That was kind of the general complaint that people had with the armor back then because it looked more like slip-on pieces than a guy wearing a full suit of armor with tech inside. It's the reason why some people preferred the Mark 4 in IM2 because it took the Mark 3 design and made it look more like a guy could actually fit inside it.

I agree about the shoulder pads but the rest of the suit being bulky is actually accurate since the Mark 45-46 are two of the most bulky suits Tony has worn by far. If anything, these are actually a tad small considering how much more thick the Mark 46 is supposed to look compared to previous suits.

If Gedo had any intention of putting Cole in the G1, he would've been there. This year follows a pretty close pattern of every other year in recent history. Cole never had a chance. I think the only figure that had its sculpt modified was Obi Wan, where they remolded the head to be about 10% larger. The original head was too tiny, so nothing else was actually changed. Just the size.

The only complaint about these I can understand is the Stone Cold likeness, it isn't as recognizable as it should be. But the Rock looks spot on. People saying these are too thin are probably just too accustomed to fictional, over-the-top body types and have forgotten that real people don't look like that.

Not that guy but one time I received a figma with two left legs. This is a factory error and covered by GSC's replacement terms. Amiami said they could only offer me 200 yen in Amiami points or nothing. Basically they didn't want to spend the money to ship it overseas to me so I was given a "fuck you" in the form of a couple bucks pity money. This was before GSC acknowledged customers outside Japan so I couldn't contact them directly.

In contrast, I got a Revoltech with a broken arm from HLJ and they told me they didn't have replacement parts anymore and they'd have to send a whole new figure. I told them not to worry about it and I'd just glue the piece. Two weeks later I get a new figure in the mail.

This was like 5 years ago so HLJ might have gone to shit since then, I don't know, but I do know that Amiami doesn't give a shit about you.

I doubt it. They haven't fixed any issues on figures for a long time. Look at all the recent Iron Men even, mark 43, 45, 46, all have gross inaccuracies because they were based on concept art, that could have been fixed if they really ever did that. Even the 43 simply had a lot of paint inaccuracies that were clearly visible when it went to pre-order, not fixed.

When these things go to pre-order, shit is locked down. They have started production and are not making any changes from here.

The only real complaint I've ever consistently seen about Amiami is that whether or not they ban you seems to come down to a throw of the dice.

Not to mention, it seems like it ends up actually happening pretty rarely. Some people flat-out ignore their payment requests--sometimes two or three in a row--and never get banned for it.

Price for figures from HLJ to Amiami is always a little different. Some figures cost more on HLJ, but a little less on Amiami. Some cost a little more on Amiami, but a little less on HLJ.

I've never seen or heard of the problem with shipping with them, either. If anything, they've added more shipping options, and also it seems like they have more box sizes than they used to. And I haven't felt like their prices for shipping have really gone up at all over recent years.

It seems if anything, more people are bitching about HLJ these days, than anything. They seem to be taking a lot longer to ship things out than they used to, and people are complaining about items they've preordered suddenly being backstocked for weeks on end, come release day.
