Everyone enjoying their new BvS figures?
>>
>>5836153
I just don't get it.

Do Medicom actually care about this line, or their reputation? They haven't improved at all.
>>
>>5836153
Got mine. I'm being careful with it cause of these pics, but so far it doesn't seem particularly fragile. I'm really liking him.

>>

Watch it and make your own opinions.

And even if this movie sucks, you could still like the characters. Most are sure to pop up again in future DC films.
>>
>>5836411
Yeah, I took a leap of faith went for figuarts Harley because of how good it's looking. I don't hate the costume, but it's also not a good enough design to sell me on appearance alone if she ends up sucking in the movie. Hoping I'll love the movie anyway, or at least like Harley enough to keep the figure, but I suppose worst case scenario is that I just sell it.

Cool shitposting OP.

As far as I know, nobody on /toy/ who has gotten theirs has broke it in half. You lifted that from some ham-hand on twitter.

Judging the reviews and the Hot Topic quality designs, i doubt people will be liking the characters

I've only been finding Deadshots and Harley Quinns in my local stores, so are those the least popular or they the more heavily packed?

>>
>>5837108
Still hyped to get Supes despite the not so great forward ab bend, the heck's up with the missing wire in the cape though? I really hope that was just a qc thing.
>>
just got superman and batman, quick review

batman is pretty great, no loose joints or quality control issues so far. legs seem a little stubby and the chest is obviously a little narrow but overall looks good. the cape has a nice texture to it and falls naturally on the figure. only real problem is the fucking shoulders, they can barely move out at all.

supes isn't so great. lower neck joint popped out immediately, as did the upper ab crunch, and the right leg is very loose. but the sculpt and paintwork is solid and it looks pretty great on a flight stand.

i'd recommend getting batman but not getting superman, unless you really like this look. maybe wait for the mezco.

You're probably a faggot little kiddie that got into 4chan way late in the game
Hot Topic is a store catered towards mall goths/jerbangs
It was their (mall goths/jerbangs) clothes shopping HQ back in the early 2000s
They had a fair selection of band t-shirts and baggy pants with straps all over, that kind of shit
I use past tense because I haven't been in one in over a decade
>>
>>5837253
What the hell? Why is it like that? It's clearly fully wired in the promo pics. Oh well, I guess, but damn, the figure's lucky it looks good. lol Batsy'll be the next one I order, might get the armored one first.

Are you Mezco fanboys or something? I'm pretty glad I can skip paying $100+ for a 6 inch doll.
>>
>>5838240
But it's not good. It's decent. 50 dollars for a figure with barely any outward arm range, narrow ass chest, fat neck, and potential to break.

Yeah I'd rather pay 75 for the Mezco
>>
>>5836411
I just got back from the 8:30, It was good if you are expecting a summer blockbuster movie.

Joker wasn't terrible, his laugh was a bit repetitive and felt a bit forced at times. Margo is so god damn hot and was pretty good as Harley. I'm glad I jumped on the SHF.

My only gripes were that it moved a bit too fast and once it gets going, the the way the story plays out is predictable. Same with the jokes, 75% of them you see coming from a mile away.

I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

Nope.

Just noticing that people are shilling a line a little too hard and the figure looking too thin.

You know what actually has better proportions?
>>
>>5838262

> outward arm range

Not really a big deal considering the poses I've been seeing, but ok. The arms rotate all the way around.

> fat neck

Mezco is easily guilty of this too

> potential to break

Lol ok, as any figure does. At least I don't have to worry about fabric wear from leaving him posed for too long.

I'm willing to bet you that Mafex's posability is easily superior to the Mezco.
>>
>>5838263

The ones I've got have pretty stiff articulation so you can't pull off a lot of poses. The joints are also painted and clear which I've heard made the first batches really brittle. Don't know if they fixed the QC, but mine haven't broken.

Their stands and accessories are really cool though and the paint is nice. If you want something fun to fiddle with and pose, probably not worth it. But if you really like the aesthetic style of the animated series and want a neat little display piece they're more worth it.

>>5838539

It's funny I remember back during the Dredd threads at least two anons from this board had QC problems in the first day or two of release.

Hell the Dredd I got myself had a fucked up zipper and needed to be sent back. Not to mention it's not hard to find qc stories about the TDK batman. Don't pretend your favourite brand is flawless.

I guess since mafex is the thing that is out now, we need a resident company warring autist as 3anon was for the 3A dredd.
>>
>>5838506
They tightened up the fit of the suit to show more muscle definition and improved the face, cowl and cape. I'm guessing this is near-enough the final production version.

>>5838549
I'm calling whatever the fabric equivalent of hamhands is here. I've got two DKR Batmen, and two Dredds, and they're probably the sturdiest collector's figures I own. I also know plenty of other collectors who jumped on One:12 Collective early and have had zero issues with any of the figures released so far, despite messing around with them far harder than I have.
>>
>>5838565

I say undersized because in this case, it's like you shrunk the onesie down and put it over some big muscly guy. What's meant to look baggy on a smaller person ends up stretching out in the gaps, giving it that unnatural appearance.

>>5838644
It's what I thought of the first time I saw them. In comparison, Mego's tend to look more like pajamas.
>>
>>5838648
I have the Mafex pre-ordered for my smaller collection, but if the articulation scheme we've seen so far for these figures carry over to this Batman, I might just get the DCC figure as well so I can put him alongside my TV Flash stuff.

Bullet proof armor, especially the flexible kind he always wears does shit against knives (or sharp mutant claws). Sharp pointy things will cut through kevlar.

and he wears armor all the time, but yes, he'll uparmor mostly when he knows he's going to go up against a lot of baddies with guns.

What kills me about PAKs is that the sculpts are actually very intricate, but the overall look is unattractive, the proportions are bad, and the joint setup is mediocre. I feel like I'd be thrilled to get this level of detail on a figure that's actually good.
>>
>>5840318

Pretty subjective there. That figure is supposed to be wearing a mechanized suit, so I don't really have any problem with his proportions or his look.

Oh, i thought he actually meant lean looking.

Yes, he's a unstable molecule costume muscle man in most pages and covers, but again, there are many examples, famous ones where he's not (near teh end of hsi cable and deadpool run).
I'm okay with either, same way as i am with SpiderMan. Big fan of Bagley, but there's room for other versions.

And that cosplayer comment is pretty shit, considering the fact that the movie Deadpool also isn't painted on costume look.

Except I'd rather get movie DP in this case given how the materials used on the Mezco figure look really cheap in comparison.

That's what I mean by cosplay, specifically in that his muscle definition is hardly visible compared to his usual depictions in the comics. By contrast, the movie design looks more visually striking in how it showcases Reynolds's body structure with various padding and lines to accentuate his physique unlike the Mezco figure which looks as if it's just some guy who put on a cheap Deadpool cosplay.

Are there any well-articulated Batman figures with cloth capes besides the Mezco TDKR and the BvS Mafex?

>Except I'd rather get movie DP in this case given how the materials used on the Mezco figure look really cheap in comparison.
He's had so many costumes that i frankly wouldn't know which is which, despite reading most of the 90s til the end of CandD's run. So I'm okay with most the the designs, because they're all practically the same.

>>5852211
Like with most things, it looks better in person.
Here's one of my own images

wow, Mezco deadpool fucked it up, sure, daredevil looks like he's cloth, but deadpool WEARS A FUCKING CATSUIT OF LEATHER! NOT A TURTLENECK.

the head looks fine, but then the suit is WAAY too lost, it needs to be skintight or almost skintight to look right, or you may as well do dudepeel and give him loose pants and katanahands.

I love how it's impossible to discuss Mezco's One:12 figures because of one assblasted autist. So good.
>>
>>5854191
He's right though, looks like DP is wearing a body sweater.
>>
>>5854364
Yes, which is an opinion it should only take one post to put forth and be done with, not something to derail entire threads over.

All his autistic sperging about 'Pyjama Batman', 'Sweater Deadpool', etc literally amounts to 'I don't like thing'.
>>
>>5853653
God damn, that looks like he is wearing an oversized onesie, why didn't the use a more leathery looking material or one that slightly matches the texture of the head sculpt.
>>
>>5854643

I love One:12 Collective but I agree that Deadlool and Nightmare Batman both look like shit. If you don't think so, good. I'm glad you like them. Let's all stop fucking arguing about it.
>>
>>5854663
This. I'm hopeful for Mezco's One:12 Collective line and even have a couple of figures on order (yellow Daredevil and Reverse Flash to name a few), but Deadpool and Knightmare Batman genuinely look terrible compared to most of their stuff.
>>
>>5854698
i'm still getting this Deadpool cuz Mezco hasnt let me down once the figure is in my hand, but his suit does look like a fuckin onesie. for me it's that belt/waist/crotch portion thats throwin the whole thing off

>doesn't know that ribbed sweaters are actually a thing for special ops
Deadpool's, and Mezco's choice of spandex in general, is still finer than the ribbing seen on these sweaters.
You will have a really hard time seeing the ribbing in person, because that's just how it goes when seeing something finely detailed in person. All the little ribs are blurred together and it just looks like regular spandex, which actually works toward making the figure look better, as the ribbing "captures light" making the costume look matte.
As i said, it just looks better in person.

generally shorter than you'd like, the neck articulation tends to limit looking up and down, and there's no thigh cut so that limits articulation.

Retail versions generally look a lot worse than these press shots.

Nah its trash, though they got the moustache right.

The only good "updated" Deadshot design is Lloyd from Copra. Way too many like AC, AO and SS rely on making him realistic

Many comic shops carry the line, just so you know.
Have another of my pics from personally photographing a Mezco figure at the San Diego Comic Con.

Actually, they look almost identical. I think only that Superman ended up looking different than what was shown. DCC, Mezco, and McFarlane are usually really good at showing you what you'll get.

Hi DCfriends. I don't have too much of a DC collection (other than lego and older comics) at the moment. I tried the DCC Batman: TAS figures but the quality was deplorable.

I have the SH Figuarts Batman. Harley, and Joker. They're all cool, but I'd like some more decent DC toys.

I'm looking into DC Icons and Mafex. How well do they all scale together? I'm not really into the movie shit, but that Deadshot looks really good. I'm also thinking Icons Flash, Green Arrow, and Green Lantern look good.

How do they scale together for purposes of pics and display? If anyone has photos, that'd be extra neat.
>>
>>5857361

Figuarts scales pretty well with Mafex but the DC Icons stuff is way smaller. The DC Icons Batman is about as tall as Figuarts Harley.
>>
>>5858031
Thanks for all the good info. I like that bank robber Joker, too.

It's too bad the DC Icons are so short. I've heard they maybe bumped up the size due to complaints, though?

I know I could go DCUC and maybe they'd fit, but I feel like the articulation and quality aren't really there, even if I like the general aesthetic of the line. I have classic Green Arrow and Hawkman and they're okay... but they don't pose very well.

My GameStop got new management and they've stopped selling toys because they don't sell where I live, all their arkham knight figures are reduced 50% and have a 3 for 2 offer. I just bought six figures for the price of two at full price.

I'm so glad I never bought them when they first came out like I wanted to.

I got Harley, catwoman, batman, scarecrow, red hood and azrael.

I fucking love them, for a 6" 20 dollar figures their amazingly high quality.
>>
>>5858507
that's a good deal. but man I just can't appreciate the Arkham games aesthetic.
>>
>>5858734
I personally love them, it's the perfect blend of comic book and realism. It's a shame they didn't have a joker, the arkham joker has always been in my top 5 favorite joker looks. To each his own I guess.
>>
So whats the best Batfleck on the market? The Mafex? I'm looking at 6 inch scale.
>>

I'm not sure, i think it's just my store, because they've had those figures since the game released and they never sold well, so now they're putting them on a blitz price clearance. Check your local, honestly I doubt they have any of them to begin with.
