The popping off issue might just be because one end of the double ball joint being too tight. My 1964 SHMA had that issue with the torso joint, and I fixed the problem by just sanding down one end a lot

I sorta wanna see NECA tackle Shin Godzilla. I feel like that design would be a good fit for them. They usually do gross monsters justice. I feel like other Godzillas are out of their comfort zone which is why theyve been hit and miss.

Monster arts will runs you close to $80 US or more. Neca will cost you $20 if you can find it at Toys R Us still, or just order it online on amazon or Ebay for $20-$30.

I honestly hate the MA's texture. Looks like a fucking sponge. I much prefer NECAs look, even if it isnt 100% accurate.

Theres also the build quality. MA stuff has been pretty fragile lately, with some QC issues, or just poorly made balljoints that come apart super easily. NECAs is like a solid hunk of heavy plastic with beefy balljoints that you could probably kill somebody with and hurl through a wall and still be mostly in tact.

I'm actually really impressed with the figure, after the G'14 and MUTO releases I wasn't expecting much in detail, but they knocked it out of the park on a few spots.

The tail has so much definition, especially in the tip with every little mutated detail kept in check, the feet have so many wrinkles + clean paint apps for the nails reminiscent of older figures, and the legs have all kinds of ridges and veiny bulges that seem to pop out more than what i've seen in the trailers itself.

I guess all of this goes without saying considering it's more of an ambitious premium vinyl by Bandai, but I really like it, and It's a little too early to tell for sure but I could see fans preferring this figure to the SHMA Shin Godzilla due to it's simple potency (and the general confusion and negativity surrounding the SHMA's design quirks)

The Monster Series G'14 is a pretty underrated figure, I feel like coming out so late made it go under everybody's radar, but the "bulk" of that figure is done much more accurately/better than every other toy of the character.
