>that price on Jarkroid
Damn, why he so much?
>>5789116
Lots of parts, more paint than before, and inflation. Plus not making as many compare to Revos that are tied to an actual IP.
>>5789111
>YMNT Donatello
Oops
So the Hebikera should be out on 9/25 but preorders haven't really started officially, like their own site don't have it up yet.
>>5789116
yea, i was excited till i saw the price
at that price, i can all 3, toture mania, devils blood and acid worm
>>5789130
Since some Anon's here know about AB stuff, whats up with the bike one? Why does it have a few names? It doesn't seem to come with a figure beyond itself.
>>5789141
There were 3 distinct bikes, Barrel Speeder, Tristricker, and Jackall. Tristricker came with a figure, the others don't.
The other 2 bikes had some variants thus different names.
>>5789147
I keep misspelling striker.
>>5789150
It's decent size for 1/12 ish figures, probably better for the smaller ones like figma and SHFs.
I think 4 inch figures looks better on it as a monster bike type of vehicle.
As for posing figures to mount it properly, you can move parts around to make it work.
All will be revealed at WnFes!
Also read somewhere that Underwater Knee Socks is suppose to be the first of the new Fraulein series, but who knows already different from the base body.
>>5789130
Where are the pics of the assemble born stuff? I'm curious as to the designs.
>>5789175
>Fraulein
please tellme what Fraulein is
>>5789175
I want it
>>5789235
Fraulein was a subline of Revoltechs doing anime girls, at about 1/10 scale size. They are renewing it as Zwei with a new body structure. Probably see something about it this WF.
Post these again why not.
>>5789245
pretty figma-like, hope it ends in a similar size too
so hey, any good domestic [usa] stores to buy the qb revoltechs from? i need alice boost

>Yamaguchi Kill La Kill
Really thought this would've happened. I guess Kaiyodo wasn't tight with the Trigger folks.
Yamaguchi could've done it too seeing how Reycal turned out.
>>5789440

Fuck, I never realize how much I wanted this. His renditions of the more mecha-styled Goku uniforms would be amazing.
>>5789575
>Yamaguchi Shackle Regalia Mk.II
>>5789351
I got one off Amazon for $40.
>>5789440
Are you fucking serious? The QB stuff was garbage. The only reason they're well liked is because of filthy minded perverts jerking off to them.
>>5789574
>I guess Kaiyodo wasn't tight with the Trigger folks.
Especially considering the amount of Gurren Lagann figures they made.
>>5789727
Don't be a shitter. They are very well sculpted figures and have great articulation. Even THICC mode Cattleya can get into a ton of poses pretty easily because they're so well done.
>>5789727
They were just fine, only real issues they had were the degrading 6mm joints at the time.
Take a look at early anime girls SHF Revoltechs were sculpted way better.
>>5789734
And Evas, and Aim for the Top 1 and 2.
Then nothing. Could be because of the lack of robots.
>>5789440
can you stop crying about muh queen's blade? all you're doing is making the people who want them look bad
Speaking of crying over QB, maybe we could do a Revoltech poll of sorts of our own?
By that I mean we come to some kind of mutual agreement what should've won, to a degree. Pick something you think most people would've picked if they knew their shit.
2 separate categories, BEST REVOLTECH and LEGACY REQUEST.
Any figure using Revolver Joints that came out counts, so VulcanLogs yes Revol Mini no.
Just decide on No. 1 for each.
Say, Venom Snake is best and Melona should get Legacy release.
>>5790603
Best: Venom or Raiden easily
Should get Legacy: Fuck so many. I'mma go with Melona though because I voted for her and I just want her to not be $100 fucking dollary-doos.
Seto Kaiba & Blue Eyes Alternate White Dragon
July 28 release FYI.
>>5790603
Here's mine. Ultron is the most fun figure I own, definitely my top pick. And I'm not even a big QB fan, but I like Menace's design so much and don't want to pay 80-100 for it
Fav: Toyohisa. The smirking face plus adjustable eye and the articulation makes the figure.
Legacy: EX color Jinogre, just because I missed on the initial bandwagon and don't want to pay extra money
>>5792556
I kinda want an Ultron. I seem to vaguely remember people complaining about the hips, what's wrong with them and is it a dealbreaker?
>>5792624
They're specifically configured to only move up and outwards at an angle. No direct forward movement. The joints are also heavily embedded in the crotch piece, which is a pretty tough plastic, so there isn't a lot of play. Personally I think the rest of the articulation makes up for it and can easily compensate for their lack of mobility.
>>5792624
see that rectangular piece on top of the thighs? it's sculpted on, so it limits forward hips movement alot
>>5790603

>>5792592
>mfw got all the old MH figures for $55 each a month or so ago
Was so happy you have no idea.
>>5792671
This might be the 6th or 7th time Woody is getting reissued.
>>5792720
People love their Woody. Also the memeface is pretty damn hard to turn down.
>>5792726
That meme is so dead now though. I still have yet to buy one cause I don't know what the hell I'd do with it, but I'm kind of more interested in the alternate version now. Is that one worth the dough?
>>5789111
How many Jakdroids do I need for a starter fun, and how many are too much?
Can a single Jakdroid turn into anything cool/interesting or do I have to buy multiple
>>5792748
Kind of curious about this too. Anyone got a bunch of cool AB photos they could dump?
>>5792748

>>5792758

>>5792766

>>5792803
Don't know for sure, but at least 3x Strato Flyer, 2x Abyss Seeker, and 3x Wilderness Crawler.
>>5789245
Could this mean...remakes of the TV series Eva girls?
Because if so ALL OF MY WANT.
Got Melona yesterday, sorry for shitty photos. She is good, mom tells me to pack my thing and move, dad dont talk to me anymore 10\10.
Sad thing is her chest looks like painted by her dress badly. It much brighter than other body.
Sorry for bad ingrish.
>>5790603
Best - Stormtrooper. This guy has fantastic articulation and personality. Sure he's lanky and looks a bit odd, but he's extremely expressive and I love him.
>>5793214
Damn, hit post too fast. Just to finish off, I don't really have a legacy want list. I've been buying revos since Haruhi so I've pretty much not missed anything I really wanted.
Except that black exclusive Reina. But I figure I'll just get around to mandarake or something one day.
>>5793214
>tfw no First Order Storm Trooper
I'm a sucker for that helmet design and a revo of him would be great to mess around with.
>>5793337
I don't own Melona, but my other QB's don't have any weird discoloration like that.
>>5793337
Probably very unlucky. I haven't seen another Melona with that issue.
Got some real oldies in the mail today:
The very first Eva 01 and 02*. They're pretty much what I expected. Decent amount of accessories and the articulation is fine if you've handled an MP Eva before.
I also got Enki but after fiddling with them all for a while and breaking them in, I was too exhausted to do the same with him. That's one thing that really annoys me about figures in general and Revoltech in particular:
You can't just open up the box and go right at it. Depending on what kind of hand you put on, it's gonna be either too tight or too lose at first. Some of the other joints you have to heat up and theres just lots of tiny little things you gotta looo out for until the figures are 'ready'.
*I bought them used and Eva 02s color feels and looos off in places- definitely different than 01. The thigh is a bit faded and feels weird. Anyone can checl theirs quickly? It's as if the paint they used was of low quality which is not unikely.
>>5793376
I managed to pick up a free set of Revo joints and a joint remover when I bought a Revo at NYCC, I find the tool extremely helpful in manipulating older figures.
However, more recent figs rarely have such problems. The new Evas are way easier to set up.
>>5789111
Do you think we'll see venom/spidey next saturday?
Got Echidna today. She is cool, but joints are reallly floppy, i mean REEAALLY
I think i could buy some hobby joints or something and replace elbows and shoulder, but i dont know how to replace her abdomen dual joint. It seems it not removable.
>>5793451
Yeah, the hip and ponytail revo joints on mine are floppy as fuck. Too bad she never got a Legacy.
>>5793459
If it was put in there somehow, it could probably be taken out somehow.
>>5793451
Cute.
>>5793460
Those hip joint a real problem.
>>5793464
Looks like they molded around this joint. I have 8 or 10 mm dual revojoints, tommorow i try to heat her abdomen part and put it off, maybe i could put there 10 mm one.
>>5793440
At WonFes? For sure. Spidey at least. I hope they will show later stuff too.
I wish they will show off G3 Gamera with Iris by its side.
>>5793451
Can't you just split the joint and then add floor polish or jam a paper towel piece into it?
I have a couple of Revo with small joints half splitting already
>>5793655
Not sure, but see the timestamp at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2JdwhV80Ug&t=16m48s
You might be able to pry the joint and then floor polish it. Or if you're confident you could even use liquid super glue
Damn, anyone know a good place to preorder the new Jarkroids? The fucking exchange rate is shit and they are way more expensive now. I wanted three but I might settle for one or two for now and see how the aftermarket treats them.
>>5793738
I'm a HLJ guy so I just stick with them. You can cancel before it's out with no real issue, and combine shipments at will anytime up to 60 days after release.
Not sure how many Jarkroids are being produced so hard to tell how prices will change after.
How were the turtles? I never got into the show, but they look fun enough to pick up at least one.
Very nice.
>>5793422
>>5793425
>>5793433
Seeing this kinda shit just incredible, and it confuses me as to why more people aren't fans of Revos. It's so dynamic, realistic, and full of personality.
Mystery to me, I was into Yamaguchi figures pre-Revoltech.
>>5794121
This is my favorite shot. Shows off every good aspect of the articulation.
>>5794119
Past sculpts put people off and you still have the whole thing about the clicking being a negative for people and past owners having bad experiences with older revos. Another complaint I remember seeing is how Yamaguchi sculpts things into being only in dynamic poses and if they want to try more vanilla poses it doesn't seem right.
Personally the design philosophy of the revoltech joints took some getting used to but I grew to like the line. Maybe it's the rachet joints that are off putting for people used to smoother ones like Figma or Figuarts or the way things are sculpted for some.
I've seen some Revoltech arguments pop up on threads from time to time going beyond the "click click click" crap.
Say what you will about the way Yamaguchi poses his stuff but it's nice to see a figure before it's even painted being tested and shown what it can do.
>>5794147
These are the main complaints I've seen, and I still don't really understand them. Vanilla poses are quite possible if one takes 5 min to mess around with the joints and get used to the way they're set up. And plenty of companies use ratchet like joints, even shit like ML have indents in the shoulders, knees, and elbows. The only complaint I can understand is the joints being intrusive to the sculpt; they do stick out quite a bit and are distracting, but they kind of have to in order to pull off all the crazy shit.
I think all the hate stems from individuals that simply don't have the patience or knowledge to handle them.
>>5794147
It just seems like people are shitters who want their toys to stand dully around and don't care about articulation.
>>5794113
Kind of a manlet. SHF Cap is already enough of a manlet compared to ML stuff
>>5794243
Imports have no obligation to scale with oversized Legends crap anyway.
Am I gonna have to order a couple of these motherfuckers? I want those accessories.
>>5794171
>Vanilla poses are quite possible
I think it's all the idiots who looks only at promo shots and not buy the figures speaking out. They see the photos and some how thinks those are the only poses the figures can take. That was the case in cut joints days but free range of Revolver Joints are just like any other toys really.
>>5794268
If you like Baseball he's probably the definitive player action figure. Not that I can think of anyone else besides some chibi stuff or 1/6 figures.
>>5794171
There ARE some characters who just can't stand with their arms at their sides, legs together, like they're a normal person waiting in line for the bus.
But why the fuck would you ever want a figure to pose like that, is my question. It's a non-issue.
>>5790603
>BEST
Vash. He has trouble staying up without a stand, but otherwise he's perfect. I love the articulated coat-tails especially.
>REQUEST
I would say Dante, but I don't really want a re-release of that, I want a remake. So instead I'll ask for Mitsunari.
Does anyone have the Eva 003 that comes with a magazine? i cant find fucking reviews of it
>>5793476
So i heat >>5793459 this piece up and remove joint no problem. Put in some paper like >>5793669 said (thanks!), but anyway canibalize double joint from alienwarrior' head (he use repaired one now). Replace both hip-leg joints with Alleyne's cap ones (she didnt wear it anyway). Totally fine now.
>>5795154
This one?
http://d.hatena.ne.jp/UNOYO/20090616/p2
Just get the Evolution series one.
>>5794139
Wish they'd have put a flexible cap or something over that elbow joint, and on the shoulders. Something like with the grey fox mini's shoulderpads (grey fox doesnt have shoulderpads but it emulates deltoids well without obstructing articulation). I wonder if they'll use all the same design concepts with spidey/venom or if those'll differentiate significantly
>>5795458
Better example is the second batch Kinnikuman wrestlers body. The shoulder section was separate, on a swivel towards the front side, so it can swing up and down to move away or cover the shoulder joint. Would work well with Revoltechs too.
Elbow joints there's not much you can do. Do the knee pads thing but that can get annoying fast. I think the elbows are the most optimal way possible as it is.
>>5794113
That cap has always made me cringe at how static of a sculpt it is, especially the abs which ought to have some crumple. More deformation in general to indicate the material would have done wonders. The pants are supposed to be cargo/tactical and they look too tight here. The whole suit looks like a skintight armor shell
>>5793190
How much did you get her for?
>>5795439
How are the joints with paper towels jammed in it? Does it work?
>>5795594
Would like to know as well.
>>5795752
>>5795752
>tfw big head/bobblehead modes in videogames will never come back
>>5795594
>>5795697
No, they still floppy. Maybe i should have put more paper, i try it next time.
Does anyone have the legacy version of this figure? If yes, then how is it?
I saw it on amazon for quite a good price and I'm getting interested.
>>5795585
6 Kyen.
>>5796671
Tiny.
>>5796671
It's about 5 inches tall and since it's one of the older Revos it uses a lot of cut swivel joints especially in the hip/thighs. You can get it in some cool poses, but you have to fiddle with it for a while.
So how did Dark/Black Magician turn out? Kind of tempted to pick him up later but I was wondering how dynamic he is. Especially around the legs with the jointed cloth piece.
>>5793214
I too like that design looks like the kind of look you would see in a action manga, I think he looks a little heroric to be honest maybe its his lean and tall body and helmet
>>5793440
whats the chances it will be the marvel vs capcom venom? the render looked like it was the mvc venom
>>5794271
the stormtrooper helmet looks great on that white body! how the white body look with the stormtrooper's hands too?
>just won an auction for a Menace
>$49.99+8 bux expedited shipping
>>5797191
Yeah started out as a joint project book of underwater shots of this model, as in human not plastic. Then Kaiyodo made a realistic plastic model kit of her, and now this Revo based on a illustrator's version of that model person.
The illustrator does have that classic feel, like Shonen Ashibe art style.
>>5797201
It will be just a Yamaguchi style Venom. I mean there is no real design changes to Venom right? Yamaguchi doesn't "replicate"the source material to that degree.
>>5797419
Good job.
Now use a blacklight on her when you get her.
Just in case.
>>5797445
I wouldn't even bother, just clean the figure regardless.
>>5797078
He's great. Standard Yamaguchi figure, and the neck articulation is crazy. Armor piece is on double 6mm, then neck is another double 6mm joint.
Hip joints are fine, just 2 revolver joints with no crotch sculpt to hinder articulation. Cloth piece can go 45 degrees forward, and by twisting cloth piece 90 degrees both leg can go forward high up.
Another set or two of different hands would've been perfect.
>>5797457
Well if it's that old and in box chances are there is plasticiser leaking. So you need to clean it anyways.
>>5797474
How would I do that?
>>5797479
Dish soap would be fine.
>>5797481
That won't damage the paint or anything?
>>5797469
Sounds solid. I guess with DMG being shown off painted I have a combo to look forward to.
>>5797486
Nah. It's not that easy to ruin paint unless there is alcohol or nasty stuff in the mix. Can't hurt you can't hurt the figure basically.
Talk about Wonder Festival hopes and dreams? Realistic and unrealistic new announcement hopes.
Realistic: Ame-Comi Wolverine and Iron Man
Unrealistic: VL Quiet and D-Dog、KT Project Laputa Robot and Nausicaa.
>>5797567
Neither are realistic, anecomi Captain America and anything, ANYTHING Star Wars
>>5797581
Considering the export ban on amecomi line, I doubt cap will ever be made. The japs love Ironman because he's basically a mech suit, they love spiderman like anyone else in the world, but I highly doubt they like Cap, who are practically Mr. Murica exceptionalism and might as well be Nuke-man.
>>5797609
>failing this hard at understanding Cap
Cap is pure, anon, he is supposed to be what America aspires to be not what it actually is.
>>5797609
That's why I said that neither are realistic
>>5797673
Yeah I know that. Just saying that he's not as popular outside of the US, except maybe Canada where he's a parody (albeit a good kind of parody) of what 'Murican is.

>>5797700
Well I did, we'll see what happens.
>>5797714
amazon jap sellers are usually reputable and will offer refunds if the items never arrive which seems to happen from time to time
>>5797682

Cap=pure
Nuke-man=not pure
But, cool.
>>5797727
I only ordered cause of the Amazon fulfillment, I won't be surprised if I don't get it.
>>5797696
Spider-Man is being made already.
I doubt Fraulein will be doing stuff like QB, old QB Revo were not Fraulein. And Fraulein is like 95% Enoki Tomohide sculpts who likes to do cute anime girls and Iron Man.
>>5797773
Actually looks like it was 100% Tomohide, One Revo I thought wasn't him turned out to be his.
He did Saber and Yotsuba as well, so gives you an idea what Fraulein would be like.
Might bring in other people for this 2.0 but it was a dedicated subline.
Got confirmation email for R2, anyone have it and the Bandai model 3PO to compare?
>>5797811
I'd take QB's over figma's any day.
>>5797820
Yeah I love QB too. But the Fraulein line with cut joints, weird elbow joints, and lack of actual Revo joint sucks. The purpose of Fraulein line was to make a more sculpt friendly figure for anime waifus, and you know when something is sculpt friendly usually articulation is sacrificed
Anyone have Uighur (pic related)? How's his articulation?
>>5798014
Like the other first round of FotNS revoltechs, the hip cut joints are limiting. Moves in a diagonal arc between the closed legs and the splits position. But with Uighur the robe hinders to just about that position of the pic. The rest is fine.
>>5797567
I need revo-wolvie in my life.
>>5798449
Does Japan even like Bub? He's a massive weeaboo far as the comics are concerned, so does that sort of thing turn them off on the character or no?
>>5798454
>does that sort of thing turn them off
Not really, I think they (I should say we but I feel like an outsider most of the time) like that sort of stuff, and find the sumo samurai ninja fujiyama shit funny not offensive.
Enough to do an anime at least.
>>5798454
They think it's cute
Anyone have QB Sigui (the nun)?
I'm eyeing for the 2P version, garterbelt gets my dick hard. Does she have floppy joints?
>>5798525
No the joints were better by then.
Waist looks weird with clothe off but other than that she's good.
>>5798525
I've got her. She's great in terms of looks, but her clothes are pretty thick rubber/rubbery plastic so her torso joints are kind of hard to use as the sheer strength of her dress will push the joints back.
She has the newer good joints too, so it's really just the dress being made too thick. It should've been a bit thinner like Nanael's or maybe even Cattleya's.
Why does this pic of 3PO look so different from everything else I'm seeing? Good posing, or joint replacement? If the latter, what joints would I need and where do I get them?
>>5798931
I don't see what you mean.
Maybe the head is closer to the body? That's more of an modifying the receiving end thing.
>>5799058
Proportions look pretty different, I don't know.
>>5798454
I can't imagine Japan knows enough about Wolverine to know he's a weeaboo. If anything, they would think it's cool that he hangs around in Japan, because they get nervous when series take place anywhere outside their country, even when it involves an international cast.
>>5799068
Neck and the cable waist piece looks shorter, maybe they chopped them down.
>>5798585
Could you post some more photos?
>>5800022
Sure, but of what?
>>5800242
>>5800022

>>5800360
There we go, her holy pose. Unfortunately, toys can't twerk, but hey, good enough right?
>>5799256
Just wondering if that would be enough to line him up scale-wise with stuff like Black Series and Figuarts, cause if not, I'll endure the process of building the model kit.
>>5797567

Honestly, the Revoltech line in general strikes me as more likely to get things from one-off shows and games, so barring legal bullshit I wouldn't count anything out.
>>5801321
Revo sadly doesn't do like a well liked legacy character, they'd rather do a flavor of the month anime. Things like Sakamoto are just meh, it's not like the anime was that good, it's just mediocre.
When not picking FOTM stuff, Revo tend to go too far and pick out of the blue random ass character like Arthur and Beats from JSR. I love Arthur from MVC and I love Beats as Dreamcast kid growing up, but those two options are just so out of the blue it cannot possibly sell well.
They need to learn a thing or two from Figma character selection. GSC doesn't give a fuck and will release a character from dead ass IP as long as they're iconic enough. For example Prime Samus, MGS2 Snake/Gurlokovitch Soldier, Twilight Princess Zelda, Leonidas, UBW Gilgamesh and so on. GSC doesn't give a fuck about tie ins, Metroid Prime, MGS2, 300 are all dead as fuck as IP. However they know these characters have massive fanbase that outlive their original media and they were right
>>5801332
>GSC doesn't give a fuck and will release a character from dead ass IP as long as they're iconic enough
but arthur is pretty iconic and also from an dead ip, same for beat.
>GSC doesn't give a fuck about tie ins
the ones you listed are some of the few exceptions though, everything else is pretty much fucking tie-in with flavor of the month and special events/anniversaries, for example, the haruhi figmas, the lucky star ones, the entire black rock shooter line; figma roger smith and dorothy which were made to go with the, anounced at the time, max gokin big o, which was also made to go with the announced blue ray release; the oreimo figmas, the two drossell figures. the railgun and index lines, ikamusume, pit and dark pitt, the idolm@ster figmas, and the most recent ones: the love live line and kancolle to say the least.
as far as i know the touhou figmas were also made during its peak of fame too.
and they will still do it, gravity graze is going to have more figmas because of the upcoming second game, and there's going to be an anime for that as well, even the phoenix wright figma is made thanks to the fucking anime, or else they would have already released him years ago.
it's true that max factory and gsc can do iconic characters from old franchises (the guyver figmas, rayearth line), but saying that kaiyodo doesn't is exagerated, hell look at the old robots the revoltech line has, they are pretty iconic, like tetsujin 28, getter 1 ova version (said ova was released in the 90s), mazinkaiser, or dangaioh. there's the transformers revoltechs too, and the takeya line also had three gege no kitaro figures, which is also a really iconic franchise in japan.
yeah i would love seeing kaiyodo making stuff i like, but i'm not going to cry because they went to do flavor of the month shit and then start praising another company whose line was also formed by doing flavor of the month shit. and to be honest, no company is safe from that.
>>5801332
What you are pointing out is all VulcanLog Union Creative stuff. Kaiyodo and their Revos seems like random selection across different generations with no fucks to what's popular at the moment, but they still try to make it interesting. Only things they were keeping up to date were Evas and Iron Man revos.
Kaiyodo doesn't want to compete head on with other companies so they will go where no others have gone before. Even with Marvel stuff they are avoiding what Bandai and figma companies will likely do, besides Iron Man because Revo had that going early on.
New Fraulein said will be different format than before so will likely not be a figma/SHF clone in terms of selection either.
Anyways, they are doing what you say GSC is doing. In fact I think they learned that from Kaiyodo because figma was heavily FOTM line.
>>5801332
>They need to learn a thing or two from Figma character selection.
So this got on my nerves a little, >>5801393 anon, you agree with me? That GSC MF etc learned the Kaiyodo's model and started doing old IPs, mecha, and stuff like art statues because of what Revoltechs shown could sell.
Because the whole figma line was mostly FOTM initially
>>5801321
Senran fucking Kagura line ala Queen's Blade WHEN?
The series is basically QB: Japanland Edition anyway, so they might as well start racking up those racks and lining the seats with big fat asses, because this series could be amazing if they do full cast off.
>>5801450
Nah Senran Kagura's way too samey.
In QB you have big tiddy milf, evil elf, good elf, angel, blonde tsundere, demon maid, nun, egyptian girl, saber knockoff with purple hair, etc. Basically it cover a very wide range of fetishes and would look good as an insert to your collection.
So for example I have Nanael with Pit displayed and Anelotte with Saber
>>5801459
Theres a lot covered in the Senran stuff if only because there is so many of them. It has a pretty good fetish coverage at this point.
>>5801470
That'd work too, I guess. I'd just like the Senran's better because I've played a few of the games and I'd like to see how much they could improve the castoff mechanic from the QB line since most of the Senran's start pretty clothed.
>>5801473
Clothing is hard to do. The thinner, softer you make the PVC it will get weaker, plus more plasticiser so means sticky surface over time.
Replaceable torso and such would be better but that would jack up the prices.
>>5801473
Plus I'm still Ikki Tousen >>> Senran Kagura, but I haven't played the games.
>>5801321
>Realistic
>Another Drifters
Not when SAS is fully on board doing Drifters.
Yamaguchi Guts would be the best thing ever since that means we have the one figure in existence that can actually pose giant sword with two hands. But again doubt it when figma keeps making Berserk characters.
>>5801534
>fully on board doing Drifters
With the way things look Medicos is just attacking properties for figures but none aiming to be the next mainline successor to JJBA. I can still see a revoltech Drifters figure since it's not like Medicos has that much power. Plus the revoltech can still make a show of force with better articulation since SAS's are mostly average for the most part.
>>5801550
Sorry by fully I mean more than just Toyohisa. I don't expect them to do more than the ones they announced.
I don't really see interesting, Revoltech oriented character left, maybe Yoichi. And really no reason to compete with that property.
Another property that will never get awesome Revoltechs, Dragon's Crown.
>>5801695
>Elf and Amazon Revoltech
Now I realize I need a dynamic bow user in my collection and funnily enough the Amazon would be a fun project for Yamaguchi to sculpt around. If this somehow gets noticed for a release I know full well I can see a Revo Amazon spinning around with her axe like in-game.
>>5801699
I want all 6 made. I think they all have potential for great action figures. And Ineed more fantasy action figures that's not super anime style, but more western inspired.
>>5801702
Vanillaware is probably one of my most preferred companies to get figures. Dragons Crown and Odin's Sphere for Fantasy. Grand Knights History for more armored figs.
>>5801595
I could safely say that Nobunaga, Hijikata, and Joan could all make for pretty good revoltechs.
>>5801534
>But again doubt it when figma keeps making Berserk characters
I think the actual Guts figmas released like three years ago, and the God Hand figures are still in prototype status. Unless GSC decides to finally reissue them, now's the perfect time for Kaiyodo to release a Guts of their own. And even if the figmas did get a new release, I think the revoltechs could hold their own just by virtue of being able to pull off more of Guts' iconic poses.
>>5801781
Just saying Kaiyodo is not an aggressive company if you look at what they made and when they stopped. They rather do something different than something that was done or being made by others. Especially now that they are downsizing their action figure lines.
>>5801781
And I do agree they should do like the current version of Guts and it would be the best figure ever, just saying it's unlikely. Especially when CEO of Kaiyodo is good friends with Max Watanabe.
>>5792624
>>5792637
The hips are definitely hard to deal with depending on what you want to get out of them, but even so it's a gorgeous figure. Highly recommended.
Pic related shows how you can manipulate the hip joints to get more forward up and straight out motiin though it's not really worth the effort.
>>5801969
I just rotate the whole thigh piece 180. Because of the design it doesn't look that weird at a glance.
>>5801978
Huh, I just tried that. It's not bad, but the kneepad being on the back totally kills his knee articulation. I think a better way of doing it is to just swap the left and right thighs out. It's more limited for dynamic stuff, but it's also hard to notice, and lets him do walking/sitting poses.
>>5802004
>Whateverrr...
Something arrived today!
>>5802118
And well packed, too, no avocado in a box this time.
>>5802120
And here she is, the result of a very lucky auction.
>>5802122
Her joints are about what you'd expect from an older QB revo (ie: passable to shit). Any Legacy figures I could easily pillage to replace her joints with by any chance? I'm thinking of just swiping some of my Legacy Alleyne's and Nanel's joints and some random other base joints, and seeing what fits. They can live with slightly crappier arm joints, but Menace deserves to not be floppy.
Had to warm a part or two of her to get the joints out too.
10 dollar R2 seems legit, holy shit
>>5802239
Goddamnit, I missed that by minutes.
>>5802245
Yeah he didn't last long.
I feel kinda bad for people who paid 45 for this thing.
It's okay buddy, 3PO will be here soon
>>5802313
I like the way you think.
>>5802132
Why not try those off-brand hobby joints so you don't have to sacrifice another fig?
>>5802004
Yeah that was brought up before, this is just a lazier solution. Through the motion posing rather than step back and take your time for a pose and glamour shot.
>>5802132
If you can take apart the joints, you can thicken up the middle piece with like super glue to make the joints not as floppy. If you don't want to track down other figures or joint packs.
>>5802565
oh just another borg release....yay I guess.
>>5802565
Nothing new for like a year and a half and now we are getting 2 new ABs. Hopes it leads to some reproductions.
I wonder what happened to the "riders" for Takeya horse. I guess we will see something for future KT Project lineup soon.
>>5803234
We just got that worm thing. Honestly I think the horses didnt sell so well.
>>5803246
We usually know more than one upcoming, so I assumed they are keeping it all secret for WF.
That's possible. I didn't think Kaiyodo canned figures but learning about Scope Dog and knowing some Senmu's Room figures that never saw the light of day, like western dragon and gorilla, it's possible they picked something else to do.
>>5803282
wait, they had a European dragon?
>>5797581
>anything, ANYTHING Star Wars
Is it confirmed that there's more Star Wars coming? I'd love a Revo First Order Stormtrooper.
>>5803539
No he's just hoping. If there is anyone to avoid competing it's fucking Bandai. They are doing all the Star Wars, and they can make "better" figures at 2/3 the price. Plus there are MAFEX figures too so pretty saturated market.
Kaiyodo even, at this point for sure, cancelled their Millennium Falcon that was practically done.
>>5803474
There were suppose to be one from an old movie property. Gorilla and wolf were also mentioned in an article, but that line was all just whatever the CEO wanted to be made so it was too niche to happen I guess. Should've started with the dragon.
>>5789111
Legacy when?
>>5803573
Dragonheart? also
>gorilla
>wolf
why did they not make these?
>>5803644
Haha no much older the guy is almost 60. I forgot the title I think it looks similar to this one.
>>5803638
I'm making my own Legacy of Menace at this point. I noticed the neck joints for my Legacy/good joint QB Revo's match the joint size of all of Menace's joints (more or less), so given the head joints of the QB girls don't need to be hot shit to do their job, I'm pilfering their neck joints to replace Menace's shitty joints, on a 1 for 1 basis.
Feels good, man. I'll have to see if I can pilfer anything from my good joint gals to spruce up my Echidna.
Also did Ymir ever get a Legacy?
>>5803871
No, but Ymir already had the better joints.
>>5803915
Oh, really? Maybe I'll pick her up then. Did non-Legacy loli Alice have them too? Mostly wondering because then I won't have to specifically look for a Legacy version for her.
>>5803961
Yeah I'm pretty sure she did as well. Newer joints started to be used gradually when the first Sci-Fi Revoltech Alien came out so stuff a bit later will have the better joints.
>>5803638
man seriously fuck that legacy reissue poll. dafuq is half this shit... it's not gonna sell. melona woulda sold very well, goddammit
>>5804088
You know, since you can vote up to like 15 times for one figure, even No. 1 could've been voted by like only 30 people.
The whole thing was a fail, not enough people involved.
What do you see?
>>5789111
post more AB love
>>5805235
>>5805238
>>5805241
>>5805245
anybody?
>figma
Kojima you traitor.
>>5805271
>figmas are better
>>5805297
Should I compare figma Snake with VulcanLog Venom Snake?
I like figma too, just know it will be 1000 yen or so more expensive that way with very little difference in quality, and can barely strike a pose because they put little effort into improving articulation.
>>5805271
That's a really neat custom
>>5805340
I'm just taking a jab with another anon in the figma general who said the same thing. Personally I don't mind from either company and I find it funny that we get a figure of the render of the logo for Kojima's new company. Now I wonder if it comes with an alternate head showing the face inside.
>>5805382
That's probably me haha.
So this guy is not in the next game?
Also will this be something one day? More Revoltech worthy I say.
>>5805382
Oh never mind I see the newer development you posted figma Snake face pic.
>>5805394
I won't be surprised but maybe Kojima got such a kick out of the head that eventually someone decided to make a full blown suit of it to represent the company. Personally I thought it was a ZOE sort of deal when the logo was shown but I'm cool with a spaceman as well.
>>5805415
observe
>>5805435
>>5805437
>>5805441
I'll post something too. From AB twitter since I don't really mess around with my ABs that much. I did made Gunhed once, prob try again now that I got more parts.
I want to make this though, I think I have the right parts.
Just using the first bike.
>>5805465
Damn, what makes this?
>>5805354
Not a custom, it is real, check the figma thread
>>5805474
At a glance, parts from 2 Abyss Seekers, Mr Assemble's special leg parts, Last Run body and head, 2nd generation AB's shoulders (Ghost Gunner in this case)
And I'm not sure about the body so might be from Tristriker because I don't have it. I can use something else though.
>>5805486
Yeah you can rearrange to get female version.
So, asking anyone here who might know. Anyone have an idea of how to remove this weird-ass joint thats in Echidna's midsection, and what might be a good replacement for it? It's ultra floppy.
Or is there no way to get it out without essentially destroying the midsection, which would entirely fuck up everything>
>>5805559
Heat up the plastic, makes it softer, and just pull out the joint.
You could try and fix the joint by sandwiching paper or thickening with super glue, or get a 6mm double joints from something else.
All Assemble Borgs comes with black spare joints so you can use that there if you want an AB
>>5805446
I have this one and the armoroid, but I'm just not creative enough to do cool stuff with em. They're very good figures, I guess they're just not for me.
???????
>>5806819
Day 1 purchase
>>5806173
It's best to look at stuff other people do to get your creative juices flowing first. Otherwise it's a really time consuming, tedious and finger hurting process to make something cool without any inspiration to draw from. That's the secret of being "creative", it's a lot of small iterations over time using prior inspirations and combining them to make new things.
>>5794119
I enjoy looking at other people's pictures than actually handling a revoltech
>>5806904
I enjoy looking at others pics too. I like to see what others come up with.
Holy shit! Next Mega Soft-Vinyl is going to be Tetra from Juvenile! I LOVE that movie!
Might have to get this.
>>5806996
Come on Kaiyodo, go crazy, do Gungelion Revoltech.
>>5807199
So it was a female character after all.
Curious to see the head designs.
Anyone got this or the iron version yet?
I don't think it's too small.
>>5808768
Not unless you're in Japan, red just came out.
No I skipped the Iron Rust ver this time, didn't like the gold katana blade look.
>>5808785
Ah, I hadn't checked on it in a while and saw that it was available on HLJ.
I've got the previous skeleton, looking forward to swapping parts between them.
>>5808768
Yeah im in the middle of reviewing it. I wanted a skin version as well but the last 2 got sniped off Mandarake at the speed of light. Even with figinstock notifications I couldnt get em.
>>5808797
Glad they didn't reuse the skull from the first one.
Tempted to get the iron one because it's real pretty, but like I said I want to swap parts with the first figure.
>>5808895
never been a fan of the iron paint in the KT project but this one grew on me. Still want 2 skin toned to go with the rest of my skeleton collection though.
>>5809040
Oh I was confused to what you meant by "skin."
Should it not be bone tone? For a second I thought you wanted a samurai with flesh on it.
Iron paint versions will always be a thing, since the real Jizai Okimono were made of metal and that was the look they had. I feel like they drag sales down like the wood color Buddhas did though. Useful just for part swapping really.
>>5809436
Just got it Forgot about the text in first one.
Could be rearranged configurations like before making 2 characters. They did alt color for Nexus but it wasn't really considered a different character.
>3 out of 4 Bonda Natsunosuke out of stock on HLJ
Huh. They must've not got that many to begin with?
>>5809063
Thats how the classify the coloured versions of the KT project line...well Mandy did with their typos.
>>5809579
I see. All KT Project just calls them Chakusai, which just means colored, and Tetsusabi Jichou which is a fancy way of saying rusted iron finish.
>>5809749
>Assemble Borg
>Cute
Why does this make me 100x more excited for this.
>>5809749
medabots?
cause I'd be all in for revo medabots with all the part swapping and shit.
>>5809749
Nice. So they went with that kind of head designs.
I'm getting so many of these.
>>5809749
Weird, but interesting. AB seems to be a really cool line. I'll have to grab some of the preorders.
>>5811074
Never played MH, don't ever care to, but I want the stronk woman with kool sword.
>>5811074

>>5811508

>>5811508
Jeesus that double ball joint. They really need to engineer something better than that
>>5811508
Yep, I'm diggin it.
>>5811534
They did. They used it in Minis and the wrong places on some new Revos.
>>5811508
It's pretty much a given that these are gonna have ultron/venom snake style outward angled hips. I'm trying to deal, but goddammit I shouldn't have to.
>>5811508
He looks appropriate to how strong he actually is.
>>5811642
I don't understand what's wrong with a regular joint and a floating crotch piece.
Raiden, Toyohisa and most late Yamaguchis work well. What's up with that?
Also the point of Vulcanlog is to use combination joints. Stich barely has a Revo joint in him. Why can't they just make a ball joint for the hips like you know, $7.99 walmart 3.75" toys had
>>5811677
They do use ball joints now...
Problem with revolver joints is how to contain that long 3mm peg, and so its hard when there is no extra pieces on the but to contain the peg.
Problem with the ball joint hips is they make it so thick, probably so it wont break off.
>>5811695
You do see the 12 for Spidey right?
It says after though so might be pushed back.
>>5811729
Oh shit I missed that completely. I was just looking at the sculpt
Should I make next thread now or keep going a little longer so can have a more accurate schedule list?
>>5811706
>They do use ball joints now...
YES I know.
Sorry for not making it clear, but if you see Venom's crotch there's a ball joint buried in there. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Venom as a figure, but what's up with him not able to bring his legs together and stand like a normal person? Such a missed opportunity because you already have the goddamn ball joint in there in the first place. They're sacrificing range for sculpt on the hips, and they're sacrificing sculpt on the shoulders for range.
>>5811520
>purple/black and pink/white twins
ha, called!
>>5811856
I do wish it was the other way around
>>5811856
Venom was so restricted because there was a lot of shit hindering him like the belt and straps. The range is actually incredible upwards and outwards.
>>5811878
Belt and straps don't hinder, it was the thick peg of the ball joint hitting the edges of the socket.
Venom card is up but just that.
>>5811899
Odd artwork. What is it from?
>>5811889
This
Also the V crotch piece in the middle is solid, rather than floating crotchpiece like figma or hell even NECA stuff.
>>5811899
I wonder if this means Hawkeye is being made, or just a coincidence.
>>5811947
I was thinking this too since they have that Hawkeye Vs Deadpool under them.
>>5811074

Anything of Vulcanlog Yuuichirou and Mikaela from Owari no Seraph?
>>5811998
I could really use a Yamaguchi sculpted archer character.
Plus fits Kaiyodo's bill of doing characters others might not do.
Fuck, not a Revoltech.
Soft Vinyl. Looks like cut joints gives it some poseability.
