Yeah I think a lot of that comes down to bandai just not knowing shit about the character or that's the only way BP with no claws makes any sense. I usually default to open hands just because having everyone in overly exaggerated stances gets a little silly but his open hands are too tense for that.

I think he'd look even better if he had eyes behind those helmet lenses but he does look way more toku this way.

Yup, Slott introduced her and she was the most boring OC piece of garbage ever, but Robbie Thompson actually wrote her as an interesting character in her solo with a good story. He did the same with Venom Spaceknight, taking a bad concept and making it good.

It helps that her main artist draws in a really nice style, but her replacement artist sucks.

I just bought this set over the weekend. Bought it for the Iron Man, didn't give two shits about the War Machine.

Ended up loving the War Machine, and hating the Iron Man. Neither have incredible articulation, but the War Machine just looks bulky as fuck and really cool. Plus, the shitload of accessories is pretty nice.

Marvelfriends; how did you choose which toy line to collect?

The first figure I ever picked up of anything was a Marvel Select Venom and I absolutely loved it so I've stuck with that line because I like the sculpts and the size. I've only got a few but my only complaint with Select is how many important characters don't have figures or have really old, bad figures (e.g. Frank).

Rogue's eyes are straight, but her hair looks crooked. Kind of disappointed in the feet. They've got less forward range than previous uses of this body. Cable's torso articulation is fantastic--Black Series-style ball-peg. Legs and guns are disappointing, though. Maybe I should have gotten Iceman or Kitty.

I need some real weapons for him, any recommendations?

GO NOW, TODAY, TO WALGREENS, ALL OF THEM, because that's the only way any of your are going to get the X-men legends wave. Every walmart or target area has already been wiped clean of X-men legends, and the only places I've found any of them are at Walgreens. I've already bought and sold Rogue three times and am sitting on a deadpool and Wolverine as we speak.

Also, just because you see one figure from the case out on the shelf doesn't mean they don't have the rest in back--I asked, and the lady found almost the whole rest of the case back there despite doubting they'd be there.

I think it has more to do with the fact that it got a larger edition size. I think overall Hasbro increased the ES of lots of the exclusives cause even the TF ones lasted much longer than in previous years. The Star Wars stuff sold out in about 20 minutes, which isn't very long, but that's twice as long as it took last year.

Hasbro's not that stupid when it comes to these exclusives. If they know something will sell, they make more to meet demand. The Star Wars stuff always goes fast no matter what cause scalpers know SW shit sells like wildfire on the secondary market. It's basically printing money for resellers.

If Hasbro can sell X amount of units this year than I'm sure they'll increase again next year. In the end, it's just more money for them so why not.

There are body molds where you can see fucking veins through their "costumes". It's ridiculous. That kind of muscle definition is impossible even through skin. I wish theyd just ease up on it and add a cloth wrinkle here and there on their molds. That's it, that's all they need to do.

I realize some comics do draw their characters that way, especially in the 90s, but to my knowledge a majority of comics in general don't bring it to that extreme, and atleast put a little effort into making it look like the characters are actually wearing material.

So I just got back from a lot of work driving that took me past 6 Walgreen's stores. No X-Men at any of them, though there were some definitely in the back of the last store I hit. I talked to one employee who said that their Deadpool had already disappeared from the carton before he even saw it, and that nothing had been put out for sale yet. This matches what happened with the Deadpool at the store I found my Rogue and Cable at. The fact of the matter is that normal folks loved the Deadpool movie and it's reflecting in the figure's availability.

Testor's silver enamel, though I'd recommend getting their silver acrylic instead. The enamel I used coated the claws just fine, but it can become a little sticky for other applications.

Really? He's probably on the weaker end of their marvel stuff, but I still think he's solid. There aren't really any QC issues, his articulation is good to great, and I've seen no problems with the paint. My biggest problem is probably how bad the elbow and kneepads look, and even those aren't as bad as some stuff like the Mk. 45 or jango fett. I've had a rough ride with figuarts this year, but he's a winner.

The lack of hands is definitely bullshit though, he'd have been perfect if he came with as many as something like the renewal riders. It would have been nice if he'd come with a paul rudd head, but I'm not missing it.

I guess it's a QC thing, the hips on mine are are almost worryingly stiff. The knees are only average, but he's overall very solid in the posing department. Also let me just say I love his ankles, they're something that bandai and hasbro get wrong more often than not, but they have amazing forward/backwards range on top of the tilt.

I got him too. It isn't great....but I guess it isn't terrible. Nothing broke on mine, which is apparently pretty common for Mafex figures, but his legs are floppy, and his torso is kind of floppy too.

Not worth the asking price, honestly. The Figuarts are better, and the Figuarts 43 was like, 1800 Yen less than this.

I was considering getting the Mafex Mk 45, but considering that shit's like, 7500 Yen or whatever, and the quality on these is questionable at best it's an easy pass.

The Walgreen's that I've seen these in have either had them in one of those cardboard display things on the side of an endcap, or loose and mixed in with the seasonal stuff, not far from where all the shitty SvB toys are kept. Those Walgreen's have also been glutted with Hulkbuster wave and dozens of Ant-Man and Daredevil figures.

Sweet, yeah hoping for Sandman weapons for the inevitable BAF. I went back and got Rogue, she's a neat figure. Same limited articulation from that buck, but the sculpt and paint is really nice. Wolverine is really fantastic though, trying to put them both in a good pose.

If you bought the set not knowing enchantress was listed for dr.strange then.... stop being so casual? If you bought it for exclusivity, that's a personal issue then. Most people buy it to get the figs, not cause they're rare. SDCC had long since strayed from doing obscure and unknown things. I doubt we'd have gotten purple man if he wasn't in JJ. I dod remember when he was in a big hasbro 4 inch display and people lost their shit, but we never got him. Marvel is pretty mainstream now.

Plus... We all knew enchantress was coded in retail stores computers. Either way, I think you got the better enchantress and I begrudgingly will have to buy this one.

Anyone have both Abomination figures (The Raft set and the BAF)? Or any pictures to compare? I am torn on which to get. BAF is more colorful, but Raft in the long term will be cheaper. I don't really want any of the figures from that wave, so would have to buy the parts loose or something.

I'm working on a Dark Avengers team, so far so good. I know they have a Dark Wolverine figure, but the Wolverine now will do as a stand-in for now. Not sure how to handle turning Hawkeye into Dark Hawkeye yet, maybe paint.

I haven't tried it, but it looks like a bad match. The forearm length and the length of the glove itself will make it look like any movie where a character gets his hand cut off or has a hook hand--the arm will be too long appear correct.

Not sure, I've certainly never seen someone hide a Legends there. If I had to guess they just decided to not buy it. I can't blame them too much, that wolverine ended up having some bad QC issues with the paint, but I'm still happy to have it.
