No legends or voyagers but all the deluxes, getting skullcruncher

The designs of these guys seem so big in pics that i was a bit surprised when i saw them at actual deluxe size in person

Also scourge looks much better in person, blurr is still bad, going takara for both

Never handled a toy whos parts are so desperate to pop off as well. Still, articulation is there and gator mode looks banging.

Initially i really wanted this guy the most, but i think he may end up getting replaced by crox. I wasnt a fan of croxs hands and chest, so asthetically tr is better imo but crox seems way more solid

I like Blurr quite a lot as he is. Don't even care about Brainstorm now. I like the shield a lot and don't care for Brainstorm's version with two unpainted turrets sticking out on the bottom.

Never thought about going Takara. The paintjob isn't worth it to me (a 90 cents silver metallic marker from Wal-Mart can work wonders). Plus I like the peace of mind of knowing I can exchange my toys if I get fucked over by QC.

Are there any Titans Return figures that can transform without removing the headmaster? Just curious.

Is it just me, or are the Hasbro colors of the TR line the worst yet compared to the Takara versions?

Before it was just Takara's got better colors, but now it feels like Hasbro's just plain not BOTHERING with colors anymore. Has the price of paint increased or something?

Honestly I really liked Cybertron Meg's colors in general. The main problems with it really are the white which should have been grey like the rest of him and the green should have been darker or metallic. Basically give him the legend's deco.

Lots of g1 toys can, mostly because they're arms were springloaded canons with "projectile fists" that could be swaped for other projectiles, the toys came first, the cartoon made reference to that feature. Some new toys can do it, but most avoid it for better looking arms.

So I bought Universe2 dinobot yesterday and wow, I guess I understand why people say they don't make tfs like they used to. Dino mode is nice and big, and there's all these tiny little panels and stuff like the flip out bone armor.

I don't have the molds myself, and will likely skip scourge, so I don't know how the parts are laid out out or what parts are painted plastic on Takara's. But at a casual glance, I notice that Hasbro's has some more paint apps(maybe? Could just be plastic showing) that takara doesn't have on vehicle mode. thething is, most people focus on robot mode, so they really should've cut corners on the vehicle mode if anything.Removing some apps on the vehicle mode could've given him better separation in robot mode.

TRU LFT had 1 Brawn Titan Master jammed in a box of Lego blind bags. That was the only TM in the store and i found that one and only that one at the same TRU 2 weeks ago. Now that I think about it, the G1 cartoon was really weird. No other Transformers show had that much episodic nature, all sorts of crazy plots from war skirmishes over resources to alien and human cultural things to supervillain plots to lazily reusing something else to friends misunderstand each other and gen mad to go to the shrink and have a bad experience. And the strange technobabble and making stuff up as it goes on like T-Cogs that make even less sense in context and the shuffling out most of the cast from the start to the end. Truly the result of a bunch of people just trying things to see what sticks instead of a unified vision.

Weird. Never saw a titan master in person till now and its wave 2. Bummer because I wanted Crashbash, but I found clobber so that's okay. Also picked up Apeface and Brawn. Apeface is scary great for Galvatron which is good because I was going to use Crash for a replacement head. Brawn is fine. Gun goes great with Hardhead. Now just to get the rest of the beast bots.

I got it as a small boat to go with my toddler boat. But turns out its 5mm handle is too thick and had to be sanded down to fit, so I do suggest avoiding that TM for that reason until they fix it.

So I got Galvatron today.

Soooo... how fucking bad is Hasbro going to get? Plastic is made from oil, and the price of oil is down, right? Shouldn't we be getting better quality plastic than this for $25? Galvatron feels like utter ass. He just feels so cheap and flimsy, like the plastic is ready to crumble to bits at any moment.

He's cover in stress marks, his legs don't clip together properly, his head gimmick is fucking awful, his cannon doesn't sit properly, the black spike on his cockpit falls off with a gentle breeze... fuck, his purple plastics don't even match. But more than any of that, he just feels cheap cheap CHEAP. McDonald's happy meal toys have sturdier feeling plastic.

Are the rest of the Titans Return toys this fucking bad?
