I'm the second guy. I don't have a problem with your collection. I figured the reason you chose not to show that many zoomed in photos of your actual toys is because you where being conscious about displaying "cheap"/retail toys in an otherwise quality display. Looks like I figured correctly. That said, I don't take issue with that; it goes to show that a good display can make the best of toys no matter the quality; conversely I've seen absolutely horrible displays that where just Hot Toys or pricy vintage imports. At any rate, its much more confidant mixing the higher end stuff with cheap/retail stuff than just huddling them in a corner or whatever.

See, all in all, this is much more interesting than the same zoomed out pics of your room, lighting or not.

I don't think there's really a scarcity problem with these seeing as how they were mass produced as "collectables" that people are now unloading. I see heaps of them (not lobsters specifically)at every thrift store for $0.50-$1.00 so I don't think I'm stopping others from enjoying lobsters.

My collection is currently boxed up for the most part because my house just sold. Call it an excuse if you want, I have nothing to gain by hiding the truth on an anonymous image board. I also have a baby and not much free time or cash for perfecting my display room. I'm the kind of guy who likes a classy museum style approach with lighted displays and attractive office/computer furniture. My toy room doubles as a home work place. You can buy these foam strip things to seal off the corners where dust gets in. It's a pretty common mod for them.

Also, while we're talking about dust....my new apartment gets WAY dusty for some reason. Much faster than my old places too. Dusting ALL of my displayed toys on a weekly basis has gotten really tiring, so I've been considering buying an air purifier to cut down on the dust levels. It really does. I have a ton of transformers and other figures in my computer room, and they used to get dusty as shit in there, but after throwing an air purifier into the room everythings is so much fucking cleaner.

I was skeptical when i bought it but the articulations pretty good its relatively simple to pose and it feels sturdy. The materials feel high quality and the weapons feel heavy and solid. All in all it was worth the money its much heavier than the revoltech figures i have and is bigger too. If you get the opportunity to buy one i think it wont disappoint.

That's intentional. The dioder lights come with 4 strips, so I used 2 for the inside of the case and glued the other 2 to the back of the case to make that glowing effect behind the case.

I take it you've not seen video game collectors on Youtube. It's quite easy for collectors to spend $50K on their collections, only to throw them haphazardly and tightly packed onto $50 shelves. It gets worse with the ones who put the overflow into storage tubs and the cords from their 50 spare controllers get so tangled up, they may as well have fused into a life form. To top it off, they own their own homes, but the houses cost less than the games did so they look cheap and almost in a state of disrepair, with 70s wood paneling on the walls.

Never underestimate a hoarder's ability to focus money on their hobby and nowhere else.

uh, same reason someone buys a poster, statueshit, etc instead of just printing it out to post on their wall? I still have a 36" CRT (that has lasted longer than multiple LCD TVs, because old stuff was made to last) and I still have a blast playing old games. I keep my games in normal media office furniture. Yeah I was toying around with adding some grate to the bottom to start with

Dora is 1/35 made it in 8-9 weeks the paint abit more.it was 3 years ago .the problem i had is where to put this kit, its 2.20 meters long and i wanted to keep it clean so i bought a custom case that cost the same as the model it self.
at least its always clean.
i got the glass display cases from a store called shop for shops.
all the models are made by me with a few made by friends of mine.Very very few..
I always take fotos of my work.
The 1/35 Schnellboot was my first try with large boats but it was a fun build worth the pain.
i am going to make two more custom cases so i can put the rest inside.same size as the Dora kits but half the size.
The 1/35 Leopold is a problem for me.I like to add more train wagons for it and also a locomotive but its getting to long to display as one piece.
will post photo soon.I always have the problem of displaying my stuff there are just too many.i still have half a garage of starwars hasbro and kenner .its only now that i have started to buy the glass displays i have 6 of them now.3 for ww2 1/35 kits and 3 for star wars.
but i still have other displays around the house for the new falcon and large vintage kenner toys--death star- Endor village-also the rare queen Amidala ship from episode 1 its also very big.will post photos soon.
