Nail polish can be used to tighten ball joints, but you need to actually remove whatever the ball joint is connected to and paint the ball. Which can be a really bad idea depending on what it is. You might also need to do multiple layers, or sand it a bit depending on how thick it is.

2. Wave 2 has new "Stunticon" OffRoad. Menasor is now 3 cars, a big truck, and a small truck.

3. Wave 1 and 2 are mixed. "Superion" is advertised with Drag Strip. "Menasor" is advertised with AirRaid. Double bonus, Hasbro Europe skips wave 2, fucking up both Superion and Menasor for Europeans.

4. Wave 3 has new "Protectobot" Rook and tiny Groove because scale autism.

5. Hasbro releases missing Slingshot and Wildrider, online only and in small quantities.

6. Wave 4 is supposed to homage Masquerade. It includes only 2 of the 5 Autobots in that episode. Even though Sideswipe would've been easy.

7. Wave 5 recolors (not retools) Slingshot as Blastoff because scale autism again. Double bonus, being the right character instead of a nobody makes potential replacement more awkward.

8. Hasbro packs Scattershot with Onslaught, saying no Technobots are forthcoming.

9. Hasbro lies about running change with Onslaught and Brawl (to use shit brown) that never actually happens.

10. Hasbro then packs Sky Lynx with Onslaught, pissing off anybody who bought a bundle with Scattershot, either because they thought it was the only option or a shit-colored running change was coming.

11. Hasbro announces real Groove for May Madness. All of May goes by, then delayed to October. Double bonus, now 2 Protectobots named Groove.

12. Wave 6 is just random Autobots. Unpainted Wheeljack, police Smokescreen, Trailbreaker again, and Hound. None of them are from Masquerade so they can't even fix wave 4.

13. G2 Bruticus doesn't fix jet BlastOff, even though G2 Superion and G2 Menasor did. Double bonus, he has the wrong faction symbols.

The front leg ratchets are a real problem for torso mode, basically he's a floppy fuck, following a youtube tutorial I just added some spare plastic so the ratchet clicks, which will serve him better in the long run as the teeth are basically eating each other before moving the teeth closer together (watching how they worked inside before the fix, its smashing the clicker rather than rolling with it).

Takara usually fucks up less, but when they do its pretty terrible, we've seen that off colored zombie breakdown (as in missing paint), UW bruticus is a major one since multiple members are faulty, don't forget mp's, I own this fucker

Well this is true enough, I can't argue with that.

Only variable is their prices put them above alot of what kids end up liking, back when I was in the minimum age range (8) I was lucky to get one transformer per special occasion (got plenty of the pullback ones as a result), yet I see more mess around with mobile games these days, many younger than 8 now as I see.

Which is why I tend to feel these toys are double ended, kids (with parents who grew up knowing who "hound" is) and seasoned collectors who have the income to just buy out a whole wave, no way a single limb would last from birthday to christmas, and the deluxes are too much just to shut up a whiny brat with the whole buy them all gimmick.

But that's just how I feel, I could be wrong in my assumptions despite watching shelf movements alot (I work in retail+waiting for the damn TR deluxes to finally release here)

It helps that I've been collecting for so long, that the better voyagers we got in 2006-2010 are more like a flash in the pan to me than the norm. Sure, I would've liked the Devastator components to be better, but compared to stuff we used to get I don't think its that bad.

When I was a kid, I remember G1 Deluxes (whatever they were called back then) costing around $6. That was a significant amount for my family, considering how much it could buy in (for example) bread, milk, eggs, etc.

Now deluxes are so much more, both in terms of numerical price, but also when you compare it to how much household staples you could buy with the same amount.

That said, $15 doesn't seem as much when you compare it to costs like fuel or cell phone service or the amount one big food shopping trip. Fifteen bucks spent in the toy department may not seem like too much added cost when you throw it on top of the other hundred fifty you're spending in the grocery section of Walmart.

tl;dr Deluxes seem like they cost more when you buy them on their own, but may not seem like as much when you're spending so much more on other stuff.

It's still better than most of the CW Constructicons. Admittedly its combined mode is the one thing it falls short in, and terribly at that. But I'd still take it over CW Devy.

Pretty much this, Alternators came out when I was in middle school or so and I was able to follow along fine. BW was the first line to really have complex transformations, and it helps that I grew up with that line and RiD. Its just a matter of being patient and following instructions.

It doesn't help that some people have bravado about not following instructions and try to go on there own, and en up fucking up and complaining about things being too hard.
