LEGO FAQ: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YVt-4sibEMFOU8H484MpB-K6rNla5SIYdHZG8lyCHLQ/edit?usp=sharing

June isn't over yet! Remember to take a whirl at one of these June challenges anons:
>Build a minifigure of a Star Wars character that doesn't already have one.
>Build a robot command centre. You figure out what it's supposed to be a robot or command them!
>Build something that's mostly Lego but uses some third party/off brand pieces.
>Build a brick-built wheelchair that looks better than the one in 60134.
>Build something based off of another anon's MOC.
>Fenimiminismninimism- Give your female figs something BADASS to ride around in! Bonus points for minidolls.
>Make a Fighting arena for your two most badass minifigs!
>Go to the Lego aisle at Walmart and startle someone
>Home Sweet Home - In honor of Captain Rex's AT-TE, rebuild a vehicle into a mobile home for your favorite figs.
>June Bride. Set up an impromptu wedding between your sig fig and another fig, or your waifig/husbafig and another. Bonus points for celebrity guests, full musical acts and ultimate points for treating her/him like a princess/prince with a "fairytale wedding" (fancier the better).

I made a Heroica/RPG boss for my game. It's a crystal that possesses armor to protect itself from being taken. Have to target the eye/head when it exposes itself, otherwise aim for the sword or shield.

Randomest of things, found a couple of Brickwarrior packs at TRU a few months ago. I picked up two or three of them, but never saw them again.

Has anyone ever seen them at TRU before?
>>
>>5772038
I have so many of them. The halo 4 pack, the mass effect bag(the one i got had 3 torso armor pieces, a gears of war pack, a few zombie apoc packs(one of which had a SWAT Sheild in Black) and some kneepad armor from my little brother. Brickwarriors is the only heresy I approve of personally because of the gun molds.

most of my brickwarriors stuff. They plastic quality is great, and depending on the contents, the bag quality fuckups arent bad
>>
Reposting.

I got a question regarding LEGO tank treads. Which would be the most ideal for a Power Functions RC threaded vehicle capable of off-roading conditions? I've seen Sariel make one out of those wide snap-together plastic treads, but I call heresy. Any tips?
>>
>>5772102
If you want large, the snap together plastic is best IF you use a few small rubber ones in the middle to give it a decent amount of traction

Man, I really don't like 75082. Why? I don't know for sure... Is it the floppy wings? Is it the weird thing that's on the back for the projectiles? Who knows, it's ugly and I just don't like it.

Turns out I also don't have enough parts to do what I planned with it either.
>>
>>5772139
It IS ugly. What were you planning on doing with it?

the printed windshield and hatch look like the front and back of a large mech head. Just saying.
>>
>>5772156
I was planning on combining the parts from that set and 6206: TIE Interceptor to match the style of the new Vader's TIE to the right. I don't have nearly enough black angled plates. I could only finish two of the wing sections.
>>
>>5772139
I'd fix up some Ugly wings for it. Don't have to be perfect, because it's an Ugly.
>>
>>5772173
It would be all light gray on the inside, which will bother the crap out of me until it's fixed.
>>
>>5772180
I can understand that. I rebuilt a friend's old TIE, and it was missing one of the slope plates. It bothers the hell out of me a lot more than it bothers him lol

And while I wait for the lighting conditions to change, here's an update on the Pick-a-Brick wall at the Mall of America

Sand green 1x1 bricks and 1x2 plates are in for July, as are 1x2 grille bricks, green headlamp bricks, sand blue 1x1 bricks, a couple types of bricks in (I think?) the same shade that the new Beetle comes in (didn't get any of those), 2x2 tan tiles, and some kind of wheels and tires. Small palm tree leaves are still abundant in the unsorted bin.

Minifig bins have Ultra Agents disheveled suit jacket torsos, Female Ski Lady CMF torsos, Pizza Guy torsos, Flamenco Dancer dress slopes, some kind of caveman hoodie torsos with leather drawstring cords, and Octan jackets, as well as plenty of the CMF Old Timey Diver helmets. There are a lot of new hair and headwear pieces too.

Star Wars, I think. The clips are really shitty and the material has that slippery not-quite-right feel, but it is a real Lego element.

Man that's disappointing, I've always thought most of the new Star Wars Lego figs where over designed and didn't really fit in well, but that takes the cake.

so, i know some of you guys were discussing the likelihood of a spider-gwen minifigure in the future, and i stumbled upon this in the toys to life thread

could the fact that they had planned to include her in Disney Infinity increase the likelihood of her showing up in other places, e.g., lego sets?

Spider-Gwen is basically a license to print money. I'm sure she'll pop up in other stuff, friend.

is she? i've read the comics but I have no idea how successful they were financially or anything like that

i just figure if the marketing liaisons from marvel are suggesting her for infinity, they might be suggesting her for lego too

I'd argue that her popularity is the reason she would be considered for infinity. That same popularity would be the reason we get a Lego Gwen.

She's popular since day one, mostly because of her design, but also because of Emma Stone in the ASM movies.

Many cosplayers are portraying Spider Gwen and other fanmade varient like Gwenom or Superior Gwen.

They give her one comic book series, many Gwen comicbook varient were made (GwenPool was one of those varients, and she also had her own series now).

It doesn't matter that their helmet printing is similar if the rest of their bodies are different from each other.

So the results haven't come in yet, but I've already started working on my July challenge build. It's still a WIP; I need to replace those green and blue bits with some lovely bright red.

I'm also having trouble with getting the curvature right, but I guess when you're using Lego you gotta make do.

Do you have the Starter Pack? It would be cool to see an arcade portal build.
>>
>>5776214
Nah. I only have a wii u that I could play the actual game on, and im not dropping any where near $100 for the gimped version of the game.

PC or bust, lego.

To add to this.

What would you guys all say is a good color to start with for like, that dark corner in an arcade with the machine that is well played, practically falling apart with a fuzzy screen and the color worn off the sticks/buttons. For as shit as the machine is now, you always see that same dude in there, playing the shit out of it. He pumps his quarters in, sips off his free refills and barely even glances at anyone else who may come in. The owners know the guy is good, he doesnt start any shit, is respectful and pays for everything and anything. It is HIS corner of the arcade.

GO!

The princess sets are not bad at all. I got the Rapunzel tower on clearance and I really think it gets unfair judgments. Sure, it has a lot of pastel colors. It still builds nice. The friends style dolls are my only complaint.

Jasmine's palace looks fine. I'm not sure why you need the lamp, palm tree, or merchant stall, but they don't really take anything away from the set. The carpet is cleverly designed and I believe printed. I don't see why you wouldn't buy it if you want it. You know?

You can still access your wanted list by the old method, go to your wanted list and then click the "classic" button at the end of the options bar.
