>yfw we're finally going to get a good Shredder figure
HYPEEE
Bandai's SH Figurarts turtles will be accompanied by this bad ass motherfucker. More to be revealed later this week!
>>5802974
>More to be revealed later this week!
You almost fooled me viral marketer.
>>5802978
Huh? There's gonna be more at their booth during San-Diego Comic Con, I assume. That's all I meant by it.
>>5802974
the best. I did not grow up with tmnt however i wanted to know why it was so beloved so i watched the original series..and i got to say its alot of fun! really self aware stuff!! the best part is definately shredder and krang so lets get a krang too oooooooookaaaay!!
>>5802974
>More to be revealed later this week!
They teased '90 movie turtles for SDCC back when the cartoon figs were announced. S'all I want.
We definitely need some Shredder though, holy fuck why did it take so long?
>>5802974
my name is shredder and i love all living things.
If your dicks weren't hard before, they will be now.
>>5803401
>>5803401
Nice, shame, they're oversized 1/4th scale garbage, however.
>>5803401
>That display on the bottom
>They'll never be allowed to sell that because of fucking Playmates
>>5803401
>the turtle figures of my dreams
>1/4 scale
>>5804172
These seem like display models. Regular 7in version are probably going to be sold with the DVDs like Heath Ledger Joker. At least that's what I hope they do since they can't release TMNT as regular figures due to Playmates.
>>5802974
Damn, this looks hot.
>>5804586
Except NECA Said they were doing 1/4 scale movie turtles a few months back.
>>5804880http://necaonline.com/55462/products/toys/large-scale-figures/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-1990-movie-14-scale-action-figure-donatello/
>>5804586
i really fucking hope so cause these things are so goddamn big and i cant really afford them either
>>5804526
What's wrong with 1/4 scale toys?
Can someone please explain it to me.
Thanks
>>5807338
Cost a lot more and not to scale with NECA main line figures.
Anyone get their arcade tmnt's yet? I thought they distributed them yesterday
>>5807382
Shartimus has a review up. For me, the pixel paint isn't for me. I'd rather have the toon paint job. That's why I'm waiting of the figuarts announcement after seeing their glorious toon Shredder.
>>5807369
Considering the scale of the figuarts and price, they seem like a decent idea.
And if I understand correctly, the articulation isn't all that bad.
Did only one person take fucking pictures of the 1/4 movie turtles?
I can't find any info or decent pictures of them.
Toyark decided to slap their fucking watermark right over the figures too, the worst one being Leonardo which I can't see the face of
got all 4 of these for $84.11
did I do good?
>INB4 not figma
>INB4 westernshit
>>5811708
Considering they look nothing like the source material, and they've been shelfwarming pretty hard to the point where they'll probably be clearanced....no, you done goofed.
>>5811708
I literally saw all four sitting on a shelf for that price at my local texas walmart. I think they come 4 per box, so its not a particularly nice deal, but they look good
>>5811708
I've got mixed feelings on these, but all I know is I want Tokka & Rahzar, and a Super Shredder. So I'm hoping they announce those at SDCC soon, cuz assuming they're not in the pipeline already I doubt they'll exist, due to the aforemention peg-warming.
>>5811708
>spending money on inaccurate shitty Playmates toys
>spending money on further inaccurate variants of shitty Playmates toys
>buying those when NECA is doing Henson turtles & Bandai said they're in the process of trying to do the same in a smaller scale
no you fucked up big time
>>5812443
playmates didnt even have a panel this year, all they announced was a bunch of cancellations & a wave where the turtles are cosplaying wwe wrestlers
I almost regret missing these guys. they even had some left over before the exhibit closed.
the current aftermarket didnt make them any more worth it.
>>5813148
Had to pay scalper prices of almost 400 for both sets together. Doesn't matter to me since thats what I had been expecting to pay since their prices were announced. Therefore, I had been saving up for em. Should have them Thursday.
Did anyome who actually got them post reviews/pics besides pixel dan and shartimus?
>>5813148
I paid $360 for the two sets. I feel pretty okay with that considering the SDCC hell.
>>5813148
As great as those sculpts are, I can't get past the shitty pixel look.
Easy pass.
>>5813590
I paid $180 for the turtle set. Cheaper than a SDCC ticket + airfare + hotel + buying them at the con
>>5814135
>shitty pixel look
Yeeeah, no. That's part of what makes these sets so great.
>>5814342
To each their own The pixel look doesn't appeal to me.
Especially when it doesn't even match the palette used int he game, and it has shit liked 45 rotation pixels on the shells and belts.
>>5814135
Learn to paint. Depending on the plastic used you might even be able to use acetone to remove the pixelation. They will destroy hard plastics but work great on the softer Plastics generally used on arms and legs.
>>5803401
Man, there seems to be absolutely no hype for these.
Is the scale really turning people off?
>>5814854
Believe it or not, people don't really want to spend 400 bucks on turtles that won't fit in with anything else in their collection
>>5814880
I just found out about these
Apparently Donatello was revealed much earlier
And he already sold out
>>5813148
A friend of mine went to the con on Thurs and got both sets for me for the actual price $200 total. He just walked right to the booth and got it.
Feels good.
> feels good.
>>5814861
I rather spend 400 on 18 inch awesome movie turtles than 240 on 5 inch party plates turtles.
>>5814917
I would spend $400 for 1/12 versions of those Neca figures. Money isn't the problem, I just don't want anything that big. I don't even like 1/6. Shit just takes up too much space.
>>5814854
I want to be super hyped but they're too fucking big. They're actually bigger than 1/4 scale and they won't fit in a detolf. I would gladly shell out $400 for figs this accurate if I could display them anywhere.
>>5813148
I've never given into the bullshit SDCC aftermarket for anything but I shelled out $300 shipped for both sets. These look like the coolest fucking TMNT toys ever made.
>>5814911
almost all comic con exclusives this year were just walk in, walk out type things.
Almost no lines for anything. Even Hasbro booth stuff was relatively easy to get if you didn't want rogue girl and went in the afternoon when anyone could walk in. 5 minute line times at that time.
Oh man. So many great choices for TMNT these days after years of the stifling PlayMates monopoly. I'm personally most interested in the ones from DreamEX, but I hadn't heard of the company before they got into TMNT so I worry they're some fly-by-night operation that won't last to do a whole series.
Where's a titty monster April?!
Pain is never getting this badass...
>>5816589
You do realize that them using those parts to make the new Shredder and Footsoldier mean that we're very likely getting this figure in the future, right?
Any chance of the new NECA TMNT getting bootlegs like the old ones?
>>5817165
Those old bootlegs turned up because the factory sold or stole the molds so if NECA has learnt their lesson then it's unlikely sorry.
Are we EVER gonna get figures of the 2K3 turtles or at least ones with colored bandanas, no pupils, and no belt letters? Or are we doomed to more 80s cartoon circlejerking up the ass?
>>5817211
Nobody cares about 2K3.
>>5817213
Which sucks because it completely blows the 80s one out of the water.
Fucking 80sfags controlling entertainment.
>>5802974
When I was little I had a Shredder. I still might have his somewhere actually. I wouldn't pay more than $24.99 for the one in OPs pic tho. That is unless the mask is removable and you can see what his face actually looks like.
In case you guys missed it, NECA has 2 new Shredders coming in some form.
>>5816589
Isn't 4 pack Shredder just a repaint of this?
>>5819073
No, it's a partially resculpted figure.
>>5818920
Best Shredder needs a figure. Would be nice if he were one of them.
>>5802974
Will the cape be removeable
>>5819073
The blades, hands, body, and legs are. But the head isn't.
>>5819234
>But the head isn't.
It looks exactly the same.
>>5819237
>Sauce?
Pixel Dan's interview with Randy. Randy specifically says they have 2 new Shredders sculpted, that aren't just repaints of the video game Shredder.
>>5819104
It's figuarts, so, you can probably pop the head off and slip the cape off over the neck.
>>5817229
Figuarts come loaded with accessories and interchangeable faces and hands. Probably going to cost $45-$50.
