Medicos made a switchover to lighter skin apps using Jolyne as the first I think. I know when people got in Josuke reissues the faces were much lighter (and under strong lighting it made the faces look a bit bad)

Personally, I don't like how the ladybugs on Giorno 2nd don't match the bright yellow shoes whereas the WF and Pink Giorno have their shoes and ladybugs in matching colors. Then again, I kind of like the brighter shade of blue compared to the WF (although that's probably me trying to justify why I haven't shelled out the cash for that one). Too bad it includes the pre-donut hair head that I'll never use.

If he's by himself (i.e. without KQ), I'd rather have him in his casual clothes or without the jacket like half of the time he's inside the Kawajiri household, although Medicos would likely never produce those.

Coincidentally, it splits up the Part 4 guys with the high schoolers in blueish uniforms and the adults in white with their primary first releases, but that's probably intentional on Medicos part.

Definitely. I prefer 2nd for Quiet Life Kira and 1st for Kosaku Kira, but I'm not against putting blonde hair on the white suit.

It comes down to space and money management but I think the absolute key to collecting is if you're attached enough to who you buy. It becomes endless if you buy up every little thing if it ticks certain boxes but if it's something you can be behind then it's worth it.

SAS takes one hell of a bite out of a wallet if you want the user+stand combo for display not to mention the colorway releases that Medicos builds on but the execution for the most part is done really well and I hardly regret my collection. Even the non-Jojo SAS's like Aijin really surprised me and I'm usually tinkering with him every so often.

Now Toku/Kamen Rider is what I'm deathly afraid of. I'm carefully treading that slope and those SS releases make it harder to walk.

Boiling water did the trick, but his left hand joint as a whole is generally stiff, no up and down movement at all and I'm unwilling to give it too much pressure to try relieving it as it's quite fine without it.

HA! I can help you with that. I bought a cheap extra Mista (orange and blue version). When I say cheap, I think he cost me like 22 dollars with shipping. His damage was listed as box extremely damaged/opened or something. Box came. A lot of wear. I checked the figure and I noticed an odd issue with his right elbow joint. There is just an odd space. Took the joint apart and there was just a little excess plastic keeping it from completely snapping together. He is missing a tiny bit of paint on his boot.

Recently someone pointed out his hat. The paint is off. I had never noticed it before and this is the Mista I tinker with.

So usually, but not often you may run into issues with the extremely cheap versions of something that costs a little more. I think Mista averages 3000 yen. So paying 22 dollars with shipped isn't bad. I still enjoy messing with him. I don't mind his jacked up hat, but I can see how it's distracting.

First run Mistas had a huge issue with paint application on the hats. They rejected quite a bit from the factory and he quickly became pretty scarce because of that.

What scale are the SAS figures? I know they're 1:12, but do they run short (5.5"), tall (7"), or about the regular 6"?

Okay, thanks. I mostly have NECA figures which tend to run a little tall (closer to 7" than 6") and it's always a little weird when I branch out to figures that are noticeably too small to be in scale with the rest.

I figure worst-case scenario I can just display JoJos separately from my other figures.

I think Killer Queen might be the best quality of all of the ones I have*. The finer details on his hands, belt, shoulders and boots are superb. Recommended at the price.

*I have Josuke 4 original run, Josuke 8, Crazy D, S+W, KQ, Banana DIO and Banana The World. Of these, DIO is quite easily the lowest quality.

Yeah, it's really just the perfect excuse to make a Josuke 8 Second, make it so his chest accessories clip in and include a Kira head, so then you can make him a faithful Kira as well. I'd be in quick as lightning if they did that.

I don't think you'd even necessarily need to make it so you can change his chest either, I think Kira had both the anchor and compass at one point too.

The reissues sort of helped Josuke and Crazy Diamond but back then they were sought after next to the 2nd variants.

Okuyasu is going pretty fast, you mentioned Kira and KQ (though KQ 2nd and Kira 2nd are bought up faster), Jolyne, Giorno 1st it seems from what other anon's are saying but Giorno 2nd is available for preorder.

Part 4 is just going strong, Part 5 is probably the cheapest and easier part to collect for. Part 2 is in a spot where the Pillarmen are sold fast (especially Wham and Kars), Young Joseph has a reissue, Ceasar 1st is something I don't see often, Ceasar 2nd is the easiest to hunt for. WF Joseph is an obvious one that would sell fast if the price hits the right point. Part 1 shouldn't be too much of an issue, and Part 6 sort of sits there with stuff like Hermes and Kiss.

Usually limited run variants of stuff like WonFes exclusives tend to be a bit harder to find; either in-stock or for a decent price.

By far, Okuyasu, Kira&KQ and WF Joseph will almost always be gone instantly, Old Joseph, the pillar men and Pink Giorno and occasionally a few others will seemingly disappear before they even show up.

Hard to say. I've made the call before that Medicos won't reissue recolors and would rather focus on the 1st versions moreso than 2nd or 3rd for whatever reason.

I've gotten my last three alerts successfully and theyve all been instant sellers 2 things you have to note.

1. A lot of the times they list on the japanese site first by up to 15 minutes. When making your notifications make sure to have mandys shitty mistranslations as well as the english listing.

2. May be related to my last point but sometimes listings arent sold out. Mandy's website is terrible and sometimes when they're mid update they're shown as sold out. If you wait a bit sometimes it will change from sold out to in stock. If you click the item and the price is different this is most likely whats happening.
