I own it, and I love it except for one blaring issue: it has the same soundboard as Luke's blue saber.

While still insanely cool to have, shines bright and the motion sound is accurate to your movement... it doesn't sound like his lightsaber in Return of the Jedi, which made me feel completely underwhelmed. I still enjoy it, though. How can I not?

It's alright. Probably not the best in the world, but it's the best I've got (other one is the Black Series). The two capes it comes with are complete garbage, but the figure has relatively good articulation and the chrome look is really striking. Portions of Phasma are identical to pieces of the Trooper, so if you have one, you know what you're in for with the other.
The cape on mine was made from an Apple microfiber cloth and a couple of small magnets. It still needs a little work, but that particular microfiber cloth seems to be the best for that cape at this scale.

And what happened to the post decrying my posing? That's really weird that it's gone. My poses do suck.

I also had no prior experience with model kits. Just make sure you've got a pair of snippers, spare X-acto blades, and maybe a fine file. I started with the astromech kits while I was waiting on Phasma and 3PO to come in. Those don't have any chrome to scuff or chip off, and they're pretty complex so once you get to Phasma or a Trooper, those seem really simple by comparison, and you have a better idea of where to cut the nubs.

Also, kit Phasma puts the BS Phasma to shame.

Bandai kits are really easy to follow as they are just visual instructions. Give the guide in the Gunpla thread a read too, while it's not a Gundam a lot of the techniques are the same, so you will probably feel a lot more confident about trying your hand at one of the kits.

I just got the Mafex Bats and Supes, no obvious QC issues I can see and the sculpts are dope. I also have their current Vader and aside from a kind of floppy toe that was easy to fix, he's great too. I love the capes.

Only problem I have with them is they are kind of big, a plus for Vader since I want him to tower, but I'm concerned about the FO stormies coming, I assume they will be a fair bit bigger than my SHF Kylo.

Can somebody tell me where to get the Clone Trooper Model Kit with shipping to Europe? The cheapest Ebay listing is nearly 30€ and the only other shop site I found is J-subculture which is just marginally cheaper. I find most of the other 2500 yen model kits for 20 to 25€ on Ebay but since the A-Wing they all charge around 30€ for the 2500 yen kits which is unfortunate since my country wants 5€ in taxes/toll for purchases above 26,80 or something like that and 35€ for a lone trooper is not worth it.

Most of the joints were glued solid, and while I got 90% of the way to making it work using a drill and some hot/cold treatment, I'd need to buy a bunch of revoltech joints to get him to a playable state. Got in the Figuarts Riot Trooper today! Really happy to have him, though I do notice the weaker QC on him that people have reported compared to the standard release trooper. The paint apps on the Riot's helmet are not nearly as clean as the standard tooper's, and one of his pouches had fallen off in the package due to not being glued sufficiently (fortunately it just tabs back onto his belt well enough even without any glue, though I may superglue it in place later).

Still, he looks absolutely awesome with the baton and shield as they really complement the Figuarts sculpt. Really looking forward to the heavy gunner later this month.

If you're just looking for troopers in general, the Black Series ones are pretty good. I love their OT stormtrooper mold, and even the First Order Stormtrooper looks pretty good (though it suffers a bit from limited elbow joints). The Black Series FO Snowtrooper is particularly fantastic looking, really love that one, especially the TRU Officer version. You can get that one here:

The OT and FO TIE Pilots are both nice as well, and we're getting an OT Snowtrooper soon too which looks great. They also released a couple Clone Trooper variants, which again are pretty cool figures for the price.

I just bought the Teppo Ashigaru Sandtrooper, and opened it, and underneath the armored skirt is a protective layer of plastic.

I have very little experience with these kinds of figures, so I have no idea if it's safe to remove the torso to git rid of that plastic. I love the minifigs, and have the Inquisitor's TIE fighter on display.
