Are these the ones coming out this year in the US?
>>
>>5799558
Most likely, not. Nova Neptune may see a US release next year, but the blackV2 is a B-57 exclusive. The given info suggests we're gonna get V2BV, K2LP, S2KU, and R2GR first. If we're lucky, we may even get D2FJ, W2VO, H2UC, and O2TX, as well.
>>
>>5799536
Draciel and Driger are in randoom boosters, does anyone know any way to buy crates or something where you're guaranteed one of each Beys? Similar thing happens with trading cards.

Anyway, am ffucking hyped. Disappointed Draciel doesn't come with a recoloured Orbit, but I've been waiting for a Neptune upgrade forever and am excited that Dranzer will have its Trans in blue.

>mom sold all my Beyblades when I was ten
>mfw looking now and seeing it would cost more than $100 to try to recreate my main one

It triggers my autism at least once a week that my Beyblades all exist somewhere in the world right now, probably even within 100 miles of me, and I will never, ever, ever be able to have those exact pieces ever again.
>>
>>5814425
Out of curiosity, what was your combo?
>>
>>5815357
Black Dranzer F top, illegal superheavy defense ring that everyone used to use because That Kid would refuse not to so you might as well, Metal Draciel base. Could spin for five minutes with the medium extra length ripchord.

I see Black Dranzer alone going for $80+ now on ebay ferfuck's sake. Metal Draciel doesn't even seem to exist in the world anymore.

I had a shit tonne of others I really liked like Galzzly and some other pretty rare ones like original Driger and stuff. Loved them things.
>>
>>5815418
My cousin actually managed to find Metal Draciel in a garage sale lot, but the Metal Sting base tip is worn out. Plus, it was covered in neon orange spraypaint for some reason.
>>
>>5815418
If you don't mind blue, you could just get Dranzer F and Master Dranzer.
>>
>>5815437
Ah yeah the metal tip was like the key component to the spin-time. That and basically being perfectly round with the Black Dranzer attack ring and round weight disk.

Hasbro should really think about relaunching a nostalgiafag Beyblade line like Yugioh when they starting launching those boxes and packs that just had classic cards from Battle City and earlier. they'd probs make a killing off of suckers like me.

>>5815442
But then it's not edgey and cool and rare not visually the same and it all relies on building the childish fantasy that I have the same one back again.
>>
>>5815452
Well, as noted above, TakaraTomy is rereleasing Dragoon, Dranzer, Draciel, and Driger for Burst. It wouldn't surprise me if Hasbro decides to release them in the US.
>>
>>5815461
Neat, will probs get them and hope they do more like Galzzly and whatever the fuck that weird ass Eagle baseball player American guy one was. Never had it but the IRL one with the spring in it seemed neato.
>>
>>5815463
I have 2 of those Trygles.

Personally, I want to see them do Draciel MBD and Galeon.
>>
>>5815468
Ohhh I just noticed they're not doing Draciel with the ball bearings that's kind of really shitty. My friend had one of those it was sweet. Same with Galeon.

It'd definitely be dandy if they just rereleased the original series, would probs be money in it for them. Everoyne seems to be cashing in on nostalgiapoints these days.
>>
>>5815481
I'm hoping the fact the named these Driger SHF, Draciel S CP etc. means that we're getting the F series at least.

>black dranzer f in burst

Anyone know if this site is legit? I contacted the seller and he said that the 11,000 yen (£80) includes ONE of EVERY blade in the selection. Don't want to drop that much if this isn't the case. How do sellers like this guarantee this in "unopened" condition? Are they straight from the factory?

From Hato on the WBO.

>I have gotten some news from somebody I mutually know who lives in New Jersey. He went to a K-Mart and asked about Beyblade Burst. The women told him that she was expecting them to arrive Thursday, and added that her son has been asking about it too. I half expect it to not come in and am trying to not get my hopes up, as he called Target before and they said they had Beyblade Burst, but when he went it was just Shogun Steel.

>Take it as you wish, may happen, but this is not confirmed.

Keep your eyes peeled. Beyblade Burst might hit US stores this weekend.

>>
>>5843714
Zephyr flew under the radar, but I liked it as a midpoint between Accel and Xtreme. As long as Trans can perform simlarly in attack mode as Zephyr I'll be happy, but if the stamina is good too it'll be neat for my Neptune combo as I wouldn't have to switch drivers and can use it to burst finish blades with better stamina (like DHS).

Yeah I had one but I can't find it. These blades are really old and we've moved house a few times so some are either boxed away or were accidentally thrown out.

I didn't take any preservative care with my beyblades (launching on the school playground, launching at walls, etc.) but when the metal series released I made an effort out of nostalgia. I sellotaped the peeled stickers on my Dragoon S and replaced the now-absent rubber tip with this random thing.

It's not great for play but it's my first ever beyblade so I appreciate the scans. I need to clean it now.

>>
>>5869181
Basalt Horogium is a great out of the box defense type with a heavy metal wheel, but it suffers from lower friction due to its WD bottom. The way I see it, you have 2 options.

1. Build a strong attack combo and hope Basalt's recoil aids you.

2. Build a pure endurance combo to outspin it.

Why are you even wanting to build an HMS combo to battle an MFB bey?
>>
>>5869400I was thinking attack, you think I can build something decent out of driger ms and strata dragoon ms?

I don't have any mfbs but I di have the above two hms ones
>>
>>5869642
I'd say your best combo would be

AR: Metal Upper(Driger MS)

WD: Circle Heavy(Driger MS)

RC: Flat Core(Gaia Dragoon MS)

That should be a decent attack type combo, but it probably won't be enough to knock out Horogium.
>>
>>5869853
I've been using my stock my stock strata dragoon and it's getting close to a draw using spin steal. would creating a proper spin steal combo be better than attack?
>>
>>5870008
Try using a plastics weight disc instead of Gaia Dragoon's saucer. That's what we used to do when HSM came out.
>>
>>5870008
Metal Saucer is a good attack ring for spin stealing, but Driger MS's Semi-flat core may give you balance issues.

Personally, if you really want a good HMS endurance combo, you may want to look into Wolborg MS.

>Double packs come with no launchers
I know I'll end up with a shit ton of launchers over time, but why is Hasbro cheaping out? They used to be generous with deals and stuff.

Also, lack of compatibility does suck, but it might be better in the long term if it stops teeth wear.
>>
>>5894241
Maybe they don't want to put all their eggs in one basket, yet. After all, this is a soft launch. I don't really have much of a problem with it simply because TT has done the same thing with their boosters. Hey, you know what's funny? Buying the 2-packs are actually cheaper than buying two starters.

>it might be better in the long term if it stops teeth wear.
I agree with you, but I wish they didn't have to do it at the expense of customization.
>>
>>5894449
>I agree with you, but I wish they didn't have to do it at the expense of customization.
That definitely sucks a lot, but hopefully either the TT or Hasbro releases will be slightly changed down the line to allow cross compatibility.

I wonder what the Japanese players will do when they find out about the Hasbro releases. I heard Japanese players imported Hasbro Bearing Stingers, because it had a better shaft than the TT one.
>>
>>5895513
I don't know about others, but I think WARI-BEY might import a few of them.

Hello friendos.

I would like to get into the Beyblade scene.

What beyblades would be good to pick up for a beginner? And what are some articles I can read up on to figure out the strategy.

Thank you
>>
>>5899748
I can give you a basic run down as someone who was confused by the whole metagame.

In the current line, Burst, each top has three parts:

Layer
Disc
Driver

When you buy a Beyblade it'll be named something like Neptune Armed Massive, which is the name of the layer, disc and driver in that order. When you're looking at combos they will also be named in that order. You can browse the WBO forums for guidance on combos but the basic strategy goes like this.

There are four main types, attack, defence, stamina and balance.

Attack blades are aggressive but don't spin for long, so technique is required in launches to get them to attack before they run out of spin. Their main objective is to either knock the opposing blade out of the stadium, burst the opposing blade (the parts pop apart) or stop it from spinning. It's strong against stamina but weak against defence.

Defence types are heavy and sit in the middle of the stadium. They're designed to withstand hits from attack types. They're strong against attack but weak against stamina.

Stamina blades are lighter than defence blades and are designed to outspin the opponent. They are strong against defence but weak against attack.

Balance blades are mixture of any of the above, but generally aren't as effective in one area as a pure defence/attack/stamina blade would be.

I don't browse WBO regularly so I'm sure someone else here will link you to the relevant threads.

The game's really fun if you have a friend who's engaged too. It's just a bit of a money sink.

Holy shit, I didn't know these things still existed. Is there a big competitive scene for these like a card game or something?
>>
>>5900319
Competitive scene? Yes.
Big? No.

>Is there a big competitive scene for these like a card game or something?
There is a competitive scene, but it is limited in scope, especially because right now you can only import them from Japan (Hasbro Beyblades should be getting a worldwide release very soon).
Beyblade doesn't have as much depth as a TCG or a fighting game, but people still really like to play.

These two videos are really old, but they give a good understanding about the game:

Dig around beywiki too (but most of the beyblades covered are from older series and soon everyone will just be playing Burst)

It looks like Hasbro Burst will come worldwide in 2017, so it's going to be a bit of a longer wait for non-Canadians

Yep. I just hope they fix some of the problems before then.

I picked up a sick lot of MFB beyblades at Goodwill. It's so hard to find good toys there, but it was a big bag of around 30 beyblades for four dollars.

There's some sick shit in there: White Grand Cetus, TT Diablo Nemesis (I guess the kid imported it), Rock Giraffe, another Twisted Tempo, another Hell Kerbecs, L-Drago assault ver, Storm Aquario (I wanted to mess around with HF/S), Tornado Hercules, a bunch of CS's, another black Bakushin, more RF tips, and some other goodies.

But the way this kid treated his beyblades is wack. He screwed in the faces way too right and a lot of the track threads and faces have strain marks. Some of the tips are destroyed, mostly D tips, but it seemed like he played with them on cement. A lot of them are sharpied, but I can clean that off. There was a M145, but it's broken and slides without clicking into place.
Strangely, though most of the wheels are in good condition and were still shiny. His Basalt/Tempo was new and fresh, while mine is worn and beaten down from moderate use.

But it's still a miraculous find.

If anyone's curious here's almost all of the Hasbro Burst products on the Canadian TRU site: http://www.toysrus.ca/family/index.jsp?categoryId=110981396&fv=2510384&f=Taxonomy&fd=&fg=&keywords=Beyblade&x=-795&y=-170&foreSeeBrowseSampling=15&foreSeeBrowseLoyalty=1&foreSeeEnabled=true
You can't get them outside of Canada, but at least you can get a good look at them.
Lots of color changes in addition to the lost compatibility.

Anyone selling Driger around the web yet?
>>
>>5911304
It's not even out, yet.
>>
>>5911884
Thought it was because of that picture

I'm paranoid about not being able to get these. Even if Hasbro do them the paint is obviously going to be much different

Sonokong is making Burst too, and they would always release the TT random booster prizes as starters, so they'll probably make a Driger starter.
>>
Oh shit, I remember getting Bump King twice since my first one had the top plastic blade snap from my little brothers Dranzer. Apparently I had the worst Beyblade, but that orange, man.
>>
>>5914574
Driger isn't a prize though right? It's the yellow blade in that packaging.
>>
>>5915436
Nope, just another chase bey. The yellow and blue bey is the prize, WBO members are speculating that the prize bey is called "Quad Quetzalcoatl".

Can someone help me identify this old thing? I lost mine years ago and want to replace it, but I can't even find a decent picture to search off of, much less its name. I think it's from 2003 or thereabouts.

So would Sonoking still rease Driger if it's not a prize?

Maybe, I'm not familiar with Sonokong's workings.

Anyone know any MDB wheels that resemble Master Dragoon's? I'm trying to recreate my old plastics combos in metal.

The closest metal wheel I can think of is Screw. You could try that. Also, you do know there's a Dragoon metal wheel, right?

>>5923884
I know. That was posted before the Hasbro releases.

Try TT's original Aries wheel. Or try Hasbro's Torch/TT's Cloud wheel

Cheers, I've decided to go with Screw for Dragoon

Any suggestions for a Dranzer F lookalike?

For Draciel I'm thinking the original Leone

If you're gonna use Screw, I suggest you use a Dragonis CW and face.

>I suggest you use a Dragonis CW and face
I'm using a screw and a dome nut to make the blade 100% metal. Pic related is a work in progress. It has a piece from every generation: Circle Heavy (HMS), Leone (MFB) and Armed (Burst).
>>
>>5931742
Looks real to me.
>I'm using a screw and a dome nut to make the blade 100% metal. Pic related is a work in progress. It has a piece from every generation: Circle Heavy (HMS), Leone (MFB) and Armed (Burst).
I thought you were making an MFB version of Master Dragoon.
>>
>>5933243
In the sense that I'm using MFB wheels as attack rings
>>
>>5933627
So you're recreating an entire beyblade out of metal beyblade parts?
>>
>>5933243
>Looks real to me.
Are they usually sold in packets like this?

>>5935857
Yeah, the annoying this is they're too heavy to launch properly. I'm only building them for display
>>
>>5938659
Not usually. Packaging like that(with the box) is typically reserved for WBBA limited edition items.
>>
>>5938659
I thought you were just going to recreate plastic beys in MFB, like pic related.
>>
Where can I buy the nice quality ones, the Tarakatomi ones ro whatever they are (Not Hasbro).

I wanna get into the meta.
