Honestly I'm looking through my collection and I think it's the case more often than not.

Looking at you Chogokin Galliar. Everything was nearly perfect until I realized this. It's a shame, I feel like the figure could definitely have been made to accommodate it even with the transformation.

DMC3 Dante, looks very bad from any angle unless something on the box.

War Machine, cant stand, looks awkward, joints are awful.

Had an Eva-00 that fit that description. That "one pose" wasn't even good. I can't remember the brand but it was only like 20 bucks. Paint wasn't bad though.

Thing that gets me is that it had swappable hands and accessories so it was like it was trying to escape that convention, but ultimately failing.

Also had Marvel Select (I think; didn't have the box) Ultimate Hulk like that. I should have known from the start when such a large figure was so light. Should have gotten the Black Stormtrooper instead.

Ball joints, I've always wanted a figure that can just come apart! I certainly didn't pay good money for something that is sturdy and will last. Ball joints are always perfect and never have qc issues. I'd sacrifice the 10 degrees of rotation in a hip for something that didn't allow my toys to pop apart with little to no effort.

Sounds like one of those old Kaiyodo/Xebec figures, they were the ooooold Evangelion figures and came in posed and standing still versions.

I wish the SoC line was like the classic chogokin lines in that respect. They'd part out figures so you had an alternative to buying the set. That said, I can't see GGG's other components selling well if they did that, but I digress. I have GGG, but I'd love to have a standalone Gaigar.
