get my parcel in at least 2 weeks, if not less. Feels good, man.
>>5860326
Asia market usually gets stupid saturated
Also most Asia market products come over here as well either as true online exclusives or as Platinum editions
>>5860326
>When you realize the scalper prices from US retailers shipping these in will be over $200

>>5860359

>>5860362
130~160 USD
>>5860362
About $100-120.
>>5860362
MSRP $120.
>>5860363
BBTS and TFSource will charge a premium due to the fucking demand. The TRU version sells for $300 and up on ebay, used ones hit $250. No retailer will let these go for under $200 unless for some weird reason demand just vanishes to near nothing. Every penny will be squeezed from these, just you wait.
Being a Soundwavefag is suffering.
>>5860375
>BBTS and TFSource
>shopping there
I get can get cheaper with free shipping just watching Amazon listings.
Hell I snagged MP Shockwave there for $125 with free shipping back when he first drop. Hell most exclusives tend to show up there at not rape prices very early as well. The worse con you get is waiting two weeks for a package but that's a fair trade off to spending 30% more from scummy places like that
>>5860362
Jap version: 130 to 160
US version: 100 t0 130
I think my TM Loudmouth had uneven/deformed antennae in robot mode. Not sure if it was a molding issue, the sprue was cut too close, or I somehow chipped it.
Anyway, it was an eyesore for the two bits to be so uneven so I filed down the other. Sucks, but at least it looks a little more normal now.
>not preordering everything
>especially Masterpiece figures
>waiting for things to go on clearance, never actually get them
why do people do this crybaby reissuers are the worst.
Got my SDCC Fort Max today. I didn't realize he was covered in stickers. I guess I should get some kind of sealant to protect them. What should I get?
And I've noticed that the clear plastic door on his chest can potentially get stressed when it catches on the lip of the hinge; what part should I shave off to fix it?
How are the titan master head/vehicle sets? I'm itching to try a few out since I'm mostly sticking to imports, thus waiting a long time between releases. What vehicles seem like thebest? Any cool combos people have discovered?
>>5860419
They seem fairly pointless and superfluous. Mine go right into the parts box.
>>5860419
I really like all of them. They're fun and have a lot of playability once you get more of the figures. That being said, I like Apeface the best. Skytread, Grimlock, and Brawn are my other favorites in no particular order.
>>5860386
Then you get shit like Onslaught's listing on Amazon for a while, that I swear was the same toy just passed between the same three assholes using it to pass money between eachother.
Last I saw it it was approaching 60 bucks. At that point I just said "fuck it' and waited until BBTS had him at brick and mortar retail prices thanks to him being used as the filler voyager for the Sky Reign wave.
>>5860419
They're alright. Crashbash/Clobber is the best hands down.
>>5860445
Crashbash is pretty great. Apeface looks fun too tho.
>>5860463
Yeah. I already got Clobber, and I'll skip Squeezeplay for Overkill.
>>5860431
I'm glad we're getting more of these beast ones. Fangry looks great.
I just realized Titans return chromedome is literally the same design as Combiner wars Dead End without the combiner plug.
Just how lazy can Hasbro get?
>>5860241
TM Tarantulas is basically show-accurate save for the eyes instead of a visor
>>5860419
the gun modes are goofy in most cases. The head sculpts however look amazing in hand, especially crashbash and Terribull. Also Terribull's head looks good on everything I've put him on so far. I'm hoarding them for my sun when he's older so he can have a nice micro-machine like playset since toys like that just aren't made anymore.
>>5860492
I think they actually admitted to that when they reveal Chromedome.
>>5860492
>Chromedome is a dead end retool meme
here is your (((You))) everyone knows it's the same engineering, but a new mold entirely. Eat a dick.
>>5860492
They reused the engineering. So what? It's still a new mold. Only an autist would be bothered by this.
>>5860495
yes, but his back is one big shell, it's be nice to have one with ab-crunch, wrists, hands that grab things, just more articulation overall. He isn't the best articulated figure in the world.
>>5860326
>http://news.tfw2005.com/2016/08/16/masterpiece-soundwave-getting-asia-reissue-321678
I'm going to Hong Kong in Feburary... hopefully I can find it at a decent price.
>>5860492
Nah, it's just like how Energon Starscream used the same ideas for transformation that G2 Smokescreen used.
Some of those ideas would end up on HftD Terradive (with a dash of Cybertron Sideway's wings on legs).
>>5860518
Question, if you could make your own continuity, how would you handle your Headmasters/Titanmasters- Are the bodies separate entities with their own sparks, or are they unintelligent vehicles/suits that require a pilot operate them?
>>5860542
Tiny robots augment their powers with super suit.
>>5860542
The latter, though the system was thought up in the first place for recon (deploying the titan master), and decreasing "critical points" on a tf, as decaptitation normally kills or at leaves a tf inoperable in battle.
>>5860563
Think of how the head attaches, decapitation would still be bad...
>>5860542
Eliminate them completely.
>>5860565
The titan master head doesn't attach that way in official canon, I think.
Either way, I like to think of the bodies being sparkless drones, so even if that did happen the bot could still kinda fight.
The basic drone idea seems the most sensible, but I like the idea that two separate sparks sort of conjoin and become a superior intelligence that is also more skilled than a regular transformer. But a headless body doing things would look really stupid.
>>5860075

>>5860594

>Takaracuckfagsperg
>>5860594
It's officially JIN-rye but GIN-rye sounds so much cooler.
>>5860594
it's JIN-saotome
>>5860542
Mine's like the Titans Return storybook, where the headmasters give the individual bots special powers. In addition, headmasters can switch between each other during combat and on the fly. If a headmaster is not connected to a bot for more than 10 seconds the bot is incapacitated until a headmaster fuses with it. However when in head mode the headmaster does not have any personality, the main robot is the one in control. The main robot also needs the headmaster to transform between modes, otherwise it is locked until it can bond with a head.
Any decent sites to preorder MP Cheetor off of for Canadians?
>>5860542
Nebulon scientists find a stasis locked transformer, begin experimenting on it to try and use it as a mecha suit. Everything goes better than predicted, and the man/machine interface ends up performing better than either alone.
Queue Decepticon's stealing the technology and using it for their own ends, and a few Autobots voluntarily submitting to the process, knowing full well it leaves them vulnerable if their co-pilot isn't around.

>>5860662
Did you make it look like its been rubbed with sand paper on purpose?
Got Red Superion for cheap, but I want to make it look better. What can I use to paint it that doesn't cost too much?
Received an order from BBTS today with a bunch of Titans Return stuff.
Skullcruncher: Not impressed. Fiddly and the leg gap is really bad.
Galvatron: also pretty crappy. The face gimmick is as bad as I've heard, and the cannon arm is basically unposeable. Very disappointing.
Wheelie: floppy and can't tab together for crap. C'mon Hasbro really?
Rewind: Not bad for a legends figure.
Clobber/Crashbash: Very happy with these. Best of the bunch.
Oh and got MP Shockwave too, excellent figure.
>>5860700
I really dig Wheelie, but I had to do a decent amount of sanding on mine to get it to hold properly.
Finally picked up [in-store] the Hasbro [of Australia] MP Bee (should I mention this was a Toys R' Us in The States [Georgia]?)
Anyone else notice the lack of pins in Spike[Daniel]'s Exosuit's torso/shoulder panels?
>>5860684
Holy shit Brawn has the best gun mode.
If it weren't for his weirdass bike(?) form I would've grabbed more of him.
>>5860700
Wheelie will always be floppy, but the not tabbing issue is a common QC problem. Some copies are fine.

>>5860731
>Some copies are fine.
Are you sure? The tabbing issue is caused by the steel mold much like the floppiness common throughout CW wave 1's Deadend. It is practically impossible to get a good piece unless they reworked the mold.
>>5860714
Was it pinned in the Takara version? And is it a friction joint on this version?
>>5860594
Going by Japanese pronunciation, it should be GIN-rai, but I don't know if it's purposefully mispronounced JIN-rai or not
>>5860700
>Skullcruncher: Not impressed. Fiddly and the leg gap is really bad.
Fiddly? Leg gap? What?
>Galvatron: also pretty crappy. The face gimmick is as bad as I've heard, and the cannon arm is basically unposeable. Very disappointing.
Yeah, I skipped him myself.
>Wheelie: floppy and can't tab together for crap. C'mon Hasbro really?
QC strikes again. Mine tabs in perfectly.
>Rewind: Not bad for a legends figure.
He's pretty good, quickly becoming a favorite of mine thanks to his many uses in brick mode.
>Clobber/Crashbash: Very happy with these. Best of the bunch.
Haven't bought any of the heads, don't know what I'd do with'em to be honest.
>Oh and got MP Shockwave too, excellent figure.
Should've saved yourself the $80 bucks and gotten Quakeblast.
>>5860495
That fig's about 20 years old at this point. Surely they could make an update with all the advances they've made in toy technology since then?
For example the vehicle modes. I love me some triple changers, but Transmetal vehicles are pathetic. Doesn't have to be 100% show-accurate, but if it gets the essence of the character across I'm on board.
>>5860875
>buying a shitty turd party over an official figure

>>5860881
Didn't you hear Anon? Hasbro and 3P's love each other now. It's a friendship for forever.

just go full liberal and back TPP, we don't wanna hear you cry about this anymore. Put up or shut the fuck up.
But we know you're just jealous that they have more talent then you, since you're basically a shitty 3P toy maker that can only make one unauthorized unit at a time, and it's crap.
>go to my local toy store

>Bayformers, Bayformers everywhere
I wouldn't even be mad, except this store has an entire 2 aisles dedicated to adult toy collectors, chock-full of gundam model kits and anime rapeface figures just waiting to be hot glued.
So it's not like "people who're into a cartoon from the 80s" is a demographic they're actively trying to avoid. Would it kill them to put out some CHUG sets?
>>5860492
Does that mean it can combine?
>>5860885
Who's jin again? And what's he done to get people to not like him?
Should CHUG Seekers be Voyager class or Deluxe class?
>>5860883
>that bruticus thigh configuration
Cringe
>>5860889
They can be any class as long as they're good figures, and look decent.
>>5860888
Tried to decide what /toy/ can and can not like. Shilled his ebay page.
>>5860889
Deluxe. Preferrably in scale with the Classic Seeker mold, so they work well next to the Coneheads or classic trio, depending on which set from the new mold you'd want to collect.
We also need them all in consistent decos. Skywarp has a different deco-style than the mass released Thundercracker. (not that it matters since he wasn't released at all where I am) and Ramjet has the Classics update deco which doesn't match the later release of Thrust and Dirge from Generations.
>>5860542
I just treat Transformers as being incredibly adaptable. If their head's removed from their body, that head can adopt a human-sized alt-mode which can scurry away and find itself a new body. It's all plug n play.
I see the bodies less as "unintelligent drones", and more along the lines of two parts of a whole being that can be separated at will. Need a body? Just plug in your head. Don't need a body? Eject. Want a bigger body? Find some other bots and form a Combiner.
>>5860892
>Basically, it won't give you much of a new experience.
A ton of TF's transform similarly. And thats before you even go into shit like Seekers or the Datsun bro's.
>>5860714
what the hell phone why you rotate me?
>>5860732
The Toys R' Us near Town Center Mall in Kennesaw, they had close to half a dozen on the shelves.
>>5860803
I'd assume it's pinned in the Takara version, because my particular individual one has holes for the pins but no pins in the holes.
>>5860904
nb4 they just didn't install the pins
>>5860904
Also, they make note of the [exclusive] Battle Face's existence in the face-swap panels of the Hasbro instruction sheet, but there is just the plain face and slightly open smile face in the box.
He -is- (finally) packaged in alt-mode, which is nice because those Bluestreaks we got were backacged in 'bot mode, making for huge boxes. The Hasbro instructions, though, assume you're starting from 'bot mode and changing him to alt mode.
(Guess what those Hasbro Bluestreak instructions were? Alt to 'bot!)
>>5860905
Of course they didn't, I'm just wondering if anyone else had the same problem.
Just finished with the kits.
Kinda funny how the head master is almost the same size as the current head master.
I guess the titan heads can be used to pretend they are in their normal size.
What's the verdict on TR Powermaster Optimus Prime? It looks a hell of a lot less boxy than the CW Optimus, which I appreciate, but apparently it has the same helmet gimmick as Galvatron, which is worrying. Worth it?
>>5860916
Galvatron has a mask. Blaster and PM Prime have full/near full helmets. So it's really not the same.
>>5860900
>A ton of TF's transform similarly
They could at least have waited a bit longer to give some space after all the DE retools.
>And thats before you even go into shit like Seekers or the Datsun bro's.
I just pick which I like best and leave the others.
>>5860412
Hello fellow sdcc owner, I got some suggestions for stickers, a topmost of matte or gloss model paint from a spray can (I use tamiya) could work or even house safe sprays, or you can just apply superglue on the backside as long as it's not the kind that fuses/melts plastic.
As for the doors no idea, mine has been fine but I'm gentle and keep mine like a statue most of the time
Might've just found a cheap seller for Beast Wars Neo Big Convoy. Should I get him? I know he's one of the worse shellformers out there, but damn it, I like that mold.
>>5860972
He's definitely a great example of a shellformer but it's still a really fun toy. Just be careful because it uses that brown swirly plastic.
Are you still seeing AoE toys in stores?
I am.
>>5860985
It's ALL I see. CW and Prime toys have been few and far between, and I haven't seen a single TR one.
>>5860980
The brown swirly plastic has never given my Big Convoy any grief. Transmetal Megatron is the only one who suffers from it.
>>5860916

Takaracucks are the most deluded people on earth
>>5860954
If I use the gloss spray over the stickers, do I need to tape off the area to prevent overspray? Though I assume I need some overspray in order to seal the stickers to the surface, correct?
>>5861098
Actually, I feel the hasbro one is poorly defined, the details are pale imitations of it's source material.
>>5861103
The only problem is, the Takara one is just a fucking blob of red that has barely any detail. You have to squint to even make out his mouth.
Jesus, surely you aren't this retarded right?
>>5861104
Oh, it's that guy again. It'll be the same deal as it was for Hardhead and Skullcruncher, sloppy in the promo pics, crystal clean on the final product.
Also, your complaint of the "fucking blob of red" is true of the hasbro version, and one of the complaints i've heard of the figure. You should get your eyes checked, that could be a big issue in the future.

Are we talking those gunpla like paper sticker or more expansive foil stickers?
So i'm in london right now and i'm looking for sentinel prime and crashbash. They didn't have any TR figures at hamleys and the RID warriors were overpriced as fuck (more news at eleven) any toy stores or any stores in general where I could find the titans returns line besides smyths ?

>>5861314
Deluxes and voyagers also come with folded instructions, silly anon
>>5861314
Takara mp's are using folded sheets too now, they still have the history but it isn't as comprehensive.

>>5861320
MP Bee is a deluxe class figure. That's what I meant

Even though its marketed as a high end collectors item and priced as much, unlike a deluxe which is akin to mc donalds.
I laughed but anon, you did miss the point, to spell it out, the price paid for the product should entail more even to the manual design, comparing it to a lesser figure which could just print it on the back of the box like the rid2015 figures do is beside the point.
Just because bee is microscopic doesn't mean he isn't a high end collectors piece, he's just a disappointment of one.
THAT said hasbro from all their mp's I've gotten have given out sheets, even the seekers, hasbro just don'tcare for the collectors like the japanese.
I'm waiting for the japanese domestic market to demand toy history material inserted into manuals again, rather than a paragraph talking about the toy's history in the show

Deluxe is my preference. I am not as autistic about a small jet as I am about a big car or giant motorcycle. Robot mode scales well with others and it keeps the CHUG Seekers at a decent price point.
I hope Hasbro does the coneheads or other Seekers like Acid Storm and Sunstorm out of the CW jets since I can use them with Galvatronus or Grand Scourge. The only way that will happen is some boxed set.

>>5861699

>>5861687
The usd/yen dropped considerably since the preorder went up, so unless it rose considerably again It'd actually be cheaper to order from BBTS. As the rate stabilizes it'll probably go back to being easier to import yourself.
I'm sticking with HLJ anyway since The shipping rates for large boxes has stayed more or less steady, and their Proivate warehouse helps a lot. I think their rates for smaller boxes have raised, so if you just order like one or two imports a month it may not be worth it.
>>5861681

>>5861798
I would have gotten a UW Bruticus if I didn't decide to start getting TFC Hades. I just want a Liokaiser.
Not a bad idea. If Takara doesn't make a new Leokaiser, you have Hades, and if their Leokaiser somehow manages to be decent, you can either keep both, sell Hades for a nice profit.
>>5861768
Honestly I like them both. Ginrai looks like a super robot, while Optimus looks like a big, bulky bruiser, just like how I like my Optimus designs. I'm only getting Ginrai because I want him to go with MP star saber, and Lio/Big/Fire Convoy as a JP Leaders shelf, but if I wan't swamped with Optimus toys by now I'd be getting the TR one, too.
Maybe its weird, but I just can't register the Legends one as Optimus. I know he isn't, but considering they shared the same toy origin as designs go I think that's pretty impressive. It makes the look its own.
>>5861803
I don't really want to sell Hades though. He checks a lot of boxes for me and I don't really care about his wobbly legs since I don't go retarded with how I pose my toys. I might only sell them IF we get a Liokaiser that is either MP scaled (which coincidentally even if TFC didn't want their Hades to be MP scaled it kinda end up as one) or another 3p company makes one that is EXTREMELY close to the G1 version; then I might sell it. Other than that even if they reissue the G1 in 3 years for the 30th year anniversary of Victory, I would keep the Hades.

>>5861905
Honestly the John Warden team is the first time I've ever felt like the transformers team really wanted to attempt to do a complete update of g1. Other teams would do an 84 character here, and 86 character there, with no real pattern. the missing headmasters are unfortunate, but I think we'll get them eventually. We just get far less new classics molds a year than G1 ever got.
Regarding Fruticus
Does it's Vortex suffers from weak handfootgun port like the other mold brothers?

Go read Shadowplay arc, the Brainstorm time chase and Megaton Origins. Everything Sentinel is freaking out about is things that were accurate to how the functionalist were.
That line Conjunx Endurae swap fuel in public is a call back to where a teleprompter was reminding people that there was jail time to even try that, public or private. Hell this on in pic related would be seen as a "Trump" reference now.
But that wasn't a Trump reference
This isn't a Trump reference
This is an election year and confirmation bias is crank to 11. No one would make this kind of reach even a year ago but we are nearing the election so anything that can be seen as extremes to each party is seen as a reference or an attack. Sometime the evidence is there like what is happening in Captain America book. Most of the time however it's like this where it's a radical evil and we take absurd connections that are not there.
