It's just a common color choice that Medicos went for (1st releases tend to go for blue colorways) but I imagine they get input from Araki in some form for color suggestions or just reference the various artworks that the series has.

As for green or WF Joseph your best bet is lurking Mandarake or taking your chances with a proxy on Yahoo Auction Japan.

Joseph in general is very good and benefits a lot with his design giving some solid articulation and range of movement. Solid accessory choice also.

Well now you made me feel bad. Your chances of getting green Joseph are incredibly slim, as he's one of the more sought after SAS figures. You could pay an exorbitant amount of money on Jungle or something, but most anons here would stalk him on Mandarake. Basically, he's difficult to find for a good price. Don't buy him on ebay.

For the figure, apart from terrible QC for most SAS figures, he's pretty great. Good accessories and sculpt. The head is kinda small though.

Your only options are Super Action Statues and Real Action Heroes as far as I know.
SAS has three different colorways of Part 3 Jotaro, though none are particularly notable figures. They also made Part 4 Jotaro, who's a bit of a better figure.
RAH made both Part 3 and Part 6 Jotaro. They're really nice figures, though both are gonna be super expensive.

I'm def not the only person who had theirs broken, as I remember the SAS threads back then.

So I'm in Akibahabara atm and I picked up Spice Girl from Mandarake for 1500 yen and I'm pretty happy with her. Dropped into amiami and saw they've got part 4 Jotaro and Part 4 Star Platinum for pretty good prices, just wondering how they are quality wise from those that have bought them. I'm a huge Jotaro fan and it's really tempting just getting up early tomorrow and picking them both up since they're the last ones left.

They are pretty good overall. Star Platinum benefits a lot with the new sculpt giving him much better range of movement than the original Part 3 release whereas Part 4 Jotaro is just a solid release overall. I guess the only thing you may notice is the reissue Jotaro has a much lighter skin tone versus the original's shading.

Is it a fair assumption that this Bruno rerelease will sport lighter skin than the original?

Yeah. Reissues carry over the new skin paint. At the same time I've seen some shots where Medicos seem to go a little heavy on the tan shading so it's not all bad.

Following up on a question I asked last thread about Kira's tie, can somebody get theirs out and look to see if it looks like mine? I think I've identified the problem. The hole where the tie is supposed to go is off-center, as you can see there's much more breathing room on the left than on the right.

I think Giorno's face sculpt looks like shit. They got most of the features right, like his boyish appearance, but they didn't capture the serene/good-natured look he normally has. The SAS's face also looks really squished, which makes him look really ratty, which is a pity since I really like his design.

I got the Old Joseph pictures for a friend of mine when I was in Japan a couple of months ago from a second hand store. But when I gave it to him a month later it turned out that the base was for another figure as the pegs and pegholes do not match..

Honestly white Sex Pistols would look awful on Green Mista. He's already so monochrome and the added white won't help. With such a colour scheme, it's the small amounts of vibrant colour, like the purple gun and orange Pistols offsetting the white and pale green which makes it nice. I felt quite regretful after buying Green Mista on impulse, but I started toreally like him after posing him. Unless you really want your Mista 1st to look perfect, otherwise I think replacing any of Green's much needed colour would ruin that figure's look.

I suppose she looks fine on her own, but I can't shake the feeling that she has a certain "doll-like" appearance that isn't as pronounced in the other figures. They probably tried to make her "cute" since she was literally the only female figure they've made before the two they did for part 6. But they messed that up with her head being a weird shape, her hair being really poofy on her, and the eyes.
On top of that, her skirt limits her leg movements and she's one of the least popular people in part 5 because she has one fight and is never really relevant in the story or among fujioshis again.
Fugo's always dirt cheap too, but that's because there's no real reason to get him unless you want P5 group shots since he equally did nothing and has 2 poses.

I buy other import shit from eBay because you can find really good deals every once and awhile, but I've seen some strange SAS related stuff. Terraformer puts stuff up on their ebay store for really cheap compared to their actual store. Got an opened, but not used Mista for $20 a while back, so not really complaining about that. Also saw them put up a Bruno 1st for really cheap as well before the reissue announcement.
Then you have some users who put up used SAS for $25+$75 shipping. I haven't had any experience buying SAS from Amazon, so I can't really say.
Just be careful, be a smart shopper, compare the prices of all options etc.

The reason why I'm asking is because people say they don't want to pay extra for the actual product, but when someone is talking about shipping, they are willing to pay a large sum of money, just so the product gets here on time under the idea of "if your time is worth your money, you'll pay more to get it here"

Why not let that idea apply to overpriced products on Amazon or eBay? On mandy, Kira/KQ 2nd usually goes for ¥4000/¥5000 each and it's off the shelves almost immediately, making people who are hunting for those products wait for it to pop back up on mandy. Great figures, I'd work on your pose for Jotaro though. He seems a little too stiff.

Try spacing his feet a bit further apart, and have him looking more in the direction he's pointing. Right now his arm is just kind of out to one side and he's looking off into space. Leaning or tilting his torso back or rotating to the side a bit might also help him look less stiff.

Great choice for your first two figures though, just keep experimenting with different poses and you'll get the hang of it!

Just backorder to my knowledge so no reissue.

In a nutshell he's a tall figure and the lanky limbs really benefits him on gaining some good range of movement. Though the figure is actually a sort of 2-way character deal since the source material has fairly similar bodies where they fight each other (Aijin)

One character has an Aijin with the flat face and a set of 5 finger hands and the other Aijin you can swap into has the open and flat head with a set of 6 finger hands and the pistol to hold with.

The whole idea of why one figure has another character's head and items is because Medicos wanted buyers or fans to buy another Aijin SAS to have both fight though I'd imagine you don't care and honestly they do cost a bit last I checked.

Overall he's built fine and the sculpted detail is on point given the simplicity. The open head is really the eye catcher and paint is done very well throughout. Though the real first impression is how he towers over my regular 6 inch figures like Figma and some other SAS's and the base he comes with is much larger than the regular base.

Better ab crunch is desired and the neck joint is probably something I would take extra care about when swapping heads since it seems thin.

And honestly, he's amongst my favourite, if not most favorite figure so far. There's this odd charm he has and the lanky limbs allows for some fun range of movement so I'm not completely restricted by standard Medicos articulation. The only thing I really want now is finding more suitable scale guns for him to hold.

Another shot with the flat head and pistol. Ignore the arm for the base since I managed to snap the peg that goes into his back and I sort of Frankenstein'd a Tamashii Act 5 arm and claw to act as a replacement for now, surprisingly fits the special base he has.

Leg articulation is solid and the overall form is really well done. If I had some spare cash left I'll probably order 1 or two more to display each head and constantly tweak their own display. No real issues has popped up from all the random times I posed and reposed him, no loose limbs or paint problems.

Next to Shinichi from Parasyte, this is probably one of the best non-JoJo SAS's I've come across. Though I haven't tried the Kinnikumen line that sort of died out back then for Medicos.

Got Crazy Diamond the other day, and he's pretty much perfect. Love how his face has a slight smirk, and the paint job is excellent. Makes me wish my Josuke didn't have that awkward seam on his hair and weird bend to his Peace pin, but I love them both anyways.

I have a white Kira and pink Killer Queen on the way, can't wait to face them off and photo shoot again. Does anyone have a pink KQ/white Kira? I'd imagine they'd go well but just curious. I also wonder if it's difficult to find just a spare blonde Kira head out there, but I don't know who'd give that up and where I'd even start to look to buy one.

Considering the lowest I l've seen just the head and hand go for at 4k it's up to you. The color is really nice in hand and the alternate eyes to reflect the artwork he's from is also a nice touch $120 for him is still debatable.

For gods sake, i'm so tired of this. The creature is not called an Aijin, it's called an IBM (Invisible Black Matter). Aijins are the humans that cannot be killed, and the IBM functions like their stands or personas if you will.

As for the figure, It is really good. I'm somewhat confused about it's size however, as IBM are only a little taller than a human in the source material.

I think Medicos saw what they were working with and figured to up the height a bit though I'm not complaining. I'm not sure if they would expand to the one with the wings or leave this release as a one-shot to work on others.
