So is this guy worth the price nowadays?

I've heard that the figure is dated, even for a SS, but I've also heard that it is still good.

Would I be better off with Kuuga or Agito? Maybe even Hibiki?

I like all of their designs, so I can't really place it through that medium. I like Kabuto's design slightly more, but I'm also worried they will come up with a Kabuto with a new chest, what with Gatack coming out.

Definitely worth getting, the chest is great, only real complaint people have is the peg hands.

Hibiki is severely underrated for how good of a figure he is, and Agito had a huge supply so he's pretty cheap.

While we won't see a Kabuto rerelease, they'll probably release his final form down the road (along with Decade and W's) seeing how well Kuuga's did.

He's decent. Great sculpt, although the shoulders are a bit too gabby for My taste. I'm paranoid as fuck about his antennae, though. I haven't decided if I'll pick up the first version yet or not, just to have a more playable Black.

I do wish he came with some effect parts, though. I'd settle for a red Rider Kick effect, but a Kingstone Flash and Rider Punch would be nice.

Tell Me about it. I've had the Battle Hopper on figure in stock alerts for the last six months or so. Even at 8k or 9k yen, it sells out of Mandarake within minutes. I'm almost tempted to say fuck it and go with the Souchaku Henshin version, which is usually only 4k yen. I think the SH is essentially the same mold as the Figuarts Battle Hopper.

I was worried by how bad the sofubi looked but it seems like Toei finally realized Gaim was successful for a reason.

The articulation is not great, but it's passable. It's a display piece first and foremost. If you like the look and you don't think it's too expensive, get it. If you want something to fuck around with, get the Figuarts.
