I challenge you guys to show me a collection of Transformers that doesn't look like a complete clusterfuck like that. I think I may have seen ONE...maybe two collections with Transformers that didn't look like someone vomited up multicolored plastic. Smoke of any kind tends to seep into plastics and stays in it. You need to be careful. Try giving your toys (or any other plastic object in your room) to someone with a good nose and they'll be able to smell the smoke.

I don't see the need to use risers because Transformers come in various shapes and sizes. It's not like collecting Star Wars, G.I. Joe, or NECA figures that are all the same height and need stadium style displays to get the full affect. The only reason this looks like a clusterfuck to you is that it's a wide shot of my whole room and not individuals shots of each shelf.

No, the reason it looks like a cluster fuck is because of the bland posing, and the fact that all your figures are huddled up next to each other. If you'd at least space the figures out, not have so much shit on just one shelf, and put them in interesting poses, it'd help a lot. Acrylic stands will help with the problem of the figures all being on the same level and looking huddled up, though.

Most of /toy/ thinks a glass case makes their collection sofistimukated, but you can tell they have no idea what they're doing.
They buy a Detolf, something that's supposed to be viewed from 4 sides, yet what do they do with it? Stick it against a wall, blocking the rear view and then put two more on either side, blocking the other views.

Sometimes /toy/ is like the redneck being invited to a pool party and finding him taking a bath in the hot tub.

Stuff like Billys are highly customizable, with more space, and won't indebt you like your normal toy collecting does.
I'm not a fan of billy though, but i do own one. There's better stuff out there, but we're moving upwards in cost after this.

I found this method just by google searching, it's honestly not the best method (best would be actually measuring and welding new iron bars yourself, then painting them), but it works.

You use these rope tie things that you can get at a hardware store, I think they are 9/16" ones and you measure, mark the metal rod and then screw them in around the pole in the corner. It works out such that each corner will hold part of the glass up. What I did in addition to the clips is to use some felt moving pads which I cut into rectangles and placed on the four corners of the class to prevent the metal from scratching it, also helps keep it in place more securely.

It's a crude method, but effective.

Well, I didn't build the thing, the previous owner did, but I still like it a lot. Massive upgrade from my previous workspace / room (pic related).
The hallway I think is just basically two dead ends, I think this was a bedroom, and they basically cut out part of it and created a small closet space, the door in it leads to a walk-in attic with plenty of storage space. I keep my Lego stuff in one end, litter box in the other so it works out really well actually.

It's actually not cramped at all though, the room is a lot larger than the photos make it seem, about 300 square feet.
