Striker Manus review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBc-Qk4t_po
>>5851220
looks legit great, can't wait for him and Megs.
>>5851169
>considering buying Sniper and Scouts
>Very small but detailed
>$69.99 + shipping
>>5851242
It MT continues this lime I may be all in.
>>5851294
Only thing thats stopped me is they're all Blaster remolds, and Blaster has a shit alt mode.
>>5851220
Looks nice. I was going to wait for Magnus, but I'm tempted to double dip on the mold.
Its getting harder and harder to wait for MT painted test shot.
>>5851395
The transformation is pretty clever.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzR5IdJmdEQ
Here's a shower thought for you bitches:
What if a 3P company simultaneously released one design at both Classics and MP scale? Take this marshmallow-y Springer for example. I don't have room in my life for a massive 10-inch toy like that, but it's an endearing design that would be tempting at 6 or 7 inches.
>>5851242
What scale is he? MP?
Copying some stranger's post since I fucked up and made a new thread when we already had one:
Any non-Transformer transforming robots you'd like 3Ps to tackle? Bonus if you name a specific company you think would be best. Right now 3Ps are probably my favorite mecha figures. As much as I like Sentinel and Bandai, they're higher end figures can make me feel a bit on edge when fiddling with them.
I'd love a Dancouga for this reason. The sentinel release is a spectacular figure, but absolutely frightening given all the QC issues people have dealt with. Considering the obari proportions on Striker Manus, MAke Toys might make for a good one. Or MMC, since their Predaking is similar to how I'd like for a 3P Dancouga to feel.
I also almost expect a 3P MMPR Megazord at some point, maybe after the movie. I'm not sure if MMPR made much of a splash in China,or if they just had sentai at that point, but it'd probably have a huge western market. Maybe after the 2017 movie starts making waves?
Mother fuckin legends Prime.
>>5851421
Large Voyager.
>>5851429
He's a build a figure, with the 4 remaining Havoc figures.
Not a separate release it seems.
Why?
>>5851415
What are UT doing?!
>>5851421
Slightly larger than average voyager. He's a tiny bit taller than CW Motormaster.
>>5851415
He looks like a Robot Master.
>>5851415
I think the big issue would be the aesthetics issue. I see a lot of people who stick to Classics scale near exclusively bemoan the animation accuracy from newer MPs. And a lot of MP collectors are trying to stick to animation accuracy now. That said, as the animation accuracy is becoming more divisive(see Inferno) I think we'll get to the point where we see more toy/ animation hybrid MPs; and those would probably work as Classics scale releases. Classics starscream seems to be beloved, and he's basically that.
>>5851410
I goddam love the transformation. People often mistake over engineering with good engineering in toys. I can point people to this as a concept of fucking stellar engineering.
It's so simple to execute on the user end. The number of parts to motions needed accomplishing something ratio is nearly perfect. Only minor flaw I can note off the top of my head is the knee cover being used to keep the shins stable. I feel like that could've been more elegant.
>>5851424
If Bandai never gets around to it,
I'd like someone that's not KFC, TFC, or Unique Toys or all their various sister companies (XTrans, DX9, etc) to make a proper perfect transformation GOKIN Might Gaine and Goldran.
A second chance at Captain Shark wouldn't go unappreciated either.
>>5851298
So far, in my opinion, most of the Iron Factory guys have had pretty shit alt. modes. At that size, I'm willing to accept some compromise, but they seem to completely be dissing the alt modes and putting all their effort on the bot modes. I suppose that's what most people buy the figure for, but if I wanted a nice articulated robot, I would buy that. I want something with a good sense of balance that is also an acceptable vehicle.
>>5851562
That's been their MO for all their releases. Official legends do the opposite and focus on the vehicle and the robot be damned. If I want something at that scale the bot mode better be the focus.
To be fair Blaster's vehicle is accurate to one of the comics.
I have come to take your greebles and add them to my own.
But really all combiner hands should have upward palm movement.
>>5851415
I'm going to agree that I would totally be down for this nigga at voyager scale. I'm not sure exactly why other than I'm moving away from the MP lines and I feel he is way too big. The copter mode is larger than that fuckhuge DX9 Blitzwing in jet mode.
The MP schizophrenia going on right now is going to make things not go together. Ironhide and Inferno don't look good next to MP-10 with the lack of detailing, even if I do like the clean designs a lot.
>>5851904
>Ironhide and Inferno don't look good next to MP-10 with the lack of detailing, even if I do like the clean designs a lot
Exactly why it's time for a new Sunbow-accurate MP Optimus to come forth. Just don't ask me to pay for the garbage trailer, and offer it to me at voyager scale too while you're at it.
This is one of my most "I didn't know I needed that" 3Ps right now.
UUUUGGHHH
Just saw the skellybob review of completed Hades Leokaiser
Not sure how I feel about spending that dollaroo on him now
>>5851169
Which (recolored) Ravage figure is that? Don't think I've seen it before...
>>5851984
It's part of the tank Bison's riding. It's the breastmaster (whatever the fuck it's called) of Not-Liokaiser.
>>5851424
I have Sentinel Dancouga. 0 q.c. issues and the build quality is out of control. I don't see any company making a better version ever.
>>5851986
Thanks. He looks completely different at that angle.
>>5851915
I think I prefer the Perfect Effect version with the better proportions.
Still nice, though.
>>5851493
>fucking stellar engineering
Did you just look at the legs? It's better than Apollyon, that's for sure, but it's nowhere close to "stellar". It's still 7/10 at best.
>>5851961
Well for me Hades(Liokaiser) in combined for is a bonus since if you watched the anime they never really combined that often so you actually get to know them more individually. I'm buying them still cause they look amazing also it's not like I'm gonna put the combined mode in a crazy pose if I ever combine them. I would just put him in 1 menacing pose and call it a day.
>>5852098
I think it's something that could have been sold officially, down to the way the fingers are designed to be able to be played with. The price point reflects this mentality. They engineered it smartly, and I think that's brilliant.
I realized one more flaw in addition to the knee. The way the feet unfurl could have been more elegant.
I'm still waiting to see how the Maketoys Megatron turns out before buying an MPish Megs though.
>>5852175
>I'm still waiting to see how the Maketoys Megatron turns out before buying an MPish Megs though.
Same here. I like it a lot but it does look a little "chugified". A more cartoonesque head would definitely help. I hope they'll show a colored sample soon, I'm really impatient to see it and make my mind.
>>5851961
Wait for other reviews. That wasn't one of boobobo's finest vids.
>>5852188
>I hope they'll show a colored sample soon
Too lazy to repost them but they just posted pics on their FB. Kinda torn, I'm not sure if I like it better than DX9's.
>>5852195
It's not his finest but it is his regular review where he hates on everything. He always does that anyways.
>>5852204
>>5852210
Yeah I'm not feeling this...
>>5852210
Wow, I like the look of him, but that headsculpt. Both Dx9 and Apollyon have far superior headsculpts.
>>5852210
They should have colored the hip joints silver to help with the proportions. It's Hasbro Thundercraker all over again.
>>5852215
MT has always been weak in that area imo.
>>5852236
THAT'S what it reminds me off! He may look better in hand but save for the more emotive faces I prefer DX9 ATM.
>>5852399
I'll be waiting for a Takara version... I mean, the DX9 one is pretty great at a glance, but it has plenty of issues. The Maketoys one is nice, but stylized and overly thick/beefy, and the face doesn't quite cut it for me. I wonder how good the gun mode is though. Curious to see if the handle is overly thick.
>>5852429
>I'll be waiting for a Takara version
If they ever do a ver 2.0 its more than likely going to be a tank. Cause I'm sure hasbro will want to sell him over here.
>>5852436
>tank
>first Tank Megs had that fucking awful 90's EXTREME color scheme
Plz no. Gun Megs only in the MP line, plz.
>>5852436
>If they ever do a ver 2.0 its more than likely going to be a tank.
I seriously doubt it.
>Cause I'm sure hasbro will want to sell him over here.
It's not influenced by Hasbro like Generations/Legends are since if I understand correctly the funding primarily comes from Takara themselves unlike these other lines.
>>5852399
Maketoys looks more like a thuggish bruiser/gladiator Megatron.
DX9 looks more like a idealized/sanitized revolutionary Megatron.
Not sure what I prefer.
I'm going to need some in hand plastic density/weight handfeel and general build quality comparisons before I commit to one.
>>5852436
They still could. With a doofy orange tip but they still could.
Do any of you guys have an Ordin on here?
>>5852633
Long as whatever buttplug they stuff up his barrel hole is easily removeable I don't care.
>>5851453
>That said, as the animation accuracy is becoming more divisive
Which is fucking retarded, really.
>>5851220
chibi mode confirmed
>>5852766
>MANLET MODE ACTIVATED
>>5852743
Yes. Only 2-3 members are worth it, you have to fix a bunch of shit to make sure it functions without breaking itself, and you have to floor polish literally every joint that isn't a ratchet after a few months, including pinned knees and all the ball joints. The combiner feet needs pads to keep him from slipping.
Still one of the most proportionate combiners.
surprised how much I ended up liking the truck mode on Striker Manus now that I've seen it in the final colors and everything
it looked like a sloppy afterthought on the grey proto, and I was fine with that because of how great the robot mode is, but it's actually a pretty cool Cybertronian truck cab thing that has some nice lines, looks pretty solid, and evokes his original altmode. Not sure how they pulled that off but the colors just unify everything I guess.
>>5852468
Hasbro still has influence though and could convince takara a Tank megs would work out better.
>>5852633
Hasbro isn't interested in releasing realistic toy guns. That was made clear with Nerf Gun megs.
>>5852750
I got news for you it wouldn't be a remoable plug like they put in 3rd party megs. The whole tip of the barrel would be orange.
>>5851424
Non-GGG Braves and El Dorans mostly. Also some oddities like Gakusaver.
Basically, stuff that Bandai would never do.
>>5852808
Which ones?
Also yeah, you put me off good style :)
>>5852399
Chest on the maktoys one is mistransformed btw.
>>5853268
can you elaborate, like what's supposed to be different
>>5853279
I'm guessing the chest isn't pegged in judging from the two open slots above it.
>>5853281
Yeah. look at a comparison shot with the un-painted prototype. That's why the chest looks wrong.
Soon
Don't have more photos right now but Sunday I will report on if the Jallguar replacement parts work and how the whole thing is.
>>5853301
someone didn't watch bobby's review.
hopefully TFC can just send out replacement parts for the combiner ports so they don't flop like fucking crazy. I had hope for this set too. The individual bots looked so solid in all modes.
Doesn't bode well for poseidon either.
>>5853303
>someone didn't watch bobby's review.
We all did but we should take their reviews with a grain of salt since mileage will vary also its bobo, he fucking hates everything.
>>5853303
I keep telling you people, wait until a combiner is fully released and reviewed before investing. I'm not trying to discourage you from enjoying your toys, I'm trying to prevent you from blowing $600 on a possible piece of shit.
>>5851424
Hey, look at that, I posted this yesterday, now there's an SoC Megazord in the works. Weird.
>>5852838
Takara has said their MP focus is the 84-86 line up. Barring Beastwars of course.
Hasbro has said they can't ever do a gun megs again in the usa, orange plug or not. You can thank the NRA for that.
Hasbro will probably be happy enough selling gun megs to asia and china. Big market there.
Face it, G1 MP Megs is gonna be completely non-USA because you guys love your freedumbs. The irony.
>>5853324
>G1 MP Megs is gonna be completely non-USA
and?
what's wrong with that?
an MP is MP regardless of where it's from.
>>5853332
Because the discussion was about whether or not Hasbro would pressure Takara into doing MP Megatron as a tank.
>hurr jumping into conversations
The fuck happened to these guys. There were protos two years ago even.
>>5853303
Poseidon is actually using entirely new types of combiner ports and ratchets compared the Energon ports TFC has been using since Hercules. There may be hope yet.
>>5852945
Troll is fucking great minus the black plastic looking like it shaves off. Really the best of the lineup and why everything else is disappointing as fuck. Siegfried aside from the sliding joints and knee ratchets that snap is pretty decent too. I also have a soft spot for Alberich but YMMV.
Fenrir is a disappointment with non locking bits everywhere and lose as fuck kibble on the back. Hagen is just looks like a pile of compromise any way you slice it.
>>5853324
Idiot.
>>5853367
Has B&A had anything come out lately?
Just got pic related. Why does no one mention he lights up? I would have purchased him months ago having known that.
>>5852769
>Striker Manlet
>>5853419
Seriously though I'm getting hyped af for this figure.
>>5853427
Right? This line is great too, Rioter is awesome. Can't wait to see some Seekers, which is weird for me because I couldn't care less for them but the dino parts intrigue me.
>>5853408
I own him and I totally forgot he can use batteries. What kind does he need again?
Fucking finally getting a battle tanker.
Glad to see an Optimus one get released with a core robot rather than having to hunt down a laser prime.
>>5853408
Just be careful when you move his legs. Hold it by the actual joint/cut joint when you move them, because the swivel joint isn't fully flushed
>>5851424
>>5852861
>>5851511
I'd love to see Maketoys do some Braves, especially since their Cross-Dimension artwork already looks Brave-inspired.
I just want some smooth surfaces on my transforming robots, man.
Snagged Unique Toys Mania King off evilBay for $65, did I do good? Is Mania King still relevant?
>>5853427
Want.
>>5854108
Which one? The orginal release or animation accurate recolor?
>>5854403
Original.
>>5854403
What's wrong with the face of the one on the left? Like, his crest it deformed or something.
GT longhaul review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SkiKtuPPhQ
>>5854461
Looks pretty spectacular. I feel bad for people who bit the bullet on constructor.
I know the one on the left is Trianix Alpha, what's the other one? Are they supposed to be the same character?
>>5854432
*is
>>5854767
Yes. Both are homages to the old Takara Diaclone toy named DIA BATTLES.
>>5854772
What's the one on the right called? I prefer that one, looks way more 70's super robot.
>>5854783
dia battles
Check it on amiami or HLJ
>>5854108
He is still the best Galvatron we've gotten so far so yes.
>>5854790
What about DX9 Tyrant?
>>5854809
opinions are mixed. One of the deal breakers for me were the hip ratchets. You're either stuck with a wide stance or closed stance
>>5854837
I can see the merits of Mania King...
>>5854859
>>5854809
I think he means Voayger scale-wise. Which is something I would agree with.
>>5854859
Used to own both, sold them. Now that I'm getting Mania King again I feel like I should maybe also reacquire Tyrant.
>>5853427
Ditto. A release should be right around the corner if reviewers are starting to get full-fledged production copies.
>>5855005
>I feel like I should maybe also reacquire Tyrant
Go with sovereign.
Tempting, I wish the space in between the abdominal squares was white though. Bugs me a little.
>>5854917
*Voyager
>>5855163
FT rep said their going to be white on the final release. Speaking of MP peaugh reviews GT Jazz.

>>5855178
>FT rep said their going to be white on the final release.
Phew, good to hear. I'm sold then. Not sure why that triggered me so much.
>>5855187
it was your autism flaring up again
>>5855196
We're all autism here.
>>5851169
All right guys, I have a question. What is the most expensive 3rd Party item/set out there right now? I know that combiner teams can go upwards of $600, but has there ever been anything with a higher price tag?
>>5855308
Not counting combiner sets, I think the most expensive item is Planet X's Omega Supreme or Maketoys' Metroplex, both at the $400ish mark, IIRC.
>>5855308
There was an Ironclad Shockwave which I think was going for $400 mark.
>>5851169
I see you posted in the main Hades thread in TFW looking for the sprue cover for your Leozack.
>>5855092
...I think I have to agree.
>>5855630
Sure was.
But I didnt create the general some anon who got my joke photo did.
Still looking for a sprue cover.
>>5851169
Just got the Transformers in OP's pic.
Are the others a heap of shit just the same? Feeling pretty disappointed.
>>5851415
I actually dig the look of this figure, but it's totally wrong for the MP line.
Who is the best 3p combinst and why is it still quantron???
>inb4 too thin
Good thing I don't pose my figures completely sideways.
>>5856622
Get the shadow fisher kit. Fills out the back by being able to hold on to the cannon part and allows the entire bow to move with the torso when the waist swivels.
Other than that, a few clusterfuck transformations and two weak members and I think I still like him better than Guardia.
GT Hook review. Can't wait to see how devastator turns out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1syCNmWprRY
>>5856537
Well, I'm sorry to hear that; cause now, I will snatch every motherfucker birthday.
so 40 bucks for tiny blackshadow... is he any good? should i jump on that?
>>5851242
Love the robot mode, but I fear the alt mode will be a mess.
>>5856817
Imo, it's pretty cool. Looks like a double barreled holdout blaster.
>>5851438
Yes, why? WHY?!
Uh oh, uncle bobby got his hands on Manus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVGXJDYkePA
>>5856899
And he likes it.
I pinged the main tf thread about this but does any 3p make larger guns for combiner sized figures?
>>5857167
Dr. Wu usually does it.
>>5856650
I could totally see buying an upgrade set for Quantron if it gave him an ab crunch. Otherwise he's pretty perfect for me.
>>5856622
Granted they're the only 3P combiner team I own aside from what I'm convinced is a bootleg of the FP Bruticus upgrade kit but I fucking love Guardia. Granted his torso has a bit of difficulty holding together (though I hear there's a fix for that) but he just looks so good, and he poses so well. Also the transformations are just the right complexity to be fun whilst still being challenging, and the individual bots are sooooo good.
Yeah it's good, it's fucking good.
Hellbat is the only weak link, with his upper half not clipping into the shoulders securely enough, but with the Jallguar fixes, this thing is solid as hell.
>>5857818
I am extremely jealous fampai.
Action robot posted a quick transformation vid for MT Megatron! I was going to go with DX9's but now I'm back on the fence again...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWn6qOCHrmo

>>5858364
You can buy them from Reprolabels.
They sell faction stickers for all your needs, including stickers to add greater detail to figures to make them look more "complete".
>>5858371
The scope has to be removed for transformation. That's a first on a MPish Megatron and it's incredibly lame. Also the front of the lower legs is supposed to be gray.
>>5858442
Who gives a fuck? No, really. He's a gun. Guns have removeable scopes anyway IRL.
>>5858442
>The scope has to be removed for transformation
I read people on TFW crying about this. Of all the things to bitch about. This fandom I swear...

>>5861780
>Still waiting for an MP though
If you want MP scale get TW if you want MP quality go with GT. If you want official CW/UW is as close as you're going to get.
>>5861807
You're out of your mind dude. We're definitely getting several MP Devastators in the coming years just like we got (and we're still getting) several Classics ones.
>>5861810
Gonna need a citation there Tim.
>>5861820
No you don't. What you need is just a little common sense and observation. Devastator is everyone's favorite combiner and the MP line is now the favorite line of most adult collectors. As soon as the first company will reveal the first G1 cartoon accurate and scaled combiner, all the other will announce theirs, just like with Dinobots, just like with Triple Changers, just like with Megatrons. And you can be sure most of them will be Devastators.
>>5861839
The market is over saturated with devs now my friend. Unless its FT I don't seen any other company investing in a costly combiner. Neither will the collector base who will already have one of the three I mentioned on their MP shelf.
Save for the dinobots all the other examples you mentioned don't have a plethora of other options and not as costly to produce.
>>5861892
>The market is over saturated with devs now my friend.
The Classics market.
>Neither will the collector base who will already have one of the three I mentioned on their MP shelf.
That's where you're wrong.
>>5861839
>Devestator is everyone's favorite combiner
>Everyone will be willing to invest 800+ on a second version of something they already own
>Everyone will make new Devys instead of producing things like Landcross and other untouched by CHUG characters/teams
Even the time and money spent to produce a combiner means that they will be produced less than other toys, especially with the current Legends/MP trend. Maybe we'll see a new one in a year but I severely doubt it.
>>5860163
>Now realize
becuase you might be a retard
>>5861909
>implying prices ever stopped most MP collectors
>implying most MP collectors already own a costly Devastator
>implying Landcross is anywhere near the popularity of Devastator
You guys should check out TF boards. Check the collections there, compare the popularity of the different threads (classics/MP, Devastator/other combiners), you'll see you're completely wrong.
Anyway, I'm leaving the discussion before it devolves into namecalling and memes by saying this: believe what you want but you can screencap this : in two years, we'll have AT LEAST 2 MP Devastators to choose from (unless Takara announces a perfect one soon but I doubt it).
Thoughts on Iron Factory Scout,Sniper and Magnus? I just ordered them recently I'm pretty addicted to anything legends class as of late.
So
Chigurh, Evila Star or Transportation Captain?
>>5862079
Sadly, they're all terrible for different reasons.
>>5861932
>You guys should check out TF boards
Its obvious you haven't other wise you'd seen peoples lukewarm reception to MT and DX9 megatron offerings. Mainly because they already own apollyon and don't want to invest in another megs unless its official.
>>5862107
>Apolloyon
So they're suffering from tremendous buyers remorse, is what you're saying?
>>5862121
Well, wouldn't they also suffer from buyer's remorse if they already owned an expensive 3rd party Devastator and a new 3rd party MP-style Devastator was released?
>>5862143
>>5862143
Only if it was shit. Apolloyon is pure shit. It's ugly, it's fragile, it's basically MP5.5.
>>5862195
No arguments there but, the fact is he fills the void on peoples MP shelf like either GT or TW offerings will. Folks just don't want to spend more money on a figure serving that purpose and certainly don't want to sell their existing figure for a loss.
>>5862143
That would imply that MP products are the end all be all of products. Their shockwave was mediocre, their ratchet/ironhide molds had issues, the ramjet had sloppy CC, etc.
Masterpiece TF's aren't what they used to be and they can't be counted on to be better than 3p offerings.
>>5860547
>>5860757
No one else notice the weird vehicle-sexual guy?
>>5861954
Magnus is awesome, Scout and sniper are okay(they are based on a meh mold)but the little Ravage is adorable .
>>5862121
More like massive denial about Apollyon and KFC/XTB being shit.
>>5862228
Ah thanks for the reassurance.
The Scout and Sniper has pretty wonky alt modes but the fanmodes for it seem pretty decent.
>>5862220
What? I was just commenting on the truck's size, not the one talking about fucking cuddling with it.
I'm looking to get some Insecticons.
Besides the aesthetic differences is there anything like QC issues, or things like that between FT and BC?
>>5862348
There's been an issue with people breaking FT Kickbacks wings. Though I'm not sure if it was a QC issue or people hand hamming them. The other two are fine AFAIK. Having owned both sets I say go for FT. The quality and over all feel of them are much better than BC.
>>5860129
I'm not gonna get him, but I kind of like it. What's wrong with it?
>>5862341
Oh, I thought we were doing the Haha meme. My bad.
>tfw wasn't joking though
>>5860129
For now, yes.
But hey at least the IDW one is getting love.
>>5862439
Build quality is fuckawful combined with shoddy engineering and partsforming.
Benny Delectables has a review of that UT Springer up. If it was a voyager or ultra I might have picked it up. So much shit gets shoved into the foot and it transforms cleanly and neatly. The head is just to big, as is the whole bot, while the thighs could have stood out to be longer.

>>5862107
>lukewarm reception to MT and DX9 Megatron
lol
>>5862203
>he fills the void on peoples MP shelf like either GT or TW offerings will. Folks just don't want to spend more money on a figure serving that purpose and certainly don't want to sell their existing figure for a loss.
Exactly, Apolloyon is far from perfect but he fulfills his purpose fine. He scales decently and has a close enough aesthetic to the official MPs.
I got Apolloyon as gift, so I can't really say I have buyers remorse.Though I can't see myself spending $200 for a slight upgrade for the DX9 or MT.
>>5861909
>Landcross
Yes please.
>>5861932
Just because you don't like Landcross or other "obscure" characters in the west doesn't mean people don't like him. Why did you think Star Saber became an MP when not a lot of people knew about him in the western audience or if they did it was mostly the weeb or the idw crowd. Also the Success of Hades even with its wobbly knees in combined mode just opened up Pandora's box for 3p companies to start making Victory stuff that's why Mech Ideas is now making their own version of Liokaiser. Devy is really over saturated now.
>>5862679
Isn't Apollyon the only MP-style Megatron that comes with the stock and barrel accessories?
>all these idiots talking like they have no idea of how the market works
Guys, we will see MP Devy just like we'll see pretty much every G1 including Japanese G1 characters in MP form. Just give it time. And yes, people will buy it. You have to be super new in the TF MP collecting world to think otherwise.
>>5862772
>idiots
I wrote anons, that's the most retarded autocorrect ever.
>>5862778
Most correct autocorrect ever.
>>5851904
As someone who buys these things so I can transform them, I am fine with Springer at this size. It means that transforming him isn't going to be like ROTF Blazemaster where I'm trying to move around a gajillion tiny, fragile shards of thin plastic. I want thick plastic, smooth hinges, snug tabs and solid clicks. Maybe I'm in the tiny minority here, but I don't just want something I can put on my shelf and look at. Otherwise I'd buy Omnigonix Spinout. I'm buying this Springer largely because I fucking love Sworder. Weinermobile aside, I can transform the shit out of that thing and don't have the slightest worry about breaking it. It's the closest I've seen a 3rd party get to that indestructible 1987 G1 plastic I love so much.
>>5862079
Really depends what you value most. I've got Chigurh and Evila. Transportation Captain looks like the simplest transformation and is basically just the G1 toy with better proportions. Evila Star is very good looking as shuttle, ridiculously detailed as a train, and almost-very-good as a robot. That said, transforming him is a nightmare of a million panels. Chigurh looks nothing like any previous Astrotrain and doesn't really fit in with any other aesthetic. That said, the plastic feels fucking indestructible, transformation's fun and smart, and he turns into the Soul Train logo. My fave.
>>5862865
Look into MMC's stuff. It's pretty solid and not very fiddly either. Worst I've encountered is probably Cynicus, who is only "worst" because he's based on a super lanky character so he doesn't have the same heft the rest do.
>>5862873
I've got Hexatron and Azalea. Hexy's plastic is a bit sharp on the fingers, but I'll admit I'm stunned that I'm not afraid to transform Azalea as small and fiddly as she is. Also quite fond of MakeToys Cogwheel & Rearend, and whatever DX9 makes their War In Pocket guys out of. I am definitely looking forward to their Mightron.
>>5862879
Speaking of Not-Arcee, whatever happened to the Feral Queen remolds? Weren't they supposed to become available at some point?
>>5862880
The Feral and Nero Queen debuted at TFCon this year.
>>5862886
Yeah but weren't they supposed to be released after that con too? Or am I mistaken and they were just an exclusive to that con?
>>5862890
They might be holding onto them until TFCon USA, and then put up the rest after.
>>5858432
I would buy the ToyWorld one if I had the money to blow, AND:
• If a new head was released that look good
I agree the proportions look odd when posed in a boring "standing there" stance, but when ToyWorld Devs is dynamically posed it looks awesome, and frankly I don't think the GT Devs will look nearly as good in an action stance. GT Devs also is overly greebly, the head isn't great (but better than TW's) and I truly despise that cement mixer foot having that curled/rounded-up look to the toes.
I won't be buying ANY 3rd party devs after getting hercules. Not unless they are KO'd for a decent price. Spending hundreds is just stupid at this point since within 2-3 years a better version always appears.
Do you guys think there's a chance a company like Maketoys will ever do a CHUG-styled Bruticus? I mean we haven't ever really had an iteration of him in that size class barring Colossus (or Superion for that matter).
>>5863057
Just get UW bruticus with PE add ons.
>>5863075
Hasbro doesn't get my money anymore unfortunately (or fortunately I guess). I'd prefer my Colossus in that case.
>>5862772
>You have to be super new in the TF MP collecting world to think otherwise.
Or have common sense. Like I said here >>5862203 people aren't going to go out and spend MORE money on something that's serving the purpose. Granted some may have passed on all three choices but, the majority haven't.
Just got my Glacialbots set in yesterday and love these guys. If you like stuff with a G1 toy look and don't mind equally G1 articulation they're great fun.
>>5863085
UW is Takara.
>>5863196
>If you like stuff with a G1 toy look
Yes, go on...
>and don't mind equally G1 articulation they're great fun
And you lost me.
>>5863200
Takara and Hasbro are partners. Most transformers toys pass through design teams in both companies at one point or another.
You didn't think that TAKARA WINS AGAIN was serious, did you?
>>5863135
Don't talk about common sense when you're completely wrong, idiot.
>>5863207
>>5863203
Yep, Glacialbots would have been an instant buy if even just the combined mode had the basic 10 points of articulation.
>>5863206
And? Still a different company.
>>5863213
Supporting Takara still direct supports the Transformers brand shared between the two companies and all that entails.
I'm not the guy who isn't buying hastak stuff by the way. I'm just explaining that there is little to no meaningful distinction between Hasbro and Takara as a body that governs the brand when it comes to transformers.
>>5863200
I should have said official stuff doesn't get my money anymore. Still kind of a silly hair to split.
>>5863209
Nobody cares about your stupid memes. Keep your filthy (You)s to yourself.
>>5863234
I think it's silly to have anything but the most mercenary attitude towards buying things. If you happen to find something you like, just buy it. If you don't like an individual thing, thats fine, but it's retarded to just write off a whole company or two, as eventually, they will produce something you want.
>>5863236
(You)
>>5863250
But the thing is is that neither Hasbro nor Takara have produced anything of quality that I would want to purchase for about five years now (opinion). Lack of complexity, moving parts, paint applications, and cheaper materials coupled with an extreme price hike (Ex: CW Deluxes being between $15 to $22) have been a huge turn-off for me. I do buy stuff that I think is great, but unfortunately it just hasn't come from HasTak.
>>5862548
Awful comic, not even that good of a design, but damn that looks great
>>5861417

>>5863075

>>5863075
Holy shit, what the fuck is this photo?
>the thighs have the wheels inside when they shouel be outside in that config
>CW crotchplate, head and arms on UW onslaught
>you can clearly see CW Vortex's missiles on top of UW vortex
>the legbots aren't even connected to the torso, they're obviously shopped on
What the fuck is this shit anon?
>>5863339
I just realized that. The guy probably was too poor to buy his toys so he shopped it and called it his custom.
>>5863339
Maybe it's a mockup of what a person ideally wants? I know a number of people often want parts from both the Hasbro and Takara versions of stuff.
>>5862742
correct.
Ordered this guy, what am I in for?
>>5863978
heads looks kinda flat
>>5863987
It does, but idk, he was cheap and I really like the colors.
>>5863978
The lighter green paint on the face is barely visible, and you can't close his head all the way in vehicle mode, but still a fun little figure.
>>5863978
An oversized G1 Minibot mold with added joints that use questionable tolerances and plastics.
>>5864139
So, be careful?

I really don't know what I think of this thing. Gun mode looks like it's sort of compromised and the headsculpts and chest proportions aren't 100% there, but I love whatever this stupid face is conveying.
Also ab crunch
Possibly our cleanest megs yet
>this face
It's killing me
Regular face is crap though.
>>5864460
>chubby duckface
Aw, I liked this one too.

I wish he were a tad bigger because I love how he looks. Though the arm bots are kinda mediocre.

It's the colours that put me off. They're a bit too...fluorescent? That said if they rereleased him in G2 colours I'd be all over him.

Ahahahahahahahahaha

He's a bit weirdly proportioned but he IS Legends sized. Also he's totally self contained which is awesome.
>Gravity Builder
Assuming the combined mode isn't a heap of junk and I can afford him, he'll be mine.
>Constructor
All that partsforming and he still looks like arse. Shame, because there are things I like about him (arm mechanisms, working treads etc).

DX9 head. The color of the shins and hip joints.
Iron Factory Pick Moe comes with an extra gift. Looks like a sword with a pink transparent blade for flying Moeblob.
Someone tell Iron Factory to make a tiny Tarn. I need him for my Evil Lord to teabag.
